STEDMAN -- Mrs. Ruby B. Hall, 81, of Route 2, Box 256-A, died Tuesday in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Stedman Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip Spears. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hall is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Honeycutt of Stedman and Faye Robertson of Houston; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

James E. Howard
BENSON -- James E. Howard, 62, of 101 Porter St. died Monday.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Dafford Funeral Home chapel in Dunn by the Rev. Eddie Swindell. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery.
Mr. Howard is survived by Linda F. Graham, with whom he lived; three daughters, Shelia Graham of Benson, Donnie Green of Dunn and Marilyn Hayes of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Anthony Lockamy and Dale Irving, both of Benson, and Frederick Lockamy of Clayton; two stepdaughters, Crystal Stewart and Demetrice Graham, both of Benson; a sister, Doretha Brooks of Whiteville; three brothers, Woodard Howard of New York, Roosevelt Howard of New Jersey and Milton Howard of Whiteville; and several grandchildren.
The public will be received tonight from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Margaret O. Holland
ROSEBORO -- Mrs. Margaret O’Steen Holland, 75, of 1549 Loop Road, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown by the Rev. Bob Bergland. Burial will be in Elizabethtown City cemetery.
Mrs. Holland is survived by a son, Mark R. Holland of Wilmington; two daughters, Deborah H. Nunnery of Roseboro and Terrie H. Priest of Whiteville; her mother, Corina L. O’Steen of Durham; a sister, Thelma O. Fields of Creedmoore; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Kinlaw Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Rachel C. Norman, 67, of 620 Carl Drive died Tuesday.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Fairley’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Mattie Austin. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her husband, John Norman of the home; a daughter, Rosa Johnson of Laurel Hill; two sisters, Rosa Easterling of Laurinburg and Letha M. Carson of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Dan Campbell Jr. and John P. Campbell, both of Washington, D.C., and Joe L. Campbell of Winston-Salem; and three grandchildren.

Neil A. Watson
LAURINBURG -- Neil Arch Watson, 81, of Laurinburg died Wednesday in Vancor Hospital in Greensboro.
Mr. Watson was a retired farmer and a member of Midway Presbyterian Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Midway Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Roger Decker. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Myrtle J. Watson; two sons, David Watson of Red Springs and Moses Paul of Shreveport. La; a daughter, Joyce Howell of Laurinburg; a brother, Tracy Watson of Maxton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Worley is survived by two stepdaughters, Lucy M. SOUTHERN PINES -- Robert Henderson, 90, of Southern Pines died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Henderson was a retired postman and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Assosciation of Retired Persons and Community Congregational Church.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Congregational Church by the Rev. Kurt Traugott. Entombment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Henderson is survived by a son, Robert O. Henderson of Carthage; and a daughter, Penny Henderson-Black of Pinehurst.

Mrs. Hicks retired from the Garden City, N.Y., Social Service Department as a welfare examiner.

PINEHURST -- Albert Frederick Erdman, 80, of Pinehurst died Thursday.
Mr. Erdman retired as president of Associated Testing Labs in Wayne, N.J., and had been a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America for 46 years.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Boles Funeral Home & Crematory in Pinehurst by the Rev. G. Scott Homesley.
Mr. Erdman is survived by his wife, Jane W. Erdman; two daughters, Dina H. VanDuyne of Sarasota, Fla., and Gretchen E. Erdman of Orange, N.J; two stepsons, Paul F. Wagner of Wayne, Richard E. Wagner of Bloomington, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
