Mrs. Jessie Parsons Bullard, 88, of 1601 Purdue Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Village Green Care Center.

Mrs. Bullard was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Camp Ground United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Danny Allen.

Mrs. Bullard is survived by a brother, Vernon Parsons of Greenville, S.C.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Camp Ground United Methodist Church, 4625 Camp Ground Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28304.

Mrs. Joung H. Patten (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

Mrs. Joung H. Patten, 61, of 5701 Yellowstone Court, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell A. Moore (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

Mrs. Bell Alston Moore, 79, of 111 Byrd St., Fayetteville, died Monday in Columbia Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Moore was a beautician for more than 40 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Cureton Johnson. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Paye Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Judith M. Kelly of Forestville, Md., and Joyce M. Joseph of Inglewood, Calif.; two sisters, Edith Anderson of Louisburg and Josephine McAdoo of Greensboro; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Marion Zimmerman (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

Mrs. Marion P. Zimmerman, 66, of 1743 Martindale Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sarah M. Alligood (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

Mrs. Sarah McFadyen Alligood, 86, of 415 Vista Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Village Green Care Center.

Mrs. Alligood was an office manager for Dr. Dan Curr for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. David M. Chamberlain. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.

Mrs. Alligood is survived by two sons, Paul B. Alligood Jr. of McLean, Va., and Richard Alligood of Fayetteville; a brother, R. Lewis McFadyen of Red Springs; three sisters, Frances McCreery of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Willa Lindsay of Fayetteville and Betty McFadyen of Raeford; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Bonnie L. Little (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

CLARKTON -- Mrs. Bonnie Lou Little, 43, of 504 Booker T. Washington Road died Thursday in her home.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Leonard Royal. Burial will be in Clarkton Community Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

Mrs. Little is survived by her husband, Bobby Little of Waynesboro; a daughter, Sharon Robeson of Houston; a son, Dejohn Robeson of Baldwin, N.Y.; her mother, Luenet McDougal of Houston; her stepmother, Margaret Currie of Aliquippa, Pa.; ten sisters, Pam McDougal and Wendy McDougal, both of Clarkton, Callie McDougal of Montclair, N.J., Vanzella Cooper of St. Pauls, Mozzella Callaway and Donna McDougal, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Rosa Oji and Laura McDougal, both of Houston, Deborah McDougal of Long Beach, N.Y., and Phyllis Wallace of Raeford; and four brothers, Tom McDougal and George McDougal, both of Detroit, Connor McDougal of Long Beach and Zelema Clark of Raeford.

Mrs. Rosa L. Levine (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

FAIR BLUFF -- Mrs. Rosa Lee Levine, 81, of Fair Bluff died Saturday in Britthaven Northchase in Wilmington.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Hickory Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Ervin Harper. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

Mrs. Levine is survived by a daughter, Georgianna McCoy of Fair Bluff; and a brother, Benjamin Brunson of Tallahassee, Fla.

Kenneth J. Barefoot (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

CLINTON -- Kenneth J. Barefoot, 56, of Clinton died Monday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Glad Tidings Church in Dunn by the Rev. Steven King. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Skinner Funeral Home.

Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Barefoot of Clinton; a stepson, Danny M. Gregory Jr. of Dunn; a stepdaughter, Tammy Barrow of Dunn; a brother, Billy R. Barefoot of Newport News, Va.; three sisters, Dorvis Wrench and Clarice Jackson, both of Dunn, and Brenda McLamb of Benson; and five step-grandchildren.

Arthur Reece Jr. (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

SANFORD -- Arthur Reece Jr., 71, of 423 Worthy Road died Monday in Central Carolina Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in San Lee Chapel by the Revs. John Sauls and Michael Boyette. Burial will be in Olivia Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Mr. Reece is survived by his wife, Dorothy T. Reece of Sanford; two sons, Arthur S. Reece III of Gatonton, Ga., and Dennis W. Reece of Sanford; a daughter, Ladonna Honeycutt of Sanford; three brothers, Gulace Reece and Ted Reece, both of Sanford, and Robby Reece of Sumter, S.C.; and two sisters, Ruby Davis of Frederick, Md., and Shirley Page of Broadway.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary D. Davis (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

BLADENBORO -- Mrs. Mary Dove Davis, 95, of 153 Robert Davis Road died Monday in Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. James B. Hardee. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Davis is survived by three sons, Dewey Davis, Paul Davis and Byron Davis, all of Bladenboro; two daughters, LaRue Todd and Mamie Seals, both of Bladenboro; 24 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home.

Ernest R. Neighbours (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

ANGIER -- Ernest Ray Neighbours, 72, of 1842 H. County Line Road died Saturday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday in Hodges Chapel Church cemetery by the Rev. Jerome Pope. Arrangements are being handled by Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home.

Mr. Neighbours is survived by his wife, Betty W. Neighbours of Angier; a stepson, Tracy Ammons of Benson; two daughters, Dianne N. Adams of Sanford and Annie Neighbours of Angier; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the home.

George H. Stewart (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

BLADENBORO -- George Henry Stewart, 73, of 2695 Horseshoe Road died Sunday in Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. James Brooks and Robert Carter. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart is survived by a daughter, Teresa Rodriguez of Clarkton; a son, Roy L. Stewart of Bladenboro; a sister, Shirley Canterbury of Ohio; two brothers, Earl Stewart and Albert Stewart, both of Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Larry C. Rozier (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

LUMBERTON -- Larry Clarence Rozier, 48, of Lumberton died Tuesday.

LUMBERTON -- Thomas Seavy Harden, 78, of 141 Dresden Ave. died Sunday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Newgate Community Church by the Rev. Bobby Phillips. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Mr. Harden is survived by his wife, Corona S. Harden of the home; two sons, Sid Harden of Tampa, Fla., and Phil Harden of Fort Dix, N.J.; a brother, Ervin Harden of Pineville; a sister, Hazel Stalvey of Georgetown, S.C.; and two grandchildren.

RAEFORD -- Wesley Jones, 91, of Raeford died Monday in Open Arms Rest Home.

PEMBROKE -- Ms. Christine Burke, 77, of Chavis Park died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

RAEFORD -- William Bratcher Jr., 45, of 403 Steven St. died Monday.

Ernest Hammonds Jr. (Dated Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998)

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Ernest Hammonds Jr., 40, of 1036 Dutchtown Road Apt. A-3, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Beauty Spot Methodist Church in Rowland, N.C., by the Rev. William Simmons Sr. Burial with military honors will be in Beulah Charge Church cemetery in Hamer, S.C.

Mr. Hammonds is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hammonds of Lawton, Okla.; a brother, C. Eric Hammonds of Germany; and four sisters, Jacquelyn H. Middleton of Batesburg, S.C., Deborah D. Hammonds of Fayetteville, Sherelle P. Simmons of Olatha, Kan., and Rose A. Simmons of Lumberton, N.C.

The public will be received today from 2 to 6 p.m. at H.M. Colvin Funeral Home.
