PHILADELPHIA — Mr. Willie James Terrill Jr., 60, of 842 S. 41st St., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at University Hospital, Philadelphia.
He was born to Annie Mae Morrow Terrill and the late Willie J. Terrill Sr. on Feb. 11, 1946, in Earl.
He was a 1963 graduate of Cleveland High School and North Carolina Central University in Durham. He retired from the Philadelphia Department of Health-Air Management Division.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Levon Terrill Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Annie Mae Terrill; a son, Willie J. Terrill III of Harlem, N.Y.; a sister, Sonjia Morrow; and a brother, Gregory Terrill, all of Philadelphia; aunts, Jessie Boykins of Philadelphia, Selma Morrow of Charlotte, Molene Morrow of Shelby, Lottie Morrow of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sylvia Morrow of Lenoir and Azelea Terrill of Gaffney, S.C.; uncles, Mitchell Terrill of Shelby and Johnny Gaither of Philadelphia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

CLOVER, S.C. — Mr. C. David Owens, 51, of 720 Shady Forest Road, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C.
Mr. Owens was a native of Lumberton, born Jan. 30, 1955, to James Edward and Ruby Tatum Owens of Simpsonville, S.C. He was the school psychologist for Cleveland County and Kings Mountain schools for 28 years and a member of the Greater Life Ministries at Clover Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Doneese Allen Owens of the home; daughter and fiancé, Liana Rebecca Owens of the home and Justin Blackwell of Clover, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy David and Allison Owens of Clover; three brothers, Jay Owens of Anderson, S.C., Frank Owens of Seneca, S.C., and Danny Owens of Bladenboro; and a sister, Linda O. Lane of Williston, S.C.

BOILING SPRINGS — Mrs. Beth Rachel Parson, 48, of 117 Holland Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at home.
A native of Wayne County, Mich., she was a daughter of Joyce Ashdown of Shelby and the late William Thomas Ashdown. She was a pet groomer and was recognized for her pet therapy, having visited many facilities with her dogs. Mrs. Parson was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and served in the Army.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Dawn Ashdown.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Parson of the home; a son, Troy Thomas Parson of the home; three daughters, Amber Ashdown Potter and husband, Robert, of Shelby, Angline Dixon and husband, Jim, of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Stephanie Marie Parson of the home; a brother, Neil Ashdown and wife, Judy, of Shelby; four grandchildren, Austin Potter, Jace Potter, Reece Potter and Summer Bassett, all of Shelby; two nieces, Myria Ashdown and Amber Bailey, both of Shelby; and a nephew, Cole Passino.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Sunday after the service at Crestview Baptist Church and other times at the home of her mother, 3003 Poplar Circle, Shelby.

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Mrs. Reba Mae Glover Williams, 69, of Apartment B, 2237 Lime St., formerly of Lattimore, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Pacific Hospital in Long Beach, Calif.
A native of Lattimore, she was born March 3, 1938, to the late Johnnie O. Glover Robbs and James Williams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Williams; a son, Dorsey Williams Jr.; a sister, Virginia McIntosh Logan; three brothers, James “Son” Glover, Charles “Chick” Glover and Robert “Bus” Glover; and her grandmother, Mary Jane “Coot” Glover.
Surviving are sons, Randy Dewayne Williams of Long Beach, Kennedy Lee Williams of Pasadena, Calif., and Christopher Lewis Williams of Seattle; one daughter, Luciana Denise Williams of Long Beach; two brothers, Sanders Glover of Lattimore and Ralph Glover of Shelby; four sisters, China Glover Lane of Shelby, Mary Jackson of Hyattsville, Md., Johnnie Mae Easterling of Spartanburg, S.C., and Nan Glover Johnson of Lattimore; one aunt, Mary Lee Finney of Kings Mountain; two great-aunts, Una Mae Colquiett of Shelby and Mary Sue Martin of York, S.C.; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

SHELBY — Mrs. Martha Theo McSwain Dellinger, 81, of New Prospect Church Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville.
She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Gaffney, S.C., to the late Hugh K. McSwain and Lizzie Adeline Fulton McSwain. She graduated from Shelby High School and worked with her husband on the dairy farm and retired from Doran Textiles as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, the Adult Senior Ladies Sunday school class and the Fallston Eastern Star. She loved to cook for her family and the Homeless Shelter of Shelby, enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family and sharing family memories.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Harold B. Dellinger; five brothers, Kinard McSwain, Wylie McSwain, Dempsey “Buster” McSwain, Claude McSwain and Rodgers McSwain; and four sisters, Velvo McSwain, Emmie McSwain Dixon, Flora McSwain Evans and Gladys McSwain Kelly.
Mrs. Dellinger is survived by her two sons, Harold Broadus Dellinger and wife, Diane, and Michael Adrian Dellinger and wife, Lena, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Karen Dellinger Moss and husband, Scott, of Shelby, Christopher M. Dellinger and Heather of Weaverville, Zachary A. Dellinger, Joshua C. Dellinger and Carrie A. Dellinger, all of Shelby; two great-grandchildren, Jada and Jackson Dellinger; two sisters, Clydie McSwain Kaylor of Gastonia and Maude McSwain Whisnant of Polkville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Elizabeth D. and Lloyd Massey of Dudley, Frances Williams of Greenville, S.C., Joyce Dellinger of Morganton, Marilyn D. Hoyle of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kay McSwain of Melbourne, Fla., and Dwight and Lillian Dellinger of Fallston; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
