Mrs. Eupha M. Woodall (Dated Wednesday, July 21, 1999)
WHITEVILLE -- Mrs. Eupha Miller Woodall, 89, of 653 Wildwood Road died Tuesday in her home.
Mrs. Woodall was a nurse at Columbus County Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville by the Rev. Paul D. Woodall Jr. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are being handled by McKenzie Mortuary.
Mrs. Woodall is survived by two daughters, Patricia S. Woodall of Everson, Wash., and Catherine Woodall of Raleigh; two sons, Paul D. Woodall Jr. of Whiteville and William H. Woodall of Wilmington; a sister, Estamae Johnson of Chapel Hill; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church memorial fund, 511 N. Thompson St., Whiteville, N.C.
Frank Powell (Dated Wednesday, July 21, 1999)
CHADBOURN -- Frank Powell, 77, of 272 Enterprise St. died Monday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Peoples Funeral Home chapel in Whiteville by Bishop Larry Williamson. Burial will be in Belvue Cemetery.
Mr. Powell is survived by two daughters, Anita Powell and Vickey Rorie, both of Chadbourn; two sons, Steve L. Powell of Agawam, Mass., and Frank Powell Jr. of Durham; and a brother, Steve Currie Jr. of Orlando, Fla.
King Abram Jr. (Dated Wednesday, July 21, 1999)
RALEIGH -- King Abram Jr., 55, of Raleigh, formerly of Red Springs, died Sunday.

DUNN -- John Junne Barefoot, 77, of Countryside Villa died Monday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home by the Rev. Pannie Smith. Burial will be in Strickland Cemetery in Falcon.
Mr. Barefoot is survived by three sons, Johnny Barefoot and Marvin Barefoot, both of Angier, and Lloyd Barefoot of Dunn; two daughters, Dianne Nunnery of Fayetteville and Evelyn Holder of Dunn; two sisters, Mamie Sills of Dunn and Lela Smith of Colonial Heights, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wanda K. Lewis (Dated Wednesday, July 21, 1999)
ELIZABETHTOWN -- Mrs. Wanda Kay Lewis, 42, of 6777 N.C. 52 West died Monday in Bladen County Hospital.

COATS -- Ms. Erna Mae Matthews Parker, 77, of Route 1 died Tuesday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Prospect Freewill Baptist Church in Erwin by the Rev. Phil Davis. Burial will be in Pleasant Union Christian Church cemetery in Buies Creek.
Ms. Parker is survived by three sons, Fleming Parker, Danny R. Parker and Paul Parker, all of Coats; a daughter, Mary C. Lee of Dunn; two brothers, Clyde Matthews of Durham and Billy Matthews of Coats; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home.

ERWIN -- Mrs. Blanche Davis Shaw, 92, of Erwin died Tuesday in her home.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Caroline Leak of 110 Earl St. died Sunday in her home.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Eugene B. Turner. Burial will be in Elizabeth Heights Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Maultsby & Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leak is survived by a son, James A. Leak of Columbus, Ga.; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Banks of Fayetteville and Barbara C. Clark of Columbus; a brother, Wade Gatewood of Wadesboro; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Lock’s Creek AME Zion Church in Vander by the Rev. Reginald Massey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. McLaurin is survived by two sons, Walter J. McLaurin of Fayetteville and Milton Coleman of Philadelphia; three daughters, Ruth Burruss and Shirley Waddell, both of Philadelphia, and Wilma J. McCall of Fayetteville; two brothers, James McLaurin and Hasty McLaurin, both of Fayetteville; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

Mrs. Marie Anderson, 95, of 3433 Thorndike Drive, Fayetteville, died Monday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Anderson worked at Fort Bragg as a civil service employee before retiring.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, George Anderson of Fayetteville; three daughters, Alberta C. Peaton and Elke M. Thomas, both of Fayetteville, and Beverly A. Drummond of Fort Washington, Md.; two sons, John D. Cogdell of Fayetteville and Robert E. Cogdell of Fort Washington; and 15 grandchildren.
