DUNN -- Samuel R. Miriello, 76, of Dunn died Saturday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Mr. Miriello was a trustee at Central Carolina Community College.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Fathers Trent Watts and Kevin Fahey. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Miriello is survived by his wife, Ruth O. Miriello of Dunn; three sons, Joe Miriello of Dunn, Ron Miriello of Sanford and Tom Miriello of Fayetteville; two sisters, Theresa M. Monney of Edison, N.J., and Josephine M. Todor of Mount Carmel, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Skinner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Sam Miriello Scholarship Fund, Central Carolina Community College, 1105 Kelly Drive, Sanford, N.C. 27330.
Mrs. Annie M. McLean

Mrs. Annie M. McLean, 81, of 3713 Turner Road, Fayetteville, died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Willie Creek AME Zion Church by the Rev. Keith Newsome. Burial will be in Rockfish Memorial Park.
Mrs. McLean is survived by four daughters, Helen Green of San Diego and Bessie McLean, Annie Anderson and Glenda Worley, all of Fayetteville; a son, William McLean of Fayetteville; a sister, Lear Freeman of Fayetteville; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.
The family will receive friends at the home.

Ms. Juliet S. Huggins

LUMBERTON -- Ms. Juliet Sellers Huggins, 90, of Woodhaven Nursing Center died Sunday.
Ms. Huggins was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Red Springs.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church in Red Springs by the Rev. Joann Oulton. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs. Arrangements are being handled by Crumpler Funeral Home of Red Springs.
Ms. Huggins is survived by two daughters, Miram H. Elliott of Newport News, Va., and Mildred H. Mercer of Shannon; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mildred Mercer, 11470 Shannon Road, Shannon.

Ms. Evelyn H. Pritchard

Ms. Evelyn Helms Pritchard, 70, of 629 N. Reilly Road, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg.
Ms. Pritchard was a charter member of LaGrange Park Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in LaGrange Park Baptist Church by the Rev. David George and David Rimel. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Pritchard is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Bobenmoyer of Fayetteville; a son, Thomas Pritchard of Fayetteville; three sisters, Marie Anglin of Donaldsonville, Ga., Ruby Jackson of Iron City, Ga., and Yvette Reeder of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Billy Helms of Sumter, S.C., and Bobby Helms of Daleville, Ala.; and a granddaughter.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

William S. Hinton

Retired Army Col. William S. ‘‘Peanut’’ Hinton, 75, of 3323 Quarry Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Hinton served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Among his awards, he received the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, the Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster and two Bronze Stars. He was the former president of the Fayetteville Symphony Association, the Cape Fear Chapter of the Retired Officer’s Association and was a member of the board of directors of the Fort Bragg Credit Union. He was a Mason and Shriner. Mr. Hinton was a member of Haymount United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Haymount United Methodist Church by the Revs. Bill Braswell and Robert Poulk. Burial with military honors will be in the Main Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg.
Mr. Hinton is survived by a son, Maj. Gen. William S. Hinton Jr. of Rafmildenhall, England; a sister, Barbara H. Finch of Bailey; and a grandson.

RAEFORD -- John Malcom ‘‘Dunk’’ Nelson, 64, of 2925 Aberdeen Road died Saturday in Veterans Affairs Hospital in Durham.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Lula S. Nelson of Raeford; two sons, William A. Nelson and Joseph N. Nelson, both of Raeford; two daughters, Penny N. Killough of Hamlet and Mary V. Nelson of Raeford; two sisters, Hazel N. Lawrence of Fayetteville and Jewel N. Mayfield of Canton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Thompson was a supervisor with Waverly Mills in Laurinburg.
