Raeford C. Carter

CLINTON -- Raeford Cole Carter, infant son of Gary R. and Jennifer H. Carter, of 784 Kenneth Carter Road died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Carter family cemetery by the Rev. Odell Peterson. Arrangements are being handled by Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, Raeford is survived by his grandparents, Thomas and Rovenna Hobbs and Raeford and Wanda H. Carter, all of Clinton.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Joseph R. Jernigan

Joseph Richard Jernigan, 71, of 3901 Bridgeview Drive, Fayetteville, died Friday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Jernigan retired from the Fayetteville Fire Department as a lieutenant after 35 years.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills by the Rev. Roger A. White. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Jernigan is survived by his wife, Helen H. Jernigan; a son, Rabbi Richard C. Jernigan of Hope Mills; a daughter, Patricia H. Godwin of Wade; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Jasper L. Turner

SPINDALE -- Jasper Lee Turner, 85, of Spindale, formerly of Fayetteville, died Monday in Rutherford Hospital in Rutherford.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Enloe Mortuary in Shelby by the Rev. Bonnie Hines. Burial will be in Webb Memorial Lawns.
Mr. Turner is survived by a daughter, Sandra T. Wilson of Toledo, Ohio; and a grandson.
Joan B. Ricketts

Mrs. Joan Marie Bowman Ricketts, 48, of 3273 Alforodo St., Fayetteville, died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hartzler Funeral Home in Union Bridge, Md., by the Revs. Bill Warehime and Richard Michael. Burial will be in Middleburg Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Ricketts is survived by three daughters, Dawn E. Wagerman of Emmitsburg, Md., Dixie M. Stansbury of Westminster, Md., and Stephanie M. Ricketts of Fayetteville; a son, Steven L. Ricketts Jr. of Fayetteville; her parents, John B. and Mary G. Bowman of Union Bridge; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CLINTON -- Mrs. Leila Brown Kivett Britt, 87, of Clinton died Thursday in Mary Gran Nursing Center.
Mrs. Britt was a member of Keener United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home by the Rev. Jay Bissette. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Garden.
Mrs. Britt is survived by a sister, Johnnie B. Baker of High Point.

DUNN -- Danny Keith Moore, 54, of Dunn died Friday in Glencare Nursing Home in Warsaw.
Mr. Moore was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Lacy Frye and Tim McQueen. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Moore is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ethel P. and Woodrow Williford of Dunn; and a brother, Eric Moore of Raleigh.

Ms. Whitted is survived by her mother, Rosa B. Whitted of Fayetteville; two brothers, Wayne Whitted and Kevin Whitted, both of Fayetteville; and two sisters, Saundra Belle and Emma Sinclair, both of Fayetteville.

Mr. Marcotullio was an Army veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mr. Marcotullio is survived by his wife, Vera J. Marcotullio of the home; a daughter, Anna M. McConnell of Hallsboro; two stepsons, Ronald Jordan of Wilmington and Danny Jordan of Travis, Fla.; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Vincenzo Vindigni, 50, of 6028 Bartlett Court, Fayetteville, died Friday in his home.
