RAEFORD -- Davon LaShon Kershaw, infant son of Cheryl Kershaw, of 507 W. Fifth Ave. died Friday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today in Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Buie Funeral Home.
In addition to his mother, Davon is survived by his maternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Hattie L. Kershaw of Raeford.
Timothy W. Byrd

LUMBERTON -- Timothy Wallace Byrd, 30, of 1567 Norment Road died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Floyd Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Gerald Wilson. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Mr. Byrd is survived by his parents, Gene and Fodie H. Byrd of Lumberton; two brothers, Kenneth Byrd of Southport and Tommy J. Byrd of Pinehurst; five sisters, Peggy L. Spencer of Richmond, Ky., Janet L. Townsend of Fairmont and Ella S. Hicks, Mary J. Bruce and Tana M. Byrd, all of Lumberton; and his maternal grandmother, Hulda Herring of Sumter, S.C.

RIDGEWAY, Minn. -- Daniel Charles Pries, 3-year-old son of the Rev. David and Betty Pries, of Ridgeway, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Saturday in his home.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. O.H. Lindholm. Burial will be in Bush Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Martin-Myhre Funeral Home of Winona.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth and Sarah; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Kay Pries of Saginaw, Mich.; his maternal grandparents, Harlan and Joan Goens of Clear Lake, S.D.; and his great-grandfather, Michael Lapprich of Lake, Michigan.

ST. PAULS -- Mrs. Sallie Pate Evans, 88, of 908 N. Old Stage Road died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
Mrs. Evans was a school teacher before retiring.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Pauls Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ben Burrow and David Ruth. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans is survived by two sons, Billy M. Evans of Charleston, S.C., and Robert ‘‘Bobby’’ Evans of St. Pauls; three sisters, Annie M. Pemberton of Greensboro, Louise Phillips of St. Pauls and Frances Geddie of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren.

SEVEN LAKES -- H.T. ‘‘Terry’’ Williams Jr., 63, of Primrose Circle died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Williams was a Navy veteran. He was the former owner of The Little Burger near Carthage.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Bible Church in Carthage by the Rev. William J. Maness Jr. Arrangements are being handled by Fry-Prickett Funeral Home of Carthage.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Bernice D. Williams; six daughters, Teri J. Blue of Robbins, Kathy Wilson of Fort Hood, Texas, Evelyn Clark of Raeford, Marsha Vogel of Fort Campbell, Ky., Tammy Johnson of Greensboro and Pamela Presley of Carthage; two sons, Herbert T. Williams Jr. of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Patrick C. Williams of Seven Lakes; his mother, Alva W. Brown of Atlanta; two sisters, Jeanine Pevey of Atlanta and Patricia Ruff of Savannah, Ga.; three brothers, the Rev. Max Williams of Carthage, Kirk Williams of Bloomington, Ill., and Charles Brown of Atlanta; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Lowell H. Carter

DELTONA, Fla. -- Lowell Henry Carter, 76, of 683 Hartley Ave., formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Saturday in his home.
Mr. Carter worked for the civil service for 33 years before retiring. He was an Air Force veteran.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. Burial with military honors will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Mr. Carter is survived by three daughters, Mary L. Berry of Deltona, Joanne T. Watts of Fayetteville and Patricia K. O’Riordan of Arlington, Mass.; two sons, Col. William L. Carter of Oklahoma City and James R. Carter of Goldsboro, N.C.; a sister, Norma Seymore of Calhoun, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
