Herbert E. Folger Jr. (Dated Wednesday, June 24, 1998)
Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Herbert E. Folger Jr. of 507 Anson Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday.
Mr. Folger retired from M.J. Soffe.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake by Chaplain Michael Honor.
Mr. Folger is survived by his wife, Phyllis N. Folger; a son, David Folger of Tiverton, R.I.; three daughters, Michele Johns of Fayetteville, Jo Anne Folger of Burbank, Calif. and Kathleen Folger of Ann Arbor, Mich.; his mother, Alice Folger of Fall River, Mass.; a sister, Beverly Mederios of Fall River; and two grandsons.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.

RED SPRINGS -- Steven Ross Jacobs, 24, of 128 S. Hoke St. died Sunday.
The funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday in South Hoke Baptist Church by the Revs. Tony Hunt and Billy Clark. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Deloris A. Jacobs of the home; three daughters, Kayla Jacobs and Taylor Jacobs, both of the home, and Brooke A. Jacobs of Red Springs; his parents, the Rev. Willie R. Jacobs and Ivene Jacobs of Red Springs; two brothers, Clint Jacobs and Patrick Jacobs, both of Red Springs; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Goins of Red Springs; and his paternal grandparents, Harvey and Mazinnie Jacobs of Raeford.
The family will receive friends tonight beginning at 7 p.m. at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Pembroke.
Mrs. Lucille R. Luck (Dated Wednesday, June 24, 1998)
PINEHURST -- Mrs. Lucille Ritter Luck, 74, of Pinehurst died Tuesday in Manor Care Nursing Center.
Mrs. Luck was a retired textile worker.

Mrs. Luck is survived by three sons, Bobby Luck of Aberdeen, Marvin Luck of Candor and Johnny Luck of Eagle Springs; a daughter, Edna Southard of Candor; a brother, Neil Ritter of Florence, S.C.; five sisters, Hazel King of Ellerbe, Gwen Lamonds and Cathryn Luck, both of Candor, and Shirley Hale and Ethel Ritter, both of Florence; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

I.P. Sealey Jr. (Dated Wednesday, June 24, 1998)
LUMBERTON -- I.P. Sealey Jr., 68, of Lumberton died Monday in his home.
Mr. Sealey was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a former accountant with V & CS Railroad and a former owner of I.P. Sealey School of Dance and Antiques Limited. He was also a member of Downtown Lumberton Association.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Biggs Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. John D. Cave. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Mr. Sealey is survived by two brothers, Paul R. Sealey of Florence, S.C., and John F. Sealey of Lumberton; and five sisters, Jackie S. Musselwhite and Betty S. Stone, both of Lumberton, Lillian S. Johnson of Raleigh, Vidalia S. Hall of Fayetteville and Helen S. Hales of Bladenboro.

SOUTHERN PINES -- Mrs. Sheila Cremins dePasquale, 95, of Southern Pines died Tuesday in St. Joseph of the Pines Health Facilities.
Mrs. dePasquale helped operate Little River Farm.
A mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, N.Y.
Mrs. dePasquale is survived by three sons, Adrian dePasquale of Southern Pines, Eugene dePasquale of Montauk, N.Y., and James dePasquale of Oceanside, N.Y.; two daughters, Sheila McKibbin of Honolulu and Joan Brown of Warrington, Pa.; a brother, Robert Cremins of Pelham, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines by Father James Butler. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Mrs. McGrath is survived by her husband, Retired Navy Lt. Cmdr. C. Thomas McGrath; four sons, Patrick McGrath of Daytona Beach, Fla., Maj. James McGrath of Jacksonville, Lt. Thomas McGrath of Maine and Joseph McGrath of Foxfire Village; a sister, Elizabeth Mendenhall of Edina, Minn.; two brothers, Dwight Mendenhall of Madison, Wis. and Donald Mendenhall of Minnetonka, Minn.; and a half-brother, Ray DeBerry of California.

Mr. McEachin was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.

Mr. McEachin is survived by a daughter, Tandarae’ L. McEachin of Charlotte; his mother, Joan M. McEachin of the home; a sister, Janet M. Calvin of Lumberton; and two brothers, Maurice McEachin of the home and John T. McEachin of Lumberton.

PEMBROKE -- Mrs. Hildeth Chavis “Miss Bloss” Cummings, 81, of 88 Foy Road died Monday in her home.

Michael Cummings of Lumberton, Henderson Cummings of Kansas City, Mo., Timothy Cummings of Las Vegas and Robert Cummings of Warner Robins, Ga.; five daughters, Carolyn Daniel of Pembroke, Amelia Taft of Las Vegas, Louise Maynor of Durham, Sally Locklear of Maxton and Eunice Chavis of the home; two sisters, Esther Chavis of Pemberton Place Nursing Home and Effie J. “Dib” Carter of Lumberton; 40 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hathaway is survived by a sister, Pandora Smith of Asheville.

Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Brenda F. Gregory of the home; a son Thomas Gregory, of Wickenberg, Ariz.; three daughters, Bobbie A. Horton and Jennifer Wallace, both of Concord, and Robbin St. John, of Asheboro; a brother, Ronnie P. Gregory of Concord; and 10 grandchildren.
