Noah A. Todd (Dated Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998)

DELWAY -- Noah Allen Todd, 75, of Delway died Monday.

Mr. Todd was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He worked for Ezzell Enterprize & Trucking Co. for 41 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Baptist Church in Rose Hill by the Revs. Kevin Purcell, Michael Shook and Allen Overton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, Louise A. Todd; three sons, James Todd of Todd, Jerry Todd of Delway and Billy Todd of Clinton; three sisters, Helen T. Mullen of West Jefferson, Louise T. Murkley of Miami and Wanda T. Kenan of Sneads Ferry; a half brother, Roy Todd of Tampa, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church memorial fund, 41 Delway Highway, Rose Hill, N.C. 28458.

Dennis E. Blue (Dated Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998)

HOFFMAN -- Dennis Earl Blue, 29, of 229 Hailey Ames St. died Sunday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. Mingo McRae. Burial will be in the Blue family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Morris Funeral Home.

Mr. Blue is survived by his parents, Cleora and Floyd Blue of Hoffman; four sisters, Mary Knight, Olivia Blue and Eleisa “Lisa” Blue, all of Hoffman, and Fora Stroman of Southern Pines; and five brothers, David Blue of Southern Pines and Marshall Blue, Roy Blue, Willie Blue and Ricky Blue, all of Hoffman.

Ms. Geraldine C. Malpass (Dated Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998)

BAYTOWN, Texas -- Ms. Geraldine C. Malpass, 92, of Baytown, formerly of Whiteville, N.C., died Friday.

Ms. Malpass was a member of First Baptist Church of Whiteville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Lee Webb. Arrangements are being handled by McKenzie Mortuary.

Ms. Malpass is survived by a sister, Leona Eure of Whiteville.

Mrs. Mozelle S. Hayes (Dated Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998)

CLINTON -- Mrs. Mozelle S. Hayes, 78, of Mary Gran Nursing Center, formerly of Spivey’s Corner, died Sunday in Mary Gran Nursing Center.

Mrs. Hayes was a member of Dunn Advent Christian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dunn Advent Christian Church in Dunn by the Revs. Michael Whitley and Jessie Fulcher. Burial will be in Robert’s Grove Church cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by a son, James L. Hayes of Spivey’s Corner; a brother, Euland Sinclair of Clinton; a half brother, Harold D. Sinclair of Four Oaks; five half sisters, Lillie M. Tart and Linda F. Bullock, both of Fayettville, Helen Hairr and Rachel Bullock, both of Clinton, and Clara West of Dunn; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove.

Robert G. Cimaglia (Dated Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998)

Robert Graham Cimaglia, 39, of 896 Old Buie Road, Fayetteville, died Monday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Cimaglia was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church. He was a screen print manager at M.J. Soffee Co. for 15 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Campground United Methodist Church by Dr. J. Ernest Johnson and the Rev. Bob Snyder. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Cimaglia is survived by a son, Anthony R. Cimaglia of Fayetteville; his parents, Anthony M. and Ann G. Cimaglia of Fayetteville; ; a sister, Ashley A. Cimaglia of Fayetteville; Carol Thompson and a son, Billy R. Register.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the heart center at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, or to Campground United Methodist Church, 4625 Campground Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28304.

John H. Armstrong (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

John Henry Armstrong, 76, of 3917 James Dial Road, Fayetteville, died Friday in Len-Care Nursing Center in Elizabethtown.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Snow Hill Disciples of Christ Church in Wade by elder Levertt Mitchell. Burial will be in Holiness Chapel Church cemetery in Wade.

Mr. Armstrong is survived by a daughter, Thyra Johnson of Washington, D.C.; a son, Johnnie Armstrong of Dunn; three sisters, Willie M. Wiggs, Florene Godwin and Aretta Evans, all of Fayetteville; and seven grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 2 to 8 at Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.

Bobby Elliott (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

Bobby Elliott, 55, of 110 Mary St., Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Bulter & Son Funeral Home of Roseboro.

Mrs. Ila P. Jackson (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

Mrs. Ila Page Jackson, 89, of 119 Pinecrest Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Len-Care Nursing Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Hunter E. Barefoot (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

ROSEBORO -- Hunter E. Barefoot, 74, of Roseboro died Saturday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Hickory Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Armstrong. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Skinner Funeral Home.

Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Willadean Barefoot of Roseboro; a son, Terry Barefoot of Cary; a daughter, Kay B. Whitfield of Duck; his stepmother, Victoria Barefoot of Clinton; two brothers, Lloyd Barefoot of Stedman and Ray Barefoot of Roseboro; two sisters, Violet Williford of Dunn and Louise Stevenson of Houston; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Arthur L. Griffin (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

SPRING LAKE -- Arthur Lawrence Griffin, 59, of 110 Haire St. died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Arrangements will be announced by Adcock Funeral Home.

Victor Fedorov (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Victor Fedorov, 68, of 2614 Keats Place, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center Memorial Chapel by Chaplain John W. Summers. Arrangements are being handled by Reeves Funeral Home of Hope Mills.

Mr. Fedorov is survived by his wife, Connie Fedorov; two sisters, Barbara Jennings of Red Bank, N.J., and Jean Franz of Beloit, Wis.; and a brother, Arthur Keller of Texas.

Richard C. Wesche (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

SOUTHERN PINES -- Richard Charles Wesche of 200 Safford Drive died Saturday in his home.

Arrangements will be announced by Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.

Will J. Callahan (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

GIBSON -- Will Junior Callahan, 75, of 6181 Rockdale Ave. died Friday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Mount Elim Baptist Church in Antioch by the Revs. Wayne Hodges, Harry Buckney and Donald Chavis. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Butler Funeral Service of Laurinburg.

Mr. Callahan is survived by two sons, William J. “Billy” Callahan of Moultrie, Ga., and Russell Locklear of Red Springs; a daughter, Jeanette Buckner of Madison; a brother, James D. Callahan of Fredericksburg, Va.; five sisters, Catherine Chavis of Wakula, Mary Mahon and Sarah Beichler, both of Richmond, Va., Sally A. Reynold of Laurel, Miss., and Veordora Locklear of Greensboro; and 10 grandchildren.

Larry Odom (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

Larry Odom of 1402 Cade Hill Road, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Margret McKinney of 400 Pelt Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Fayetteville Health Center.

Lewis Edward Timmons, 59, of 6344 Ginger Circle, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Berry Maurice “Reeso” McClinton, 28, of Fayetteville died Thursday in Wake Memorial Hospital in Raleigh.

Jack D. Nye (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

LUMBERTON -- Jack Daniel Nye, 77, of McMillan Avenue died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Nye was a member of First Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Jack Nye’s TV Service Center. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Meadowbrook Cemetery by the Revs. William P. Tuck and Joe K. Bounds.

Mr. Nye is survived by his wife, Mary S. Nye of the home; and a sister, Frances Coleman of Fairmont.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Biggs Funeral Home, and at other times at 2505 McMillan Ave., Lumberton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 938, Lumberton, N.C. 28359, or to the American Heart Association, N.C. Affiliate, P.O. Box 4390, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27515-4390.

Chalmers Locklear (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

PEMBROKE -- Chalmers “Candy” Locklear, 81, of Pemberton Place Nursing Center died Saturday.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Revels Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Jake Mitchell and Chalmers Kerns. Burial will be in the Locklear family cemetery.

Mr. Locklear is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Sanderson of Rowland and Liza Smiling of Maxton; a son, Louis Dial of Pembroke; a sister, Annie R. Locklear of Maxton; three brothers, David Locklear of Fairmont and Vernon Locklear and Will Locklear, both of Maxton; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Revels Funeral Home.

Dwain K. Smith (Dated Monday, Nov. 16, 1998)

Dwain Keith Smith, 45, of 910 Chesnut St., Fayetteville, died Sunday in his home.
