Mrs. Bonnie F. Lee

Mrs. Bonnie Faye Lee, 65, of 455 Concord Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday in her home.

Mrs. Lee was a saleswoman for K-Mart. She was a member of Northwood Temple.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Northwood Temple by the Rev. John Hedgepeth. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, Frank E. Lee of the home; two sons, Dennis E. Lee and Randall A. Lee, both of Linden; three daughters, Sandra Kessner, Terri Salinski and Kimberly Lee, all of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jack Prince of Ackworth, Ga., and Paul M. Prince of Loris, S.C.; two sisters, Myrtle Davajoin of Awendaw, S.C., and Wilma Cox of Calabash; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home.

William L. Jobson

Retired Army Lt. Col. William Lee Jobson Jr., 73, of 620 Welsh Place, Fayetteville, died Monday in his home.

Mr. Jobson was a veteran of the Vietname War and retired as a chaplain after 20 years of service.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in JFK Chapel on Fort Bragg by Chaplain Aiken. Burial with military honors will be in Sandhills State Veterans cemetery in Spring Lake.

Mr. Jobson is survived by his wife, Ruth C. Jobson of the home; a son, Vernon Jobson of Shawnee, Okla.; a daughter, Malinda Frangione of Yukon, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

PARKTON -- Alexander McGeachy, 65, of Route 1 died Friday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in McKoy & Sons Mortuary chapel in St. Pauls by Elder Alexander Glover. Burial will be in Big Marsh cemetery.

Mr. McGeachy is survived by his wife, Ella Mae McGeachy of the home; a daughter, Carolyn Baldwin of Fayetteville; his mother, Daisy L. McGeachy of St. Pauls; three sisters, Marie Brinson of Fayetteville, Queen McGeachy of St. Pauls and Lena Hillard of Schenectady, N.Y.; a brother, Willie McGeachy of St. Pauls; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mr. Drye is survived by his wife, Cynthia R. Drye of the home; three daughters, Shcoma Drye, Briana Drye and Timorah Drye, all of the home; a son, Jerrelle Drye of the home; his mother, Ruby Rivers of St. Pauls; a sister, Cynthia L. Drye of Islip, N.Y.; three brothers, Andrewal L. Drye, Darryl L. Blanks and Denzel M. Blanks, all of St. Pauls; and his paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Esther Drye of St. Pauls.

LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Hattie Pearl David Kelly, 72, of 817 Cary St. died Thursday.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by six sons, Ernest “Bojack” Kelly and Joe L. Kelly, both of Laurel Hill, Alexander “June” Kelly of Laurinburg, John Kelly and Ken Kelly, both of Wagram and Alex Leonard of Rockingham; four daughters, Lena “Coot” Wilson and Hattie “Lue” Lendon, both of Laurinburg, Juanita “Neet” McIntyre of Laurel Hill and Tabatha Burk of Laurinburg; two stepchildren, Dannie Crosland of Laurel Hill and Curtis “Cooda” Leak of Laurinburg; four brothers, Willie David and Jesse David, both of Laurel Hill, and James David and Joe David, both of Laurinburg; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McBrayer is survived by her husband, Phil McBrayer of the home; a daughter, Sheri Chamberlin of Greensboro; a son, Jeff Clark of High Point; her mother Louise Canady of Hope Mills; two sisters, Betty C. Britt and Mittie C. Elliott, both of Hope Mills; and two brothers, John Canady of Hope Mills and Hal Canady of Jacksonville, Fla.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Demetrios Stathopoulos, formerly Jimmy Poulos, 37, of 621 Islington St., and 419 Northview Drive, Fayetteville, died Thursday.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Fayetteville by the Revs. Chrysostom Manuel and Angelo Pappas. Burial will be in Fayetteville Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers & Breece Funeral Home.

Mr. Stathopoulos is survived by his parents, Gus S. Poulos and Penny K. Poulos, both of Fayetteville; a brother, Spiros G. Poulos of Portsmouth; and a sister, Mary Pappas of Portsmouth.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the church. A trisagion service will begin at 7:30.

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Grant McMillian, 72, of Elizabethtown died Friday in Bladen County Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Baldwin Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. G.F. Pone. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by F.W. Newton and Sons Mortuary.

Mr. McMillian is survived by five sons, Graddie McMillian of Paterson, N.J., Charles McMillian and Glenn McIntyre, both of Elizabethtown, Otis McMillian of Austin, Texas, and James Moultrie of Dunn; two daughters, Doris Snells of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Clydie Brown of Baltimore; four brothers, James McMillian and Thomas McMillian, both of Elizabethtown, David McMillian of Fayetteville, and Preston McMillian of Mount Vernon; a sister, Jessie Rhodie of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Swinton is survived by his wife, Ernestine Swinton; a daughter, Vandelia Todd of Cincinnati; two sons, Billy Swinton of Dubuque, Ohio, and Michael Swinton of Bronx, N.Y.; and two sisters, Lula Reaves of Chadbourn and Sarah Brinkley of Brooklyn, N.Y.

CLARKSVILLE, Va. -- Mrs. Joan Blanchard Matthis, 67, of 37 Lake Drive, formerly of Sampson County, N.C., died Saturday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

Mrs. Matthis was a bookkeeper and an accountant for Peace Garrett Real Estate.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Moore family cemetery in Rose Hill. Local arrangements are being handled by Royal-Hall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Matthis is survived by a daughter, Sharon M. Churchill of Durham; three sons, Steven L. Matthis of Stem, N.C., Wayne Matthis of Clarksville and Frank Matthis of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Gloria B. Cartlen and June B. Latchford, both of Sterling; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at J.M. White Funeral Home in Henderson and other times at the home.

Morrison of Fayetteville; two brothers, Lacy Stackhouse and Pierce Stackhouse, both of Fayetteville; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Cunningham & Sons Mortuary.
