FAIRMONT -- Druid Page Floyd, 71, of 15278 N.C. 130 East died Monday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
Mr. Floyd was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Proctorville Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Floyd Funeral Services by the Revs. Tim Sellers, W.C. Baxley and Bill Scott. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Fannie I. Floyd of the home; two sons, Davy Floyd of Charlotte and Grayling Floyd of Lumberton; three daughters, Ann Ray of Fairmont, Apsie Murray of Lumberton and Melinda Brisson of the home; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
Everett A. Barefoot

Everett Allen Barefoot, 82, of 2628 Bennington Road, Fayetteville, died Monday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mr. Barefoot was a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church and the Fayetteville Lion’s Club. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Snyder Memorial Baptist Church by Drs. David Crocker and James C. Cammack and the Rev. Sandy Saunders. Burial with military honors will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Mary E. Barefoot of the home; two sons, Robert A. Barefoot of Fayetteville and Everette Bentley of Greensboro; three daughters, Rhonda Ferrell of Warsaw, Sharon Klutz of Salisbury and Peggy Ivey of Erwin; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

WHITEVILLE -- Robert Lee Phifer, 70, of 111 Smith Alley died Sunday in Columbus County Hospital.

Mr. Phifer is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Phifer; five daughters, Yevette Phifer of New York, Sheila Westley of Florida, Gayle M. George of Whiteville and Irma Gaither and Deborah Black, both of Maryland; three sons, Jamal Phifer, Douglas Phifer and Bernard Phifer, all of Washington, D.C.; and a brother, James Phifer of New Jersey.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Roy L. Davis; two daughters, Jaqueline Kinard of Rockingham and Jodie Davis of Aberdeen; a sister, Ida Williams of Winston-Salem; a brother, John Jackson of Panama City, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Ronald D. Slough

WAHIAWA, Hawaii -- Army Sgt. 1st Class Ronald Dale Slough, 37, of 2183 D. Nawao Court, formerly of Fort Bragg, N.C., died Saturday.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Big Lick Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Linker. Burial with military honors will be in Oakboro Cemetery in Oakboro, N.C. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, N.C.
Sgt. Slough is survived by his wife, Dany F. Slough of Wahiawa; two sons, Breanna Slough and Samuel D. Slough, both of Wahiawa; a daughter, Megan Slough of Wahiawa; his mother and stepfather, Wanda S. and William H. Gardner of Oakboro; and three brothers, O.V. Gardner, Timothy S. Gardner and Gerald W. Slough, all of Albemarle.

Alvin O. Garner

ABERDEEN -- Alvin O. Garner, 75, of 402 N. Poplar St. died Tuesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Garner was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a volunteer fireman for Aberdeen Fire Department.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethesda Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Val Ott. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
Mr. Garner is survived by his wife, Elvina J. Garner of the home; a son, William L. Garner Sr. of Cameron; two daughters, Linda G. Douglas of Mebane and Sylvia G. Gibson of Coleridge; a brother, Leo ‘‘Bud’’ Garner of Newport; a sister, Idell G. Mann of Newport; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Marjorie H. Aldrich

LAKE WACCAMAW -- Mrs. Marjorie Holland Aldrich, 63, of 1612 Lake Shore Drive died Tuesday in her home.
Mrs. Aldrich was a member of Lake Waccamaw Presbyterian Church.
A private graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton by the Revs. David Walker and Paul Woodall Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Lake Waccamaw Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are being handled by McKenzie Mortuary.
Mrs. Aldrich is survived by her husband, Robert F. ‘’Bob’’ Aldrich of Lake Waccamaw; a daughter, Amy E. Aldrich of Hingham, Mass.; two sons, Alan K. Aldrich of South Pasadena, Calif., and Keith C. Aldrich of Singapore; a brother, Robert E. Holland of Titusville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Claude G. Atkins

WARSAW -- Claude Glenn Atkins, 58, of 109 N. Frisco St. died Sunday in his home.
Mr. Atkins was a member of Christ Ministry Church of Clinton. He was a retired truck driver.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in Christ Ministry Church in Clinton by the Rev. Larry Stancil. Arrangements are being handled by Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
Mr. Atkins is survived by his wife, Mafalda C. Atkins; a son, William A. Atkins of Baton Rouge, La.; two stepsons, James H. Messmer of Gainesville, Fla., and Dale A. Brock of Charlotte; a stepdaughter, Kathrina Pritchard of Portsmouth, Va.; three brothers, Robert Atkins of Newport News, Va., Leon Atkins of Roanoke, Va., and Eugene ‘‘Sug’’ Atkins of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends before and after the memorial service at the home.
