BISHOPVILLE, S.C. -- Mrs. Flossie Mae Narvin, 63, of Bishopville, formerly of Laurel Hill, N.C., died Wednesday in Manor Care Nursing Home in Lexington.
Mrs. Narvin was a homemaker.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in King Cemetery in Laurel Hill by the Rev. Jay Singletary. Arrangements are being handled by McDougald Funeral Home of Laurel Hill.
Mrs. Narvin is survived by a daughter, Nancy Sullivan of Wilmington, N.C.; three sons, Billy Hatcher of the home and Johnny Hatcher and Wayne Hatcher, both of Bennettsville; her stepmother, Beatrice Lockey of Laurinburg, N.C.; five sisters, Anita Lockey and Margaret Hunt, both of Laurinburg, Shelby Butler of Bishopville, Maxine Quick of Pickens and Betty Butler of Laurel Hill; four brothers, Jerry Lockey and Jay Singletary, both of Laurinburg, and Larry Singletary and Buddy Singletary, both of Laurel Hill; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Hazel G. Fulkerson (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
SANFORD -- Mrs. Hazel Greene Fulkerson, 76, of 2926 Cameron Drive died Tuesday.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Terry Bryant. Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Fulkerson is survived by a son, Jerry Fulkerson of South Port; four daughters, Pat Davis of East Palatka, Fla., Joyce Curtis and Phyllis Rhodes, both of Fayetteville, and Deane Johnson of Naples, Fla.; a brother, Leon “Buck” Greene of Archdale; two sisters, Beulah Waddell and Lucille Angel, both of Sanford; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Everlina G. Daniel (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
BOLTON -- Mrs. Everlina Graham Daniel, 58, of 96 Jeff Graham Lane died Tuesday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Graham Chapel AME Zion Church in Riegelwood by elder Aaron Moore. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by a daughter, Shannon V. Daniel of the home; her mother, Addie S. Graham of Freeman; four sisters, Mary J. Graham of Freeman, Margery Deane of Plainfield, N.J., Frances Avery of Raleigh and Carolyn Cromartie of Kelly; and three brothers, Thomas Webb and Collins W. Graham, both of Riegelwood, and Andrew J. Graham of Freeman.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the Peoples Funeral Home chapel in Whiteville.

Rev. Fredrick H. Evans (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
CLINTON -- The Rev. Fredrick H. Evans, 44, of 605 Ashford Drive died Thursday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Elizabeth Thompson (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
ST. PAULS -- Ms. Elizabeth King Thompson, 78, of Route 2, Box 200, died Thursday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the McNeill Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Vann Floyd. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Ms. Thompson is survived by a son, Clifton Thompson of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Margaret Sealey of St. Pauls; two brothers, James King of Whiteville and Alton King of Salt Lake City; three sisters, Ruth Perlman of Southern Pines, Rachel Lucas of Mount Holly and Ellen Strauch of St. Pauls; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Margaret Sealey, 3646 Blanchard Road in St. Pauls.

Mrs. Edna S. Ceruzzi (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Mrs. Edna Squires Ceruzzi, 70, of Pinecrest Drive, formerly of Kelly, a community in Bladen County, N.C., died Tuesday in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Mrs. Ceruzzi served as a nutrition consultant for 40 years in Virginia and North Carolina.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Squires family cemetery in Kelly. Arrangements are being handled by McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ceruzzi is survived by her husband, Frank Ceruzzi of Myrtle Beach; a son, Louis F. Ceruzzi of Atlanta; a daughter, Brenda Whitmore of Nashville, Tenn.; her mother, Fannie M. Squires of Kelly; and three sisters, Roma L. Kelly and Lucille Bramble, both of Kelly, and Alice Johnson of Atkinson, N.C.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.

LAUREL HILL -- Kelvin Robert Gibson, 6-month-old son of Calvin and Sandra Gibson of 6800 Old Wire Road, died Wednesday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Daniel T. Beebe (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
SYLVA -- Daniel Thomas “Nomad” Beebe, 38, of Sylva died Thursday.
Mr. Beebe was cremated. His ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Asheville Mortuary Services of Asheville.
Among Mr. Beebe’s survivors are his parents, Arthur R. and Jane W. Beebe of Fayetteville; and two brothers, Timothy Beebe of Fayetteville and Andrew Beebe of Pope Air Force Base.
Mrs. Elizabeth T. Luther (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
WILMINGTON -- Mrs. Elizabeth Gray Thrower Luther, 74, of Wilmington died Wednesday.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church by the Revs. Samuel D. McMillan Jr. and Tom Greener. Burial with military honors will be in Wilmington National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.
Among Mrs. Luther’s survivors is a son, Harris S. Luther III of Fayetteville.

SOUTHERN PINES -- Louis James Michetti, 65, of 304 McNeill Road died Wednesday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church by Father James Risacher.
Mr. Michetti is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Michetti; a son, Louis J. Michetti Jr. of New York; a daughter, Karen Moyer of Aberdeen; three sisters, Angie Pontillo of Little Falls, N.J., Sophie Bradford of Sebring, Fla., and Nettie Martino of Springfield, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines by the Rev. Peg Witt. Arrangements are being handled by Powell Funeral Home & Crematory of Southern Pines.
Mrs. Israel is survived by two sons, Ed Ormsby of Greensboro and John Ormsby Jr. of Greenville; and two grandchildren.

Richard E. ‘Dick’ Gunn (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
PINEHURST -- Richard E. “Dick” Gunn, 74, of 175 Westchester Circle died Tuesday in Vencor Hospital in Greensboro.

Mr. Gunn is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Gunn of Pinehurst; three sons, Richard J. Gunn of Wilton, Calif., Peter D. Gunn of San Jose, Calif., and Michael J. Gunn of Milpitas, Calif.; a daughter, Mary G. Beatty of San Ramon, Calif.; a sister, Barbara Pressler of Gainesville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

BLADENBORO -- Mrs. Millie M. Singletary, 88, of 19467 N.C. 410 South died Tuesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill AME Zion Church in Whiteville by the Rev. Albert Singletary. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery.
Mrs. Singletary is survived by a daughter, Yvonne S. Williams of Bladenboro; and three sons, Charles Singletary of Summerville and Hayes Singletary and Clarence H. Singletary, both of Bladenboro.

H. Shaw Currie (Dated Friday, Oct. 16, 1998)
LAURINBURG -- H. Shaw Currie, 85, of 20021 Shaw Currie Road died Thursday in Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Currie was a retired farmer. He was also a security guard at J.P. Stevens.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hillside Cemetery by the Rev. Douglass Key. Arrangements are being handled by McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
Mr. Currie is survived by his wife, Emma L. Currie of Laurinburg; two sons, Butch Currie of Laurinburg and Billy Currie of Richmond, Va.; four daughters, Peggy Goodwin of Laurel Hill, Shirley Lett of Laurinburg, Jenny Bates of Charlotte and Nancy Currie of Fitzgerald, Ga.; a sister, Annie Shankle of Raeford; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bratcher is survived by his wife, Betty Bratcher of Raeford; a son, Nathan Herron of Washington, D.C.; his mother, Lula Murchison of Washington, D.C.; his stepfather, James Murchison of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sisters, Dorothy Murchison, Betty Murchison and Gloria Murchison, all of Washington, D.C., and Cynthia McAllister of Raeford; and three brothers, Willie Murchison of Rocky Mount, William Murchison of Washington, D.C., and Charles Cummings of St. Louis.

Mrs. Sheppard is survived by her husband, Earl R. Sheppard of the home; two sons, Duel G. Sheppard and Phillip R. Sheppard, both of Rowland; six sisters, Vada Miller and Eva Canady, both of Veadon, Pa., Geneva Miller of Voorhees, N.J., Doris Hill of Shelbyville, Tenn., Lois Locklear of Springfield, Pa., and Louise D’Antonio of Media, Pa.; five brothers, Edison Ransom and M.C. WALLACE -- Mrs. Bernice Carlton Vann, 56, of 503 W. Craven St. died Sunday in Pender Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Vann is survived by four sons, Mitchell Vann of Kenansville, Douglass M. Vann of Fayetteville and Carlton Vann and Gregory Vann, both of Wallace; two daughters, Debbie Freeman of Chicago and Christy Jackson of Wallace; her mother, Dr. Hattie Carlton of Wallace; a sister, Gwendolyn Carlton of Fayetteville; and two brothers, Demsey Carlton of Kenansville and Laransy D.
