The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Shiloh Baptist Church in Maxton by the Rev. H.E. Edwards. Burial will be in McLeod Memorial Cemetery in Maxton. Arrangements are being handled by Jackson Funeral Home.
Mr. Wade is survived by two sons, Darryl L. Dunlap of Washington, D.C., and Marcia L. Wade of Winterville; two daughters, Cheryl W. Okieffe of Washington, D.C., and Sabrina Wade of West End; and a stepsister, Johala McNeil of Grey Stone, N.J.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Sarah L. Bryant (Dated Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998)
LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Sarah Louise Bryant, 68, of Laurinburg died Monday in Scotland Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Nashville Missionary Baptist Church in Marston by the Rev. Theodore Hodges. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by two sons, Archie Bryant of Marston and Cleo McNair of Temple Hills, Md.; a brother, James T. McNair of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.

SPRING LAKE -- Retired Army Master Sgt. Howard Jackson Boston, 63, of 405 Samuel Court died Monday in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Carl E. Brinkley Jr. Burial will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Mr. Boston is survived by his wife, Etta Boston of Spring Lake; four daughters, Alice Livingston of Spring Lake, Deborah Adams of Atlanta, Anita Simms of Fayetteville and Pamela Porterfield of Angier; and two sons, Gregory Boston and Larry Boston, both of Germany.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at Spring Lake Community Mortuary chapel.

NEWTON GROVE -- Mrs. Ila P. Usher, 70, of 14765 Hobbton Highway died Wednesday.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Newton Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Usher is survived by her husband, William H. “Bill” Usher; a daughter, Paula U. Darden of Clinton; a son, Patrick L. Usher of Newton Grove; a brother, Lawrence W. Parrish Jr. of Fayetteville; and a grandchild.

CLINTON -- Robert Owen “Jackie” Hill, 59, of 971 Clive Jacobs Road died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hill was a woodworker with Kennedy Wood Products.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Tony Moore. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hill is survived by a son, Tommy L. Hill of Clinton; his mother, Mabel Hill of Clinton; six sisters, Marie Hobbs, Ann Boyette, Bonnie Kellum, Mylinda Faircloth and Lynn Hill, all of Clinton, and Carolyn Buck of Castle Hayne; a brother, Jimmy Hill of Clinton; and two grandchildren.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Janet Marie McNeil Davis, 35, of 65 N. Baucom Ave. died Friday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Samuel Davis of Lumberton; a daughter, LaPortia J. Davis of the home; a son, Samuel D. Davis of the home; her parents, James T. and Nettie S. McNeil; a sister, Sylvia L. McNeil of Lumberton; five brothers, Ricky McNeil and James T. McNeil Jr., both of Wilmington, William T. McNeil of Lumberton, Mitchell D. McNeil of Durham and Gilbert D. McNeil of Philadelphia; and her grandfather, William T. McMillian.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her husband, Louvie I. Hinson Jr. of Whiteville; four daughters, Alice M. McGraw of Mooresville, Sylvia J. Hinson of Chadbourn, Bobbie J. Shinn of Troutman and Susan D. Ganus of Cleveland; two sisters, Ethel Godwin of Tabor City and Daisey L. Godwin of Denver; a brother, John Kersey of Ocean Isle Beach; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lee is survived by four daughters, Pearl Goralski, Martie Ernst, Delores Clarkson and JoAnn L. McCarty, all of Baltimore; four brothers, Lester Ransom of Greensboro, N.C., Luther Ransom of McDonald, N.C., William Ransom of Fairmont, N.C., and Fonice Ransom of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters, Lessie M. Oxendine and Quessie Locklear, both of Fairmont; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

LUMBERTON -- Tom Henry Thurman, 72, of Lot 42 Victoria Estates, formerly of Hallsboro, died Monday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Peoples Funeral Home chapel in Whiteville. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Memorial Park in Hallsboro.
Mr. Thurman is survived by two daughters, Marcia Thurman of Washington, D.C., and Ollie Loving of Upper Marlboro, Md.; four sons, Francis Thurman of Milwaukee, Thomas Thurman Jr. of San Diego, Terry Thurman of Cambridge, Md., and Reginald Thurman of Temple Hills, Md.; and a brother, Ruben Thurman of Hallsboro.

CLINTON -- Ms. Kathleen McArthur, 71, of 1446 Odom Road died Sunday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Ms. McArthur was a waitress and a homemaker.

Ms. McArthur is survived by two sons, P.W. Carter of Florida and Harold Carter of Fayetteville; a daughter, Mary Rymer of Florida; a sister, Rochelle Ester of High Point; and three brothers, Perry McArthur Jr. and Johnny McArthur, both of Clinton, and Samuel McArthur of Huntington, W. Va.

Miss Covington is survived by two daughters, Sheila C. Murray and Sharon Covington, both of Benson; five sisters, Sarah McDougald of Erwin, Myrtle R. Holmes of Virginia Beach, Va., Dorothy McDougald and Ann C. Holiday, both of Garner, and Geraldine Stewart of Dunn; and four grandchildren.

BOSTON -- Albert Pittman, 59, of Boston, formerly of Fairmont, N.C., died Thursday in Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Pittman of the home; a daughter, Tonya Pittman of Boston; four sons, Michael Pittman, Lonnie O. Pittman and Charles Pittman, all of Boston, and Anthony Vauthan of Baltimore; two sisters, Josephine Pittman of Lumberton, N.C., and Drucellia Melvin of Orrum, N.C.; three brothers, Labon Pittman of Baltimore and Tony Pittman and Mark Pittman, both of Fairmont; and 10 grandchildren.

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Mrs. Kathleen Gray Beasley McClelland, 85, of Melbourne, formerly of Whiteville, N.C., died Saturday.
Mrs. McClelland was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mill Creek Christian Church in Four Oaks, N.C. Burial will be in the Beasley family cemetery in Four Oaks.
Mrs. McClelland is survived by a son, Clifton A. McClelland Jr. of Melbourne; a daughter, Jane B. McClelland of Lake City; three sisters, Pauline Davis and Carrie L. Shaw, both of Bentonville, N.C., and Mary A. Chapin of Washington, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Underwood Funeral Home in Smithfield, N.C.

Mrs. Morell was a member of Northwood Temple.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Main Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg by the Rev. John Hedgepeth. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morell is survived by two daughters, Pinkie Lee of Fayetteville and Sandra J. Ray of Mocksville; a son, Gorden Blithe of Seattle; two sisters, Bonnie L. Litka and Ileane Okrie, both of Fayetteville; and 10 grandchildren.
