Mrs. Betty J. Mercer, 87, of 150 W. Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, died Thursday in Craven County Medical Center.
Mrs. Mercer was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in LaFayette Memorial Park by the Rev. Randy See.
Mrs. Mercer is survived by two daughters, Betty Zerr of New Bern and Linda M. Beechler of Fayetteville; three sons, William B. Mercer, Carlon G. Mercer and Larry Mercer, all of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

SPRING LAKE -- Joe Issac McNeill, 59, of 1404 Mack St. died Tuesday in Sunrise Care and Rehabilitation of Fayetteville.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Spring Lake Community Mortuary chapel by the Rev. James Scriven. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Mr. McNeill is survived by two sons, Joe McNeill Jr. and Michael McNeill, both of Spring Lake; a daughter, Jacqueline A. Calhoun of Fort Seal, Okla.; two brothers, Charles F. McNeill and John C. McNeill, both of Lillington; three sisters, Shirley A. Worthy, Patsy N. Bowens and Gwendolyn Jacobs, all of Spring Lake; and four grandchildren.

SANFORD -- Ms. Lucy Cooper McIver, 83, of 510 Maplewood Drive died Friday in Central Carolina Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Miller-Boles Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Carl Rush.
Ms. McIver is survived by two daughters, Katherine M. Ciompi of Durham and Scott M. Gwynne of Chapel Hill; a sister, Teddy Rinard of Wilmington, Del.; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Maynor is survived by five sisters, Annie Thomas, Vivian Wint, Barbara McLean, Catherine McKoy and Shirley McLaughlin, all of Fayetteville; and two brothers, Henry L. Maynor and Ben W. Maynor, both of Fayetteville.

Yolanda is survived by her parents, Johnny Liles and Julie Walters, both of Lumberton; three brothers, Zackary L. Walters, Ryan Walters and Justin K. Liles, all of Lumberton; a sister, Ashley R. Liles of Lumberton; her maternal grandparents, Lacy J. and Janet K. Phillips of Lumberton; and her paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lula B. Liles Jr. of Lumberton.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Annette P. Jordan of the home; a daughter, Cornelia Everhart of Augusta, Ga.; a son, Carl L. Mattox of Columbia, S.C.; his mother, Magalina P. Faison of Roxboro; six sisters, Lois J. Branch and Beatrice Flythe, both of Seaboard, Sherby Trotter of Roxboro, Frances Sykes of Buie, Ma., Maxine Jordan of Bronx, N.Y., and Yvette Pope of Detroit; and four grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 1to 6 p.m. at F.W. Newton & Sons Mortuary.
A wake will be held tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hess is survived by her husband, George W. Hess; two daughters, Nancy H. Fritzsche of Monument, Colo., and Barbara H. McAloose of Greenwood, Ind.; three sons, James R. Hess of High Point, Lawrence C. Hess of Philadelphia and Russell C. Hess of Hanover, Pa.; two sisters, Ruth Shivery of Bryn Mawr, Pa., and Dorothy Griffin of Reisterstown, Ma.; and 11 grandchildren.

SPRING LAKE -- Miss Jodey LeeAnn Dennis, 18-month-old daughter of Violet Barnett and George Dennis of Spring Lake, died Wednesday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Price Funeral Home in Erwin by the Rev. Jerome Pope. Burial will be in the Ryals family cemetery in Erwin.
In addition to her parents, Jodey is survived by three brothers, George Dennis Jr. of Four Oaks, Allen R. Dennis of Spring Lake and Gary Dennis of Garner; four sisters, Tara Dennis and Julie Gorlewski, both of Coats, Rosie Lockamy of Dunn and Bridget Dennis of Flint, Mich.; her paternal grandmother, Vara Avery of Erwin; her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy Barnett of Benson; her maternal great-grandfather, Wilford Barnett of Cowen, W.Va.; and her maternal great-grandparents, Raymond V. and Faith E. Ball of Newfane, N.Y.

Mr. Mauldin is survived by his wife, Carolyn M.
