HENDERSON -- Douglas B. Brewer, 58, of 1862 Lynne Ave., formerly of Sampson County, died Tuesday in Maria Parham Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home by Dr. Gene Wood. Burial will be in Owens Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Sherry T. Brewer of the home; a daughter, Kathy Ellis of Clinton; two sons, Johnny P. Brewer and Douglas W. Brewer, both of Clinton; and two grandsons.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Willie L. Blue

Willie Lee Blue, 64, of 707 Murchison Road, Fayetteville, died Nov. 3 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Wiseman Mortuary chapel by the Rev. Michael Fuller. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.
Mr. Blue is survived by three sisters, Mary Fuller of Silver Springs, Md., Beulah Gary of Jamaica, N.Y., and Mildred Thomas of Lima, Ohio.
The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carson R. Black Sr.

PINEHURST -- Carson R. Black Sr., 95, of Pinehurst died Tuesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Beulah Hill Baptist Church by the Revs. Archie Stevens and Clarence Garner. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Black is survived by his wife, Florence K. Black; four sons, Carson R. ‘‘Tom’’ Black Jr. of Lincolnton, Charles H. Black of West End, Randolph L. Black of Middletown, Md., and Stanley G. Black of Aberdeen; two daughters, Millie B. Cole of Aberdeen and Linda B. Dunn of Pinebluff; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Boles Funeral Home.
Hollie Bethea

MAXTON -- Mrs. Hollie Bethea, 85, of 3650 Mount Zion Church Road died Monday in her home.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Mount Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ken Johnson. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by L.E. Floyd Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bethea is survived by two sisters, Dr. Ada Palmer and Effie Adams, both of Red Springs; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Alberta Benton

FREMONT -- Mrs. Alberta Benton, 76, of Fremont, formerly of Bladenboro, died Monday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Lewis Funeral Home in Bladenboro by the Rev. Bobby Carden. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery.
Mrs. Benton is survived by two daughters, Emily Hammond of Fremont and Judy B. Goins of Maryland; five stepchildren, Gloris Inman and Curtis Benton, both of Bladenboro, Lester Benton of Missouri, Lousie Hester of Virginia and Elizabeth Rogers of South Carolina; 23 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Alfred B. Beffa

ATLANTA -- Alfred B. Beffa, 85, of Atlanta died Wednesday.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rest Haven Cemetery in Washington. Arrangements are being handled by H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home Canton Hill Chapel of Marietta.
Among Mr. Beffa’s survivors is a daughter, Marianna Hollinshed of Fayetteville, N.C.

ROSEBORO -- Mrs. Frances Lee Harris Pate, 75, of Pleasant Street died Sunday in Mary Gran Nursing Center.

Mrs. Pate is survived by four daughters, Margaret Bryan of Fayetteville, Anne F. Pate of Burns, Tenn., Carol Baker of Magnolia and Paula Pate of Roseboro; two sisters, Agnes Knight of Durham and Jean McDowell of Roseboro; a brother, Pete Harris of Roseboro; and two grandchildren.

LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Beatrice Gibson Seals, 95, of Laurinburg, formerly of Maxton, died Sunday in Edwin Morgan Center.
Mrs. Seals was the former owner of W.J. Pace Grocery, Seals Cleaners and Tweedies Dress Shop. She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church by the Revs. Diane Killian and Sam Brown. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton. Arrangements are being handled by McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
Mrs. Seals is survived by two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
