SHANNON -- Mrs. Joyce Cummings Jones White, 53, of 158 Fran Drive died Saturday in her home.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs by the Revs. Raymond Ellis and Williford Bullard. Burial will be in Oxendine Cemetery in Pembroke.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Jimmy White of Shannon; a son, James Jones of Shannon; three brothers, Jerry Cummings of Jacksonville, Glenn Graham of Shannon and Gerald Graham of Red Springs; three sisters, Marie Capps of Raeford, Janice Bond of Jacksonville and Gainer Cummings of Shannon; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Annie N. Watson
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
RED SPRINGS -- Mrs. Annie Neal Watson, 88, of 3476 S. Duffie Road died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Mrs. Watson was a homemaker. She was a member of Red Springs Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Red Springs Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Mike McGhee. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson is survived by a daughter, Betsy Little of Red Springs.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Red Springs Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Springs Presbyterian Church, 115 N. Vance St., Red Springs, N.C. 28377; to Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Home, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, N.C. 28450; or to the charity of one’s choice.

Sudie K. Turner
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
LUMBERTON -- Ms. Sudie Kinlaw Turner, 88, of 1000 Wesley Pines Road died Saturday in Wesley Pines Nursing Home.

Ms. Turner was a charter member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Godwin Heights Baptist Church by Dr. Lynn Bullock. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

Ms. Turner is survived by two sons, Frank J. Kinlaw and Bruce S. Kinlaw Sr., both of Lumberton; two brothers, Juneious Harden and Bill Harden, both of Lumberton; four sisters, Thelma Harden, Della M. Harden and Bessie Harden, all of Lumberton, and Minnie Hayes of Whiteville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.

Johnny Troublefield
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
LAURINBURG -- Johnny Troublefield, 49, of 209 First St. died Sunday in his home.

Mr. Troublefield was a filler operator for Campbell Soup Co. He was an Army veteran.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Boles Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Joe Barnhill, James T. Locklear and Gary Teague. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.

Mr. Troublefield is survived by two sons, David L. Tidmore of Laurinburg and Richard T. Tidmore of Alabama; a daughter, Evelyn F. Tidmore of Laurinburg; his mother, Mary C. Troublefield of Laurinburg; a brother, Clarence ‘‘Jay’’ Troublefield Jr. of Laurinburg; and a sister, Betty T. Locklear of Laurel Hill.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Josie C. Stutts

ROBBINS -- Mrs. Josie Cockman Stutts, 85, of 1651 Old Plank Road died Saturday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Stutts was a homemaker and a member of Bright Light Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bright Light Baptist Church by the Revs. Fred Richardson and Ralph Voncannon. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Stutts is survived by three sisters, Donna C. Beck of Asheboro and Bell C. Pope and Kathleen C. Craddock, both of Robbins; and two brothers, Rowland Cockman and Ben Cockman, both of Robbins.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

Marie B. Sharpe

BENNETT -- Ms. Marie B. Sharpe, 100, of 424 N.C. 22 died Sunday in Sunbridge Health Care in Siler City.

Arrangements will be announced by Kennedy Funeral Home of Robbins.

PEMBROKE -- James Sampson Revels, 86, of 7721 Deep Branch Road died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church by the Revs. Kent Chavis, Timmy Chavis and Larry Locklear. Burial will be in St. Annah Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Revels is survived by his wife, Ruby L. Revels of the home; three daughters, Susan Revels and Sherry R. Collins, both of Pembroke, and Shelia A. Revels of Clayton; a brother, Willie M. Revels of Pembroke; three sisters, Annie S. Bell and Delina Sanderson, both of Maxton, and Louisiana Lee of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight beginning at 7 at Thompson’s Funeral Home.

Lawrence B. Rauscher

HOPE MILLS -- Lawrence B. Rauscher, 48, of 3027 Akron Drive died Sunday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Reeves Funeral Home by the Rev. John Willis. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Mr. Rauscher is survived by his wife, Donna Rauscher; two daughters, Kimberly Lovick of Wade and Lisa Rauscher of the home; his father and stepmother, Bernard and Janice Rauscher of Athens, Mich.; three brothers, Morris Rauscher of Hope Mills and Michael Rauscher and David Rauscher, both of Fayetteville; three sisters, Laura Taylor of Greensboro, Diann Emerson of Bellingham, Wash., and Michelle Fitzgerald of Rocky Point; and a grandson.

ROWLAND -- Mrs. Betty Ransom, 66, of 5046 Union School Road died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hopewell Methodist Church by the Revs. Jerry Scott, Charles Locklear and Harold Hunt. Burial will be in Hopewell Church cemetery.

Mrs. Ransom is survived by a son, James H. Ransom Jr. of the home; two daughters, Sharlene R. Locklear of Rowland and Lorraine A. Ransom of the home; three brothers, William N. Baker of Coleman, Texas, and Donald Baker and Ozell Baker, both of Pembroke; two sisters, Velma Deese of Rowland and Joyce B. Lowry of Pembroke; her stepmother, Ella Baker of Pembroke; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home in Pembroke.

Thomas W. Ramsey

Thomas W. Ramsey, 62, of Fayetteville died Tuesday.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake by Pastor Guy Taylor.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his wife, Margaret Ramsey of Fayetteville; three sons, Thomas W. Ramsey Jr. of Fayetteville, Donald N. Ramsey of Spring Lake and Ronald G. Ramsey of California; two daughters, Denise Fissel of Pennsylvania and Sharon Ramsey of California; a brother, Charles Ramsey of Arkansas; a sister, Polly Jameson of Tennessee; a half sister, Louis Ratliff of Texas; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home.

Carl F. Peiler
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
SANFORD -- Carl Ferdinand Peiler, 77, of 1710 Lynnwood Court died Saturday in St. Joseph of the Pines.

Mr. Peiler was a veteran of World War II. He was an engineer for Moen, Inc. before retiring.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Sell. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Boles Funeral Home.

Mr. Peiler is survived by his wife, Helga Peiler; two daughters, Gabriele Bergmann of Fort Collins, Colo., and Christine Schmidt of St. Augustine, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Fleatchmer of Bonn, Germany; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Research, P.O. Box 981, Sanford, N.C. 27330.

Roderick B. Patterson
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
BROADWAY -- Roderick B. ‘‘Ock’’ Patterson, 73, of Broadway died Saturday in Integrated Health Services of Fayetteville.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Leaflet Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jerry Vuncannon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home of Lillington.

Mr. Patterson is survived by three sisters, Lena Hughes of Fayetteville, Margaret Butler of Broadway and Jennie Holland of Lillington; and six brothers, Clyde Patterson, L.C. Patterson and Duncan Patterson, all of Broadway, Dougald Patterson of Riedsville, Parker Patterson of Greensboro and Nash Patterson of Lillington.

The family will receive friends at the home of Clyde Patterson.

Memorials may be made to Leaflet Presbyterian Church.

Leron M. Ockletree

LILLINGTON -- Leron McNeill Ockletree, 45, of 407 W. Cornelius-Harnett Blvd. died Friday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dafford Funeral Home chapel in Dunn. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Ockletree is survived by his wife, Yvonne M. Ockletree of the home; two sons, Kevin McNeill of the home and Leron Lewis of Lillington; a daughter, Kim Lewis of Lillington; three stepdaughters, Frederick Holiday of the home, Yolanda Walker of Lillington and Latonia Holiday of Raleigh; his mother, Alberta McNeill of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Joe McNeill of Washington; a sister, Arletha McNeill of Washington; a half brother, Ricky McDougald of Bunnlevel; and three step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Waylon Norris
(Dated Monday, December 27, 1999)
CHADBOURN -- Waylon Norris, 79, of Chadbourn died Saturday in Waccamaw Village Rest Home in Lake Waccamaw.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Jim Skinner. Burial will be in Fipps Cemetery.

Mr. Norris is survived by a stepson, Walter Tedder of Chadbourn; three stepdaughters, Lois Henry of Charleston, S.C., Mildred Hamilton of Chadbourn and Margaret Barnes of Sanford; a sister, Eva Cribb of Wilmington; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Worthington Funeral Home.
