HOPE MILLS -- George Madison White Jr., 75, of 5489 Landview Place died Saturday in his home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Md. Local arrangements are being handled by Cunningham & Sons Mortuary of Fayetteville.

Mr. White is survived by a son, James H. White Sr.; a daughter, Charlotte Schaffer; his father, George M. White Sr.; his mother, Mevie Griffin; a sister, Dorothy Purdy; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cader C. Terrell

Retired Army Col. Cader C. Terrell, 80, of 2306 Vandemere Ave., Fayetteville, died Thursday in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.

CLINTON -- Mrs. Margaret Faison Greco, 88, of 120 Southwood Drive died Tuesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Willie Bowden. Burial will be in Sandhills Cemetery.

Mrs. Greco is survived by a sister, Shirley Smith of Clinton.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Lois T. Ennis

FOUR OAKS -- Ms. Lois Tart Ennis, 76, of 1015 Hannah Creek Road died Thursday.

Ms. Ennis was a member of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church by the Revs. Doug Able and Mike Whitley.

Ms. Ennis is survived by three daughters, Edna Sutton of Newton Grove and Edith Parker and Bonnie Dunn, both of Four Oaks; three sons, Roy Tart and Keith Tart, both of Four Oaks, and Roger Tart of Angier; a sister, Ferrell Browning of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lena S. Mason

SANFORD -- Mrs. Lena Tutor Cotten Strickland Mason, 74, of 2219 Lee Ave. died Wednesday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jonesboro Presbyterian Church by Keith Miller. Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband, Charles B. Mason; a son, Rudolph Cotten of Moncure; a stepson, Tony Mason of Grand Bay, Ala.; a daughter, Peggy J. Barbour of Sanford; a brother, William S. Tutor of Gordonsville, Va.; three sisters, Mattie Avery of Lexington, Mary Bender of Winston-Salem and Martha Autry of Dunn; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Jonesboro Presbyterian Church building fund, 2200 Woodland Ave., Sanford, N.C. 27330.

Conrad B. Lee

Conrad Barton Lee, 78, of 5207 Birch Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Mr. Lee was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Creasy Proctor Masonic Lodge and the Sudan Temple.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel by Dr. Bruce Martin.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Mildred J. Lee of the home; two daughters, Sheila R. Lee of Raleigh and Phyllis L. Black of Fayetteville; a son, Robert E. Lee of Linden; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or to Oxford Orphanage.

Mrs. Gokanile Bullard

PEMBROKE -- Mrs. Gokanile Bullard, 59, of 4423 Evergreen Church Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Holiness Church by the Revs. Kip Woods and Jimmy Strickland. Burial will be in the Bullard family cemetery.

Mrs. Bullard is survived by her husband, Leonard Bullard of the home; two daughters, Lenora Bullard of the home and Genner M. Jacobs of Pembroke; three sons, Johnnie E. Bullard of Lumberton, and Leonard J. Bullard and Nathan Bullard, both of Pembroke; four brothers, Everett B. Oxendine of St. Claire Shores, Mich., James G. Oxendine and Moses Oxendine Jr., both of Pembroke, and Lawton Oxendine of Milwaukee; four sisters, Ila O. Jones of Whittier, Calif., Blanche O. Jones and Evelyn Manor, both of Pembroke, and Juliet Brayboy of Maxton; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.

RED SPRINGS -- Miss Abagail Locklear, 3, of 1318 Opal Road died Wednesday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Red Springs Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Locklear family cemetery.

Abagail is survived by Gregg and Linda Locklear of Red Springs, who raised her; her mother, Susan A. Locklear of Red Springs; and a sister, Shiane Locklear of Lumberton.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Ms. Flora F. Warlick

WHITEVILLE -- Ms. Flora Frances Warlick, 57, of Whiteville died Wednesday in Columbus County Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church by Dr. Roger Gilbert. Burial will be in Columbus Memorial Park.

Ms. Warlick is survived by a sister, Anne W. Thorn of Champaign, Ill.; and a brother, James G. Warlick II of Whiteville.

William P. Glaser

SANFORD --William Peter Glaser, 66, of Sanford died Wednesday in Central Carolina Hospital.

Mr. Glaser was a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Price Waterhouse for 19 years.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Buffalo Cemetery by Father Ken Parker. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.

Mr. Glaser is survived by his wife, Sue H. Glaser of Sanford; two daughters, Michele G. Dye of Jamestown and Sally G. Schamahh of Sanford; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.

Ms. Geraldine Mariniello

(Dated Friday, April 30, 1999)
BENSON -- Ms. Geraldine Tripp Mariniello, 67, of 230 Kinsey Road died Wednesday in her home.

Ms. Mariniello was the manager of Pic’N Pay Shoes Inc. in Fayetteville before retiring.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Billy Norris. Burial will be in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery.

Ms. Mariniello is survived by a daughter, Vickie A. Mariniello of Fayetteville; her mother, Vira H. Holley of Benson; and two grandchildren.

Leland F. Todd

RAEFORD -- Leland F. Todd, 90, of 272 Bostic Road died Thursday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Revs. Pat Wood, Robinson and Van Floyd. Burial will be in Shirland, Ill. Arrangements are being handled by Reeves Funeral Home of Hope Mills.

Mr. Todd is survived by three daughters, Norma Weerda of Winnebago, Ill., Sandra Bullock of Parkton and Ethel E. Kepner of Longwood, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Sandra and Laurence Bullock, 124 Everett Road, Parkton.

Harvey Wearins

SHANNON -- Harvey Wearins, 77, of 695 Wagon Wheel Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Zion Hill Baptist Church by the Revs. Anthony Oxendine and Milton Hall. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Red Springs Funeral Home.

Mr. Wearins is survived by his wife, Etta B. Wearins of Shannon; five sons, Charles L. Wearins of Port Richey, Fla., Roger W. Wearins of Shannon, Michael H. Wearins of Pembroke, Miles A. Wearins of Lumber Bridge and Richard A. Wearins of Hope Mills; a daughter, Jennifer Wearins of Shannon; a sister, Martha Lowery of Barton, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the church.

James R. Duncan

WHITEVILLE -- James Ray Duncan, 59, of Whiteville died Wednesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mr. Duncan was an accountant. He was a member of Whiteville United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Whiteville United Methodist Church by the Revs. Berry Barbour and Janine Youngstrom. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife, Dixie W. Duncan of the home; two sons, Phillip R. Duncan of Charlotte and John B. Duncan II of Whiteville; a foster daughter, Cathy Cartrette of Whiteville; his mother, Ethel R. Duncan of Tabor City; two sisters, Linda D. Carter of Tabor City and Carolyn D. Pierce of Whiteville; a brother, Earl Duncan of Whiteville; and two foster grandchildren.
