SANFORD -- Alvin Leroy Brazell, 42, of 103 E. Chisholm St. died Tuesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Lee Memory Gardens by the Rev. Otto Meadows.
Mr. Brazell is survived by his wife, Annette S. Brazell; three son, Travis L. Brazell of Whiteville, Jasper D. Brazell of Spring Lake and Jason R. Brazell of the home; two daughters, Christy M. Haire of Sanford and Sybil A. Brazell of the home; his father, Alvin Brazell of Alabama; two sisters, Ruth B. Carlyle of Sanford and Darlene B. Donovan of Whiteville; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Louise M. Holzwarth
SEVEN LAKES -- Mrs. Louise M. Holzwarth, 90, of Seven Lakes died Jan. 8 in Manor Health Center in Pinehurst.
She was active in the Sons and Daughters of Liberty for many years.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Seven Lakes Chapel in the Pines by the Rev. Scott Homesley. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Holzwarth is survived by two daughters, Janice M. Doyle and Florence H. Murphy, both of Seven Lakes; a brother, William Stocek of Shelton, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

FOUR OAKS -- Mrs. Ruby Barefoot West, 77, of 9381 U.S. 301 South died Tuesday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Rose & Graham Funeral Home chapel in Benson by the Revs. C.H. Lee and Jesse Hathaway. Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. West is survived by two daughters, Frances W. Turnage of Dunn and Teresa West of Clayton; two sons, Otis W. West of Knightdale and Joseph C. West of Morehead City; a sister, Lellon Thornton of Dunn; two brothers, Nokelee Barefoot of Dunn and Jasper Barefoot of Benson; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

PHILADELPHIA -- Lonze D. McAllister, 62, of Philadelphia, formerly of Chadbourn, N.C., died Thursday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John Baptist Church by the Rev. Gordon Griffin. Burial will be in Belvue cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by D & A Funeral Service of Chadbourn.
Mr. McAllister is survived by his wife, Alice McAllister; two sons, Alonzo T. McAllister of Chadbourn and Daniel McAllister of Brown, N.Y.; a daughter, Doris Yates of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Louise Franklin of Brooklyn, Margaret Dunham of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ruby Bellamy of Chadbourn; three brothers, Auther McAllister, Rudolph Gore and Russell McAllister, all of Chadbourn; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bullard is survived by two daughters, Carol B. Giddens of Fayetteville and Linda B. Barnes of Augusta, Ga.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ABERDEEN -- Retired Army Lt. Col. Don Ward Everett, 78, of Aberdeen died Tuesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

DUNN -- Mrs. Lucy Pope Thompson, 93, of Dunn died Tuesday in Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Divine Street United Methodist Church, and had taught in Dunn elementary schools.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Divine Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Francis Daniel. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by three sons, John C. “Bill” Thompson of San Marino, Calif., James W. “Jim” Thompson of Charlotte and Wesley M. “Tom” Thompson of Hong Kong; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Sikes
Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles Randolph Sikes, 70, of 1408 Converse Ave., Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg.
Mr. Sikes was a member, Sunday school teacher and former deacon of Bonnie Doone Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of 23 years, having served in World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired after 19 years as a stockroom/receiving manager for Kmart.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bonnie Doone Baptist Church by the Rev. Ronnie Reynolds. Burial will be in the Main Post cemetery on Fort Bragg.
Mr. Sikes is survived by his wife, Martina S. Sikes of the home; two daughters, Suzette S. Ray of Fortson, Ga., and Susan S. Sikes of Kinston; two sons, Charles R. Sikes Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Chandler R. Sikes of Dunn; four sisters, Irma J. Collins of Collins, Ga., Willow D. Collins of Eastman, Ga., and Frances S. Beasley and Brenda S. Beasley, both of Metter, Ga.; two brothers, Everette Sikes of Dublin, Ga., and Ronald D. Sikes of Metter; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in 82nd Airborne Division Memorial Chapel on Fort Bragg. Burial with full military honors will be in the Main Post cemetery on Fort Bragg. Arrangements are being handled by Sechrest Funeral Home of High Point.
Mr. McGrail is survived by his wife, Gail McGrail of the home; two daughters, Dr. Mary A. McGrail-Reid of Crown Point, Ind., and Maureen M. Dunkley of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; a son, Brian McGrail of Columbus, Ohio; his mother, Helen Johnson of Hooksett, N.H.; a brother, Col. Karl Johnson of Fort Bragg; and six grandchildren.
