LOUISBURG -- Carl Nicholas Ray, 79, of 198 Ransdell Road died Wednesday in Britthaven of Louisburg.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in New Hope Christian Church by the Rev. Bob Hultman. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral Home.

Among Mr. Ray’s survivors is a son, Robert Ray of Fayetteville.

William Lewis

LUMBERTON -- William “Willie Bill” Lewis, 85, formerly of 58 Chambers St., died Sunday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Bishop Charles McDowell in Fairmont cemetery.

Mr. Lewis is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends tonight from 3 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home in Fairmont.

Willie E. Murchison

CLARKTON -- Willie Edward Murchison, 65, of 198 Red Hill St. died Wednesday in Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in White Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan C. Gerald. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Murchison is survived by his wife, Lelia R. Murchison; four daughters, Annie L. Murchison of Elizabethtown, and Sheryl K. Murchison, Victoria Murchison and Melissa Murchison, all of Clarkton; nine sons, Johnnie Murchison of Council, Otis L. Murchison, Ernest E. Murchison, Admiral J. Murchison, Jerry W. Murchison, Perry L. Murchison, Willie J. Murchison and Milton L. Murchison, all of Clarkton, and Anthony Murchison of Wilmington; two brothers, Harold Murchison and Lewis Murchison, both of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Annie Drye, Bessie Blanks and Anna Collins, all of Elizabethtown; and 13 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 6 p.m at F.W. Newton & Sons Mortuary in Elizabethtown.

Richard L. Stanback

ROCKINGHAM -- Richard Lee Stanback Jr., 41, of 106 Sara Rose Lane died Tuesday in Hamlet Hospital in Hamlet.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove AME Zion Church by the Rev. Ruth Beasley. Burial will be in Lee Thee Church cemetery.

Mr. Stanback is survived by two daughters, Angelica Stanback and Qiara Stanback, both of Rockingham; three sons, William Ingram and Timothy Stanback, both of Rockingham, and Chris Wall of Hamlet; his parents, William and Lucille C. Stanback of the home; three sisters, Olivia Stanback of the home, Bertha Williams of High Point and Glenn E. Stanback of Raleigh; two brothers, Timothy Stanback of Charlotte and Dennis Covington of Ellerbe; and a grandchild.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Charles McNeill Funerals.

SANFORD -- Charles Erwin Bloedorn, 85, of Carolina Trace died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jonesboro United Methodist Church by the Rev. Terry Bryant.

Mr. Bloedorn is survived by his wife, Dorothy D. Bloedorn; a son, Timothy Bloedorn of Akron, Ohio; a daughter, Beth A. Brown of Akron; two stepdaughters, Sandy Beljon of Oakwood Village, Ohio, and Barbara Hendershott of Lancaster, Pa.; a sister, Helen Gillespie of Chicago; three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

CONWAY, S.C. -- Mrs. Isla M. Cribb Morris, 79, of Conway died Thursday in Conway Hospital.

Among Mrs. Morris’ survivors is a daughter, Minnie P. Shelley of Erwin, N.C.

Mr. Ray was a retired logger.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro by the Rev. Steve Eakes. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ray is survived by five daughters, Wanda Hales and Barbara R. Melvin, both of Roseboro, Margie R. Strickland of Lillington, Marilyn Hudson of Falcon and Brenda MillsPaugh of Sneads Ferry; a son, G.W. Ray of Hope Mills; a brother, Sidney Ray of Autryville; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

HOPE MILLS -- Mrs. Diana “Dee Dee” Nills Inman, 35, of 5713 Crenshaw Drive died Wednesday.

Mrs. Inman was regional vice president of Cato Corp.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Church of the Open Door. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Inman is survived by her husband, Ricky R. Inman; a son, Joseph “Joey” R. Richardson of Hope Mills; her parents, Robert A. and Charlotte K. Parker of Parkton; and her stepfather and stepmother, Ralph and Bertelle Richardson of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills.

SHANNON -- Mrs. Cella Britt, 88, of Covington Farm Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Mrs. Britt was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in St. Pauls.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Friendship Baptist Church by the Rev. Milton Hall. Burial will be in the Britt family cemetery in Rennert.

Mrs. Britt is survived by seven sons, Eddie Britt of Fairmont, Leslie Britt of Fitzgerald, Ga., Buddy Britt of Lumberton, Harold Britt, Jay Britt and Wayne Britt, all of Shannon, and Bert Britt of Harrisburg, Ohio; two daughters, Ellaree B. Jackson of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Peggy B. Walters of Shannon; 37 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory in Lumberton.

RAEFORD -- Mrs. Kathryn Haas Todd, 85, of 272 Bostic Road died Thursday in Autumn Care Nursing Home.

Mrs. Todd is survived by her husband, Leland Todd; three daughters, Norma Weerda of Winnebago, Ill., Sandra Bullock of Parkton and Ethel Sullivan of Longwood, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. McGregor had been a farmer.

Mrs. Grace J. Fujiwara

Mrs. Grace Jean Fujiwara, 67, of 464 Homestead Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Fujiwara was a nurse’s assistant for Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for 21 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sperring Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Fujiwara is survived by three daughters, Deborah Stephenson and Marissa Vossen, both of Fayetteville, and Monica Mieczkowski of Autryville; a son, Charles Fujiwara of Burlington; a sister, Bernice Dalaba of Brockport, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wiseman Mortuary.
