NEWARK, N.J. -- Ms. Renetta C. Brower, 42, of Newark, formerly of Rockingham, N.C., died Saturday.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Poplar Springs Church in Rockingham. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Nelson Funeral Home of Hamlet, N.C.
Ms. Brower is survived by a daughter, Yvette Brower of Newark; a son, Dennis Brower of Newark; a brother, Arthur McDonald of Rockingham; a sister, Tonnie Yvette of Newark; and a brother, William Brower Jr. of Newark.
Allen H. Brock (Dated Friday, October 8, 1999)
SOUTHERN PINES -- Allen H. Brock, 79, of Southern Pines died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Brock was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an editor before retiring.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church by the Rev. David Helms. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home.
Mr. Brock is survived by his wife, Sarah A. Brock of Southern Pines; a son, Allen H. Brock Jr. of Southern Pines; two daughters, Ann B. Stack of Laurinburg and Amy B. Cooper of Greensboro; two sisters, Helen Hicks of Owensboro, Ky., and Juanita Overstreet of Austin, Texas; and a granddaughter.

ROSEBORO -- Donald Bell II, 30, of Palm Tree Lane died Monday.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Sampson Middle School by the Rev. Robert Covington. Burial will be in Sandhills Cemetery.
Mr. Bell is survived by his mother, Ella M. Bell of Fayetteville; two sons, Ronald B. Hobbs and Delantae B. Hobbs, both of Clinton; and three sisters, Donya Faison of Charlotte, Debranon Bell of Fayetteville and Djuan Bell of Clinton.
The public will be received Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home.
Billy D. McDuffee (Dated Friday, October 8, 1999)
Billy Dean McDuffee, 69, of 5960 Lakeway Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills by the Rev. Wayne Chandler. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park West.
Mr. McDuffee is survived by his wife, Ann McDuffee of Fayetteville; five daughters, Mary Ann Mullins of Pound, Va., Doris J. Johnson of Raeford, Kathy H. Floyd of Hope Mills, Barbara Robinson of Lumberton and LaDonna McDuffie of Imperial Beach, Fla.; four sons, Roland D. Robinson of Orlando, Fla., Ronald D. Robinson of St. Pauls, Donald E. Robinson of Hope Mills and Ray Andrade of Fayetteville; a sister, Helen J. Norris of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Arnold L. McDuffee and John R. McDuffee, both of Anderson, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

CLINTON -- Ms. Maggie Bell Batts, 79, of Southwood Drive died Sunday in Mary Gran Nursing Center.
Ms. Batts was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Larry Padgett and James Andrews. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
Ms. Batts is survived by three daughters, Joyce B. Herring of Clinton, Karen B. Simmons of Etowah, Tenn., and Judie B. Clark of Knightdale; two sons, Roy Batts of Houston and Ronnie Batts of Dunn; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.

SPRING LAKE -- Retired Army 1st Sgt. James Herbert Ewing, 74, of 3201 Brinkley Drive died Saturday in his home.
Mr. Ewing was a veteran of World War II, the Vietnam War and the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9103.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Adcock Funeral Home chapel. Entombment with military honors will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Mr. Ewing is survived by his wife, Han Son Ewing of the home; a daughter, Susy M. Ewing of Fayetteville; a son, James H. Ewing Jr. of Fayetteville; a sister, Mildred Busch of Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Bill Ewing of Los Angeles and Frank Erwin of New York; and a grandson.

Mr. Peacock is survived by a daughter, Beverly Barfield-Henson of Baltimore; two sisters, Claudia L. Peacock of Benson and Marie P. Allen of Durham; and two grandchildren.

She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and the Fayetteville Women’s Club.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cross Creek Cemetery by Dr. J. Ernest Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
Ms. Livingston is survived by a great-nephew and a great-niece.
