LAUREL HILL -- David Eric Walters, 14, of 9400 Rachels St. died Friday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.
David was a ninth-grade student at Scotland High School.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Butler Funeral Service chapel by the Revs. Mike Porter and Hedrick Jones. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery.
David is survived by his mother, Patsy Walters of Laurel Hill; two brothers, Richard W. Murphy Jr. of Maxton and Charles M. Carneal of Vass; a sister, Laurie M. Murray of Clover, S.C.; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Walters of Laurel Hill; and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Norton of Laurinburg.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

WADESBORO -- Mrs. Willie Pearl Edwards, 96, of Heritage Hills Nursing Home, formerly of Hamlet, died Friday.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of St. Stephen AME Zion Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen AME Zion Church by the Rev. J.L. Ervin. Burial will be in Dobbins Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Nelson Funeral Service.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, Joseph N. Gilchrist of Charlotte; two brothers, Willard D. Robinson and Walter E. Robinson, both of Asheville; three sisters, Constance Newman of California, Emma James of Washington, D.C., and Flora Morris of Maryland; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight at the home.
Idella Z. Creech

DUNN -- Mrs. Idella Surles Ziady Creech, 75, of 9661 Harnett-Dunn Highway died Sunday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.
Mrs. Creech was a waitress at Charlie Surles BarQ before retiring.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Sexton Vann. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Mrs. Creech is survived by two sons, Joe Ziady of Virginia and Dennis Ziady of Salemburg; two daughters, Rose Z. Allen and Elizabeth Z. Miller, both of Dunn; two sisters, Ruth S. Phillips of Benson and Christine S. Vann of Erwin; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
P. Ray McDuffie

SANFORD -- P. Ray McDuffie, 62, of 464 Dixie Farm Road died Saturday in Central Carolina Hospital.
Mr. McDuffie worked for Alltel for 31 years as a telephone repairman. He was a Navy veteran. Mr. McDuffie was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Broadway Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas Lee. Burial will be in Broadway Town Cemetery.
Mr. McDuffie is survived by his wife, Helen W. McDuffie; a son, Stephen R. McDuffie of Sanford; a daughter, Natalie A. McDuffie of Broadway; two brothers, Bobby McDuffie of Supply and J.C. McDuffie of Gastonia; and a sister, Faye Rosela of Pasadena, Md.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.

HOFFMAN -- Ms. Sarah H. Martin, 87, of Hoffman died recently.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. W.E. McLeod.
Ms. Martin is survived by two sisters, Ammie McKoy and Clara Wilkerson, both of Hoffman; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 3 to 8 p.m. at Jones and Little Funeral Home chapel in Aberdeen.
Isabell D. Kinlaw

DUBLIN -- Ms. Isabell Dowless Kinlaw, 73, of 1 Armfield St. died Sunday in her home.

Mrs. Kinlaw is survived by two daughters, Ann Thompson and Sue Kinlaw, both of Dublin; three sons, Elton Kinlaw of Tar Heel, Robie Kinlaw of Fayetteville and David Kinlaw of Hallsboro; three brothers, Aaron Dowless of Hampton, Va., Robert Dowless of Elizabethtown and Jayford Dowless of Bladenboro; three sisters, Margaret Hester and McRee Carroll, both of Dublin, and Ella M. Harris of Hope Mills; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sheridan is survived by his wife, Jean G. Sheridan of the home; two sons, Richard Sheridan Jr. and Raviien Sheridan; seven daughters, Rhonda, Ryan, Richia, Ronjea, Ronita, Rharri and Ricquel; two sisters, Betty J. Smith and Annie F. Holmes; 36 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Holmes was a member of Bluff Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Bluff Presbyterian Church by Dr. Robert Yoder. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Holmes is survived by a daughter, Margaret Sudenski of Chicago; a son, Seavy L. Holmes of Wade; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

HAMLET -- Mrs. Gloria Mae Mann Fisher, 59, of 819 Pine St. died Thursday in Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was the administrator of New Hope and Fisher’s Rest Homes.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. W.H. Gatewood. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Nelson Funeral Service.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by two sons, Frank Fisher Jr. and Janathan Fisher, both of Hamlet; two daughters, Alesia Williams of Oceanside, Calif., and Mary Fisher of Charlotte; and a sister, Linda Ghee of Riverdale, Md.
