Mr. Schell is survived by his wife, Sue E. Schell; two daughters, Deborah Custer of Goldsboro and Billie S. Mathias of Bossier City, La.; and four grandchildren.

SANFORD -- Tyler Oliver Hubbell, infant son of Carl H. and Sherri C. Hubbell, of 3540 N.C. 87 South died Sunday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A private family service will be held at 4 p.m. today in Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home by Keith Miller.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by a brother, Austin C. Hubbell of Sanford; his maternal grandparents, Clara Cameron of Sanford and Marcus Cameron of Lemon Springs; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Hubbell of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Charles H. Lennon Jr. (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
EVERGREEN -- Charles Hubert Lennon Jr., 84, of 6820 Old Highway 74 died Saturday in Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peoples Funeral Home chapel in Whiteville by the Rev. George Nance.
Mr. Lennon is survived by his wife, Maude Lennon; five daughters, Audrey Lennon of the home, Jeanne Swain of Brooklyn, N.Y., Marilyn Williams of Queens, N.Y., Nancy Wallace of Palm Beach, Fla., and Gail O’Clair of Cassellberry, Fla.; and a sister, Elizabeth Hielig of Columbus, Ohio.

RAEFORD -- George McCauley, 89, of 1003 Fayetteville Road died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Buie Funeral Home chapel by Elder Willie Purcell Jr. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McCauley is survived by his wife, Julia K. McCauley of the home; a stepdaughter, Betty Purcell of Raeford; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home.

Hampton T. Callahan Jr. (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
MARSTON -- Hampton Tilton Callahan Jr., 53, of Marston died Monday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Callahan was a contractor.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bethesda Cemetery.
Mr. Callahan is survived by his wife, Judith S. Callahan; four daughters, Amy L. Callahan of Raeford, Trudy C. Lyon of Lexington and Jamie M. Callahan and Jennifer L. Callahan, both of Marston; two brothers, Samuel Callahan of Albemarle and Larry Callahan of Laurinburg; two sisters, LouAnn Webb of Gastonia and Laura Britt of Laurinburg; and three grandchildren.

CARTHAGE -- Greg L. Ragsdale, 38, of 1133 Farmlife School Road died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Ragsdale was a farmer.

PHILADELPHIA -- Mrs. Catherine Patterson Revels, 79, of Philadelphia, formerly of Laurinburg, N.C., died Thursday.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Laurinburg by the Revs. T.R. Davis and H.E. Edwards. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Revels is survived by a daughter, Doris McMillan of Philadelphia; a son, James C. Revels of Philadelphia; two sisters, Thelma Patterson and Mattie Patterson, both of Laurinburg; two brothers, James F. Patterson of Jamaica, N.Y., and James H. Patterson of Laurinburg; and 28 grandchildren.

Andrew E. ‘Drew’ Butler (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
FOREST PARK, Ga. -- Andrew Earl ‘‘Drew’’ Butler, 43, of 5043 East St., formerly of Laurinburg, N.C., died Thursday in his home.
Mr. Butler was a former member of Snead’s Grove United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Snead’s Grove United Methodist Church in Laurinburg by the Rev. James F. Thompson. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg.
Mr. Butler is survived by his mother and stepfather, Catherine B. Evans and Carroll H. Henderson of Laurinburg; two sisters, Jennifer Pregge of Charlotte and Dawn Pressley of Monroe; and his paternal grandmother, Alma Butler of Laurinburg.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Lizzie Leggett Sealy, 84, of 1000 Wesley Pines Road, formerly of Orrum, died Sunday in Wesley Pines Nursing Home.
Mrs. Sealy was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bethesda United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Sharp. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sealy is survived by four sons, Gene Sealy of Rocky Mount, George Sealy and Bobby Sealy, both of Orrum, and Roy Sealy of Fairmont; three daughters, Betty Gray and Nancy McCormick, both of Orrum, and Mary Short of Fairmont; a brother, C.M. Leggett of Fairmont; three sisters, Annie L. Britt and Kathleen Bullock, both of Lumberton, and Esba Bennett of Paris, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Lonnie R. Akins (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
SPRING LAKE -- Lonnie R. Akins, 56, of 386 Rainey Drive died Monday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mr. Akins was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery in Lannet, Ala. Arrangements are being handled by Adcock Funeral Home.
Mr. Akins is survived by his wife, Iney C. Akins of Spring Lake; two sons, David D. Akins and Daniel M. Akins, both of Spring Lake; a daughter, Kayla D. Williams of Spring Lake; his father, Daniel Akins of Franklin, Ga.; a brother, Ralph Akins of Lanett, Ala.; and a sister, Yvonne Tittle of Valley, Ala.
Maggie B. Sanders (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
LUMBERTON -- Ms. Maggie Bowers Sanders, 65, of 105 Elizabethtown Road died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses by Brother James H. Cade. Burial will be in Bowers family cemetery in Ashland City, Tenn. Arrangements are being handled by Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.
Ms. Sanders is survived by two brothers, Isaiah Bowers and Harold E. Bowers, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and five sisters, Agnes Dotson, Mary A. Manning, Bessie Dalton, Betty Gore and Margaret Thomas, all of Nashville.
Virginia A. Lee (Dated Tuesday, October 5, 1999)
FARMINGTON, N.M. -- Mrs. Virginia Ann ‘‘Ginny’’ Lee, of Farmington, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Sunday. She was 80.
Mrs. Lee was on the Board of Elections for Cumberland County for eight years. She was instrumental in starting the Blood Assurance Plan in Fayetteville, as well as being on the founding board of directors for Hope Harbor. Mrs. Lee was also active in the Cumberland County Stroke Program.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, Jackson F. Lee of Farmington. Mr. Lee is a former mayor of Fayetteville.
She is also survived by four children, Dr. Jackson F. ‘‘Jeff’’ Lee Jr. of Florence, S.C., William T. ‘‘Tom’’ Lee of Fayetteville, David S. ‘‘Dave’’ Lee of Garner, N.C., and Virginia L. “Ginny” Starke of Canberra, Australia; and six grandchildren.
