The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Baptist Chapel Church by the Rev. Allen Roberts. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In addition to her mother, Michaela is survived by her grandmother, Martha S. Fincher of LaGrange, Ga.; her grandfather, Eddie O. Honeycutt of Fayetteville; and her great-grandmother, Iona Honeycutt of Autryville.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Cumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Chapel Church, 2256 Baptist Chapel Road, Autryville, N.C. 28318.

Mrs. Esther S. Hall

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Mrs. Esther S. Hall, 78, of Elizabethtown died Monday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mrs. Hall was a member of Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kinlaw Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. David Wade. Burial will be in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Neal A. Hall of Wilmington; a daughter, Carolyn R. Freeman of Greenville, S.C.; a son, E. Hunter Rayfield of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Wilbur ‘‘Bill’’ Shaw of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home.

FAIRMONT -- Oree Grissett, 72, of 121 Howard Circle died Monday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Wayne Baxley. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Grissett is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Grissett of the home; eight sons, Ernest Soles of Greensboro, Willie Grissett, Earl Grissett, Nathaniel Grissett, Nelson Grissett, Jimmy Grissett, Dennis Grissett, Larry Grissett and Kenneth Grissett, all of Fairmont; six daughters, Betty Kitt and Gladys Gregg, both of the home, Ophelia Kinlaw of Conway, S.C., Marylin Bethea of Lumberton and Sheila Grissett and Chriscilla Grissett, both of Fairmont; two brothers, L.D. Grissett of Charlotte and J.G. Grissett of Tabor City; and two sisters, Geneva Bellamy of Marietta and Elain Dewitt of Conway.

The public will be received today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home.

Ms. Minnie H. Davis

LUMBERTON -- Ms. Minnie Hayes Davis, 93, of 1555 Willis Ave. died Tuesday in Beverly Health Care.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hyde Park Baptist Church by the Revs. Dennis Harrell and LeRoy Burke. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Ms. Davis is survived by a daughter, Shirley Wilkins of Bladenboro; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.

RAEFORD -- Robert D. Turbeville, 67, of 803 Blue Road died Tuesday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Crumpler Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. David McGugan. Burial will be in Raeford Cemetery.

Mr. Turbeville is survived by his wife, Bennie D. Turbeville of Raeford; three daughters, Linda T. Odom and Pat T. Nicholson, both of Raleigh, and Debbie T. Finley of Fayetteville; a brother, Bill Turbeville of Rex, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

McQueen of Wagram; two brothers, Willie Brown of Wagram and James Brown of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Hattie B. Davis of Wagram and Annie Russell of New York; and 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Barefoot is survived by a daughter, Rhodfan Rain of Dunn; two sons, William T. Barefoot of Four Oaks and Trevy L. Barefoot of Dunn; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Ivory W. Brantley Sr., 82, of Route 1, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Brantley is survived by a brother, Woodrow Brantley of Kansas City, Kan.; and a sister, Florida Brantley of Durham.

Mrs. Ola M. Tyson (dated Friday, July 16, 1999)

RALEIGH -- Mrs. Ola Monroe Tyson, 83, of Raleigh, formerly of Scotland County, died Monday.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Morris Funeral Home chapel in Laurinburg by the Rev. Robert Council. Burial will be in McNair Cemetery in Wagram.

Mrs. Tyson is survived by two daughters, Daisy Tyson and Brenda Covington, both of Raleigh; six sisters, Mattie Jones, Gussie Bogan, Lucy Robinson and Carrie Barnes, all of Southern Pines, Elizabeth Taylor of Raleigh and Connie Purvis of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bill Scott Sr. (dated Friday, July 16, 1999)

LUMBERTON -- Bill Scott Sr., 59, of 4810 Oakgrove Church Road died Tuesday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Oakgrove Holiness Church by the Revs. Grover Oxendine and Kelvin Oxendine. Burial will be in Oxendine Cemetery.

Mr. Scott is survived by three sons, Bill Scott Jr. and Keith A. Scott, both of Lumberton, and James Oxendine of Pembroke; three daughters, Annie R. Khan, Estella Woodell and Joyce Oxendine, all of Lumberton; seven brothers, John A. Scott of St. Pauls, Robert W. Scott of Fredericksburg, Va., Michael Scott of Lumberton and Earl Scott, Delton R. Scott, Charlie Scott and Thomas Scott, all of Pembroke; seven sisters, Sarah J. Revels of Shannon, Wanda M. Scott of Lumberton and Winnie Locklear, Annettie Scott, Nancy Bullard, Betty Bullard and Veronica Scott, all of Pembroke; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight beginning at 7 at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Pembroke.

Ms. Betty L. Parker (dated Friday, July 16, 1999)

FUQUAY-VARINA -- Ms. Betty Lou Parker, 68, of 5028 Westminister Lane, formerly of Raeford, died Tuesday in Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

Ms. Parker was a member of Pittman Grove Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pittman Grove Baptist Church in Rockfish by the Rev. Frank Garrison. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

Ms. Parker is survived by two daughters, Deborah Stewart of Fayetteville and Linda Gill of Fuquay-Varina; two sons, Rickey Parker of Gordonsville, Va., and Dale Parker of Hope Mills; her father, Jesse W. McDuffie of Red Springs; a sister, Ava G. Britt of Raeford; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7:30 to 9:30 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Miss Irene Page (dated Friday, July 16, 1999)

WILLINGBORO, N.J. -- Miss Irene Page, 65, of Willingboro, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Sunday.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wiseman Mortuary chapel in Fayetteville by the Rev. John Bell. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4 in Fayetteville.

Miss Page is survived by two daughters, Doris L. Helwig of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Glenda F. Rose of New Jersey; a brother, Monroe Page of Portsmith; a sister, Mary Ray of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
