Daniel Robinson
Daniel Ray Robinson, 61, of Sharonville, Ohio, formerly of Supply, died Dec. 15, 2010.
He was a son of John D. and Ella Rae Robinson of Holden Beach.
Survivors in addition to his parents are his wife, Sandy Robinson; two daughters, Erika Robinson and husband Rick Beckner, Mary Olzer and husband Dale; a brother, David Robinson and wife Linda, of Supply; two sisters, Debbie Ludlum and husband Johnny, Demona Ludlum and husband Andy, all of Supply; and five grandchildren.

Elmer ‘Albert’ Wells
On Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, Elmer “Albert” Wells, of Southport and Calabash and formerly from Washington, D.C., lost his battle with cancer. He has returned home to God’s loving arms.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Wells; and his six sisters, Mary Radar, Stella Steelman, Florence Goines, Dorothy Chelini, Myrtle Jones and Betty Wells.

Agnes Stocks
Agnes Mae Gore Stocks, 82, of Nakina, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Liberty Commons.
She was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Columbus County, a daughter of the late Robert Luther Hall Gore and Nettie “Vass” Gore.
Survivors include a daughter, Lydia Hewett of Whiteville; a son, Campbell “Butch” Stocks of Nakina; a brother, Guy Gore of Nakina; three sisters, Clovis Long, Jenette Long and Nell Stocks, all of Nakina; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Carolyn Sprague
Carolyn Ellis Sprague, 62, of Cleveland, Ohio, died on Dec. 14, 2010.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Dec. 9, 1948.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Sprague of Little River, S.C.; a son, Jason Tucker of Little River, S.C.; a daughter, Jennifer Carter and husband Kim Carter of Shallotte; and one granddaughter.
Her body was donated to The Cash Western Reserve Medical School.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Furman Prevatte
Furman Barfield Prevatte, 76, Shallotte, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1934, in Bladen County, a son of the late William Clyde and Laure Lee Ratley Prevatte.

Eleanor McMahon
Eleanor McMahon of Calabash died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 11, 1948, a daughter of the late Theodore M. and Stella Kacer.
Mrs. McMahon was devoted to her family and was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.

Boyce Herlocker
Ray Boyce Herlocker Jr., 61, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following an automobile accident.
He was born in Asheboro, a son of Gladys Herlocker and the late Ray Boyce Herlocker Sr. and his surviving wife, Kaye Herlocker of Asheboro.
He was a North Carolina National Guard veteran and was the former owner of Custom Machine and Design Inc. He will be remembered for loving and living life to the fullest.

Debra G. Eastman
AUTRYVILLE - Ms. Debra G. Eastman, 51, of Autryville, has won her battle with cancer and now she has gone home to be with her Lord.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville by Pastor Paul Honeycutt. The burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Bell Eastman; and father, Leonard Eastman.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Ezzell and husband Jimmy of Autryville and Donna Espinoza and husband Damien of Supply; son, Charles Victor Wilbur of Supply; seven grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Katelyn and Trenton Ezzell and Mason, Xavier and Cheyenne Espinoza; four brothers, Stonie Eastman, Wayne Eastman, Ronnie Eastman and Ricky Eastman; and three sisters, Lori Spears, Betty Webb and Susan Drewry.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

William Clemmons
William “Bill” Franklin Clemmons, 69, of Shallotte died on Dec. 19, 2010.
He was born on June 15, 1941, a son of the late George David Clemmons and Catherine Jones Clemmons. He retired from the U.S. Navy and the Navy Reserves with 23 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil Ann; a son, Paul and wife Claire of Leland; a daughter, Rhonda Clemmons of Ocean Isle Beach; a sister, Margaret Black of Easly, S.C.; and two grandchildren.

Ina Atkinson
Mrs. Ina Belle Fulford Atkinson, 86, of Holden Beach, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Autumn Care Nursing Center in Shallotte.
Mrs. Atkinson was born in New Hanover County on June 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Murchison and Molly Gore Holden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of many years, James Fulford; her second husband, Andy Atkinson; and a son, Ronnie Fulford.

Melva Webb
Mrs. Melva Tiley Webb, 86, of High Point, died April 23, 2012, at High Point Hospice Home following a lengthy illness.
A funeral Mass was set for 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on the corner of Johnson St. and Skeet Club Road in High Point by Father Joseph Zuschmidt O.S.F.S. Burial was set to follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be in the Gathering Area of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church one hour prior to the service.

Jo Ann Wallach
Jo Ann Wallach, 60, formerly of Morrisville, Pa., died suddenly on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at her home in Longs, S.C.
A prayer service was at 6:45 p.m. Friday, April 20, in the funeral home chapel.
Arrangements by Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

James Saunders
James “Jim” Saunders, 74, Bolivia, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
James was born in Rockingham, on Oct. 21, 1937, a son of the late Jesse Louis Saunders and Nellie Andrews Saunders. He married icon his wife Greta of 51 years in 1961. He graduated from N.C. State University in 1963 and worked as manager and foreign consultant in the apparel industry for 38 years.
He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and sharing produce with neighbors and friends. He was especially devoted to his family and loved his church, neighbors and friends.

Nathan Ridgeway
Nathan Wilbur Ridgeway, 63, of Shallotte, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
He was born in Hope Mills, a son of the late Switzerland and Sudie Bradford Ridgeway.
Surviving is his wife, Lucy Cornelia Ridgeway; two daughters, Mary Ridgeway Whaley, of Shallotte, and Cornelia Ridgeway Fulwood of Ocean Isle Beach; two sisters, Elizabeth Rudloff of Sunset Beach, and Dorothy Ann Williams of Godwin; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Joe Parker Jr.
Joseph Sanders “Joe” Parker Jr., 72, of Sunset Beach, died Friday, April 20, 2012.
Born in Southport, on Oct. 27, 1939, he was a son of the late Joseph Sanders and Versie Viola Grissett Parker,Sr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rachel Parker; and a brother, Glenn Parker.

Beverley Moore
Beverley “B” McGuyer Moore, 64, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her home.
She was born on March 24, 1948, in Thermopolis, Wyo., a daughter of the late Russell and Marry Walters McGuyer.
Surviving is her husband, Kenneth Moore; two daughters, Lori Fargo of Ocean Isle Beach, and Kari Mason of Charlottesville, Va.; two sons, Gary Moore and Andrew Moore; two brothers, David McGuyer of Houston, Texas, and Paul Wong of Dallas, Texas,; and four grandsons.

Michael McGoffin Sr.
Michael James McGoffin Sr., 69, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
A celebration of life service will was at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel.
Arrangements by Brunswick Funeral Service & Crematory, Shallotte.

Dennis Matteotti
Dennis A. Matteotti, 62, of Southport, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at Duke University Medical Center.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1949, in Carrolltown, Pa., and was a son of the late Albert and Peggy Puskar Matteotti.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Matteotti; and a brother, Arthur Matteotti of Oak Park, Ill.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Trent Watts officiating.
