RED SPRINGS -- Ms. Betty Fauscett Stevens, 64, of 1955 Mount Tabor Road died Thursday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Westside Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill McNeill. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.

Ms. Stevens is survived by a son, Bill Fauscett of Red Springs; and a grandson.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Red Springs Funeral Home.

Mrs. B. Cooper Gore
(Dated Friday, Feb. 12, 1999)
CLINTON -- Mrs. B. Cooper Gore, 90, of 2194 Basstown Road died Thursday in Mary Gran Nursing Center.

Mrs. Gore was a member of Brown Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Brown Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Turner.

Mrs. Gore is survived by two sons, Abner Gore and Jimmy Gore, both of Clinton; two brothers, Woodrow Honeycutt and Willard ’’Thump‘‘ Honeycutt, both of Clinton; a sister, Annie Houchens of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

Antonio J. Coelho Jr.

Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Antonio Joseph Coelho Jr., 71, of 611-B Brittany Place Apts., Fayetteville, died Wednesday in his home.

Arrangements will be announced by Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.

Charles W. ‘Pete’ Moore
(Dated Friday, Feb. 12, 1999)
Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles W. ’’Pete‘‘ Moore, 78, of 6428 Kincross Ave., Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Moore was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was the director of food services at Pennick Home in Pinehurst and assistant manager of food services at Methodist College. Mr. Moore was a member of Hope Mills Masonic Lodge.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Village Presbyterian Church by Chaplain Maj. Archie Berringer and Curtis Harper. Burial with military honors will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Frances H. Moore of the home; a daughter, Barbara Knight of Spring Lake; three sisters, Virginia Brientenstine of Clinton, Ohio, Dolly Howell of Wooster, Ohio, and Bessie Gerber of Orville, Ohio; a brother, Willard Shane of Wooster; and a granddaughter.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Village Presbyterian Church, 5303 Spruce Drive, Fayetteville, N.C.

Elzie J. Walters

LUMBERTON -- Elzie Jay Walters, 70, of 526 Linwood Ave. died Thursday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

Arrangements will be announced by Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.

Arnold L. Baker Sr.

LUMBERTON -- Arnold L. Baker Sr., 76, of Turner Park, Lot 62, died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Zionwall Freewill Baptist Church in Chadbourn by elder Allen Livingston. Arrangements are being handled by D & A Funeral Service.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Evelyn Baker of Chadbourn; four sons, David Baker, Arnold Baker Jr. and Oneil Baker, all of Chadbourn, and Ronnie Frink of Wilmington; and a sister, Daisy McCray of Philadelphia.

Ms. Mary McPhatter
(Dated Friday, Feb. 12, 1999)
WAGRAM -- Ms. Mary McPhatter, 75, of 24081 Nazareth Church St. died Wednesday in Century Care of Laurinburg.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Spring Branch Baptist Church by the Revs. Letaz Jones Sr. and John Daniels. Burial will be in Nazareth Church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Morris Funeral Home.

Ms. McPhatter is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Everett A. Ingram Sr.

BEAUFORT -- Everett A. Ingram Sr., 79, of Beaufort died Wednesday in Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Munden Funeral Home and Crematory chapel in Morehead City by the Rev. Carol Hansley. Burial will be in Carteret Memorial Gardens.

Among Mr. Ingram’s survivors is a daughter, Jean Berridge of Fayetteville.

Edmond Jones Jr.

RAEFORD -- Edmond Jones Jr., 47, of 228 Maxwell St. died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church by Brother Sherman Brooks. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Red Springs.

Mr. Jones is survived by two daughters, Alisha Maynor and LaShonda Maynor, both of Raeford; his father, Edmond Jones Sr. of Raeford; two brothers, John W. Brown and Willie E. Jones, both of Raeford; and a sister, Cynthia Murray of Raeford.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Butler’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Annie B. Faison

CLINTON -- Mrs. Annie B. Faison, 91, of 120 Southwood Drive died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Morning Star Holiness Church by elder Lloyd Butler. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Faison is survived by a son, James Faison Jr. of Clinton; a sister, Annie Bryant of Clinton; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 6 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home.

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Weldon Meares, 70, of Elizabethtown died Wednesday in his home.

Mr. Meares is survived by two daughters, Kathy Maynor of Fayetteville and Barbara Bedsole of White Oak; a son, Andy Meares of White Oak; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ada S. Johnson

WARRENTON -- Mrs. Ada S. Johnson, 91, of Warrenton died Thursday in Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Snow Hill Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Albert Watson. Arrangements are being handled by R.H. Greene Funeral Home.

Among Mrs. Johnson’s survivors is a daughter, Melba J. King of Fayetteville.

Mrs. Perciles F. Love, 78, of 754 Marsh St., Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Wiseman Mortuary chapel by the Rev. Michael Fuller. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.

Mrs. Love is survived by three sons, Frank H. Love of Columbia, S.C., Isiah Love Jr. of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Dexton Fuller of New Jersey; two daughters, Thelma Pope of Fayetteville and Mary R. Evans of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Elmer Fuller of Pontiac, Mich.; three sisters, Eva McLaurin of Fayetteville, Mimmie Robinson of Pontiac and Alice Brown of Silver Springs, Md.; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Florence B. Ashley

Mrs. Florence Beverly Ashley, 82, of Fayetteville died Tuesday in Columbia Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Ashley was a homemaker.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Waters Funeral Home chapel in Summersville, W.Va., by the Rev. Loretta Taylor. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel cemetery in Mount Nebo, W.Va.

Mrs. Ashley is survived by two daughters, Virginia A. Bess of Fayetteville and Mary F. Gill of Oak Hill; a son, Roy E. Ashley of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, James Beverly of New York; a sister, Juanita Taylor of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Macie D. Cole

Mrs. Macie Deaver Cole, 84, of Fayetteville died Thursday in Carrolton of Fayetteville.

Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband, Bernette L. Cole of Fayetteville; and two sisters, Carrie Weckerlie of Fayetteville and Viola Quick of Dillon, S.C.
