LAURINBURG -- Frederick Frazier DuRant Jr., 82, of 12121 Cypress Drive died Wednesday in his home.
Mr. DuRant was the owner and operator of DuRant Jewelers. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Lawrence B. Coleman. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
Mr. DuRant is survived by three daughters, Carol Cooper and Penny Gibson, both of Laurinburg, and Susan Hoffman of Fuquay-Varina; two sons, Frederick F. ‘‘Rick’’ DuRant III of Lancaster, S.C., and Jeffrey DuRant of Laurinburg; a sister, Marjorie Coughenour of Laurinburg; a brother, Bill DuRant of Laurinburg; and eight grandchildren.

WADE -- George Durant of Wade died Thursday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Arrangements will be announced by Tucker & Sons Funeral Home.
Donald B. Cameron Sr. (Dated Friday, July 9, 1999)
RAEFORD -- Donald Bennett Cameron Sr., 71, of 1011 N. Fulton St. died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mr. Cameron was an associate with Upchurch Milling Co. He was a dealer with Western Auto Store in Aberdeen.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Raeford Cemetery by the Revs. Richard Vaughn and Max Gilmore.
Mr. Cameron is survived by his wife, Elsie Cameron of Raeford; a son, Donald B. Cameron Jr. of Raeford; a daughter, Elizabeth Currin of Rolesville; two sisters, Marie Brown of Swansboro and Florence C. Weaver of Raeford; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight form 7 to 9 at Crumpler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jamie Butler (Dated Friday, July 9, 1999)
RAEFORD -- Mrs. Jamie Butler, 23, of Raeford died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m. today in Division South Chapel on Fort Bragg by Chaplain Baccich. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband, Ryan K. Butler of the home; and a daughter, Brianna Butler of the home.

Lonnie Martine Burney Jr., 75, of 2727 McFayden Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in LaFayette Memorial Park by Dr. David W. Crocker and the Rev. Sandy Saunders. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
Mr. Burney is survived by two sisters, Betty Spencer of Rockville, Md., and Frances Huer of Tawanda, N.Y.

Mr. Brown is survived by a brother, Ray Brown of Trinity, N.C.

Mrs. Willie Mae Beal, 89, of 2014 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville, died July 2 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in New Zion Holiness Church by Bishop Eugene Davis. Burial will be in Mount Zion AME Zion Church cemetery in Red Springs.
Mrs. Beal is survived by a daughter, Carrie Morrison of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a brother, John Q. Murphy of Philadelphia.

Retired Army Sgt. Maj. Zenon A. Komorski, 71, of Fayetteville died Friday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Komorski was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Komorski is survived by his wife, Gilda V. Komorski; a son, Andre Z. Komorski of Hickory; a daughter, Galinda Barefoot of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren.

Abner Jr. of Vander, Daniel M. Abner of Eastover and Ronald L. Abner of Smithfield; two sisters, Edna Elmore of Fayetteville and Rose Peterson of Stedman; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
