Mr. Arnott is survived by his wife, Martha L. Arnott of Pinehurst; two sons, Robert D. Arnott of Coral Springs, Fla., and Douglas G. Arnott of Vesta, N.Y.; a daughter, Nancy Arnott of Hillsborough; a brother, John Arnott of Syracuse, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

OXON HILL, Md. -- Paul T. Hobgood Sr., 74, of 5507 Helmont Drive died Friday in Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, N.C., by Father Trent Watts. Arrangements are being handled by Rose & Graham Funeral Home of Benson.
Among Mr. Hobgood’s survivors is a sister, Myrtle Roebuck of Dunn, N.C.

ROSE HILL -- Razzie R. ‘‘Little Sam’’ Balkcum, 72, of 823 Balkcum Road died Saturday in his home.
Mr. Balkcum was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Garland Shirt Factory before retiring.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Benjamin E. Horton. Burial will be in the Balkcum family cemetery.
Mr. Balkcum is survived by his wife, Rossie C. Balkcum; and two sisters, Magaline Balkcum of Clinton and Georgia B. Tew of Garland.

Paul B. Wood, 89, of 967 Angus St., Fayetteville, died Saturday in Village Green Care Center.
Mr. Wood owned and operated P and L Pool Room and Grill for 25 years. He operated Sandrock and Kornbow airstrips, where he instructed pilots. Mr. Wood was a member of Vaughn Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Robert E. Pollock. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Lois S. Wood of Fayetteville; a son, Joseph A.
