Arrangements will be announced by Dafford Funeral Home.

Clyde A. Beringer

Clyde Anthony Beringer, 71, of 2009 Morganton Road, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in LaFayette Memorial Park by the Rev. T.J. Fulk.

Mr. Beringer is survived by his wife, Catherine Beringer of Fayetteville; a daughter, Renee Beringer of Conover; a son, Kirk Beringer of Orange Park, Fla.; and a sister, Lois Eales of Hemet, Calif.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Friends of the Cancer Center, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, P.O. Box 2000, Fayetteville, N.C. 28302; or to the Boys & Girls Home of North Carolina, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, N.C. 28450.

Barry L. Worley

FAIRMONT -- Barry L. Worley, 40, of 608 Phillip St. died Monday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Mr. Worley is survived by his mother, Eula Worley of Benson; his father, Albert Worley of Fairmont; a brother, Brian Worley of the home; and his grandparents, Frank and Decie Worley of Fairmont.

The public will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home.

Mrs. Danielle Winstead

SPRING LAKE -- Mrs. Danielle Rambeaut Winstead, 24, of 14 Crest Circle died Tuesday in her home.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Adcock Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Bobby Murray. Burial will be in Rambeaut Hill Cemetery in Harnett County.

Mrs. Winstead is survived by a son, Spencer K. Winstead of Spring Lake; her mother and stepfather, Charlene C. and Frederick C. Favreau of Linden; her father and stepmother, Danny M. and Sheri Rambeaut of Spring Lake; three brothers, Kevin Rambeaut and Christopher Burke, both of Spring Lake, and Jamie F. Favreau of Fort Stewart, Ga.; two sisters, Jessica Burke of Spring Lake and Michelle Curran of Barre, Mass.; her maternal grandparents, Herbert and Mona Clark of Rochester, N.H.; her paternal grandparents, Milton and Mavene Rambeaut of Spring Lake; and her paternal great-grandmother, Ila Rambeaut of Spring Lake.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Clyde E. Taylor Sr.

Clyde E. Taylor Sr., 68, of 924 Miller Ave., Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Taylor worked for Carolina Telephone for 41 years before retiring.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. James Parks and James Scales. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Frances L. Taylor of the home; four sons, Clyde S. Taylor Jr. of Fayetteville, Mark J. Taylor of Autryville, Arnold Smith of Green Springs, Tenn., and Joseph Smith of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Donna Horwitz of Orlando; three brothers, James Taylor of Salisbury, Md., Richard Taylor of Baltimore and Odell Fischer of Fayetteville; a sister, Vera Mays of Lynchburg, Va.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carolyn Shepard

Mrs. Carolyn Shepard, 56, of Fox Grove Circle, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Fayetteville Health Care.

Arrangements will be announced by Wiseman Mortuary.

CHADBOURN -- Elder B. F. Shaw, 80, of 1671 Tommy Wooten Road died Sunday in Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Zion Wall Free Will Baptist Church by Bishop Bobby Vereen. Burial will be in Belview Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Macie Shaw; four sons, Kenneth Shaw of Washington, D.C., Donald R. Shaw of Manhattan, N.Y., Robert Shaw of Wilmington and Bennie Shaw of Atlanta; five daughters, Betty Hill of Birmingham, Ala., Jannie Shaw and Mylene Griffin, both of Augusta, Ga., Wannetta Rankins of Middletown, Conn., and Geraldine Brown of Durham; a brother, J. H. Shaw of Chadbourn; and 17 grandchildren.

Alice Leonard

Miss Alice Leonard of 512 Scarborough St., Fayetteville, died Monday in Village Green Nursing Center. She was 100.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Evans Metropolitan AME Zion Church by Dr. Lawrence A. Miller. Burial will be in Rockfish Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home of Clinton.

Miss Leonard is survived by a niece.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

John D. Robinson

ROSE HILL -- John D. Robinson, 87, of 340 Herring Road died Wednesday in his home.

Arrangements will be announced by Summerville-Boykin Mortuary of Garland.

C. Harold Pigott

C. Harold Pigott, 82, of 123 John St., Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Pigott was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He worked for PWC for 18 years before retiring. Mr. Pigott was science teacher. He was also principal of Gray’s Creek and Rockfish schools.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Bob Poulk. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.

Mr. Pigott is survived by his wife, Marie J. Pigott of Fayetteville; a son, Jim H. Pigott of Fayetteville; a daughter, Margaret P. Goad of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haymount United Methodist Church, 1700 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28303.

Ms. Ludy M. Pate

ST. PAULS -- Ms. Ludy M. Pate, 86, of 321 Clark St. died Tuesday.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church by the Rev. William Scott. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery.

Ms. Pate is survived by two sons, Bobby Pate of St. Pauls and Joseph Pate of Rowland; a daughter, Peggy Cain of Largo, Fla.; four sisters, Zula Pate of Lumberton and Pansy Pryor, Shirley Byrd and Hedy Vahly, all of Charlotte; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Saint Pauls Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Elaine S. Moore

DUNN -- Mrs. Elaine Stewart Moore, 50, of 309 Weeks Road died Tuesday in Wilson Memorial Hospital in Wilson.

Mrs. Moore was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Holinesss Church. She was a homemaker and worked for Carolina Telephone.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Revs. Hill Teachy Jr., Sherrill Pope and Johnny West. Burial will be in Hodges Chapel Church cemetery.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, William R. ‘‘Bill’’ Moore, a son, Russell Moore of Dunn; her mother, Geraldine U. Stewart; and a sister, Janice Lambert of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

Mrs. Bertha S. Mincey

Mrs. Bertha Smith Mincey, 96, of 248 Livermore Drive, Fayetteville, died Monday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in St. James United Holy Church by the Rev. Lloyd Butler. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.

Mrs. Mincey is survived by a son, Ervin Hall of Trenton, N.J.; two sisters, Isabelle Smith of Fayetteville and Viola Smith of Connecticut; and 11 grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethany Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Maultsby & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Leach is survived by his wife, Laura M. Smith of Baltimore; three sons, Sonny Leach, Steve Leach and Cookie Leach, all of Baltimore; a daughter, Shonette Yvette of Lumberton; five brothers, Charles Leach of Durham, Earnest Leach Jr. of Silver Springs, Md., Tommy M. Leach of High Point, Donald G. Leach of Lumberton and Walter F. Leach of Hickory; a sister, Brenda L. Simmons of Columbia, S.C.; and 13 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Donald Leach, 710 E. 11th St., Lumberton.
