A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Tom Willoughby.

Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Doris G. Price of the home; two daughters, Becky Price of Conway, S.C.; and two sisters, Donna Gasque of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Linda Jordan of Galonts, S.C.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Calvin C. Parker

DUNN -- Calvin Coolidge Parker, 73, of 1101 Greenfield Drive died Thursday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Beulah Baptist Church by the Revs. C.H. Lee and Leon Tart. Burial will be in McLamb Cemetery in Benson. Arrangements are being handled by Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Earline Tart of Dunn; a son, J.C. Parker of Surf City; a daughter, Glenda P. West of Dunn; a brother, Gary L. Parker of Fayetteville; three sisters, Bertha Hester of Fayetteville, Eula Jackson of St. Pauls and Dehlia Owens of Lumberton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jew Odom

CLINTON -- Mrs. Jew Odom of 6764 Hobbton Highway died Friday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Odom was a member of Keener United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Keener United Methodist Church by the Rev. Tom Supplee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home

Mrs. Odom is survived by her husband, William ‘‘Bill’’ Odom of Clinton; a daughter, Laura H. Daughtry of Clinton; a sister, Loraine West of Suffolk, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Keener United Methodist Church cemetery fund, attention Ann Hobbs, 4750 Hobbton Highway, Clinton, N.C. 28328.

Clarence Monroe, 61, of 7219 Spotted Fawn Road, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Paye Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel.

DUNN -- D.A. McLamb, 67, of 920 Wise Road died Saturday.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. C.H. Lee. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.

Mr. McLamb is survived by his wife, Mary J. McLamb; two daughters, Teresa D. Blackman and Debbie L. Jones, both of Dunn; two sons, Charles A. McLamb and Danny W. McLamb, both of Dunn; a sister, Mrs. James J. Wood of Dunn; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Benson.

Miss Lucy McCoy

CLINTON -- Miss Lucy McCoy, 72, of 120 Southwood Drive died Friday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Butler & Son Funeral Home in Roseboro by Pastor Rosa Allen. Burial will be in Roseboro Cemetery.

Miss McCoy is survived by two sisters, Penny Rich and Doris Kelly, both of Clinton; and a brother, Willie McCoy of Clinton.

The public will be received today from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at the home of Doris Kelly, 1725 Boone Road, Clinton.Cooper Logan FAIRMONT -- Cooper Logan, 83, of 2230 Reserve Road died Thursday in St. Eugene Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. today in Kingdom Hall by Brothers Frank Lennon and Dana Caldwell. Arrangements are being handled by Community Funeral Home.

Mr. Logan is survived by his wife, Bessie E. Logan of the home; two daughters, Barbara L. Campbell of Columbia, Tenn., and Patricia L. Gentry of Fairmont; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

James E. Lamm

HOPE MILLS -- James Earl Lamm, 71, of 5943 Rehobeth Road died Saturday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Arrangements will be announced by Reeves Funeral Home.

Ms. Betty S. Johnson

LAURINBURG -- Ms. Betty Street Johnson, 76, of 707 Morrison Lane died Friday in Vencor Hospital in Greensboro.

Ms. Johnson was an assistant associate professor of sociology at St. Andrews Presbyterian College. She owned and operated The Book Inn book store.

The funeral will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Wil I. Jackson. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.

Ms. Johnson is survived by a daughter, Jan Sykes of Concord; three sons, Joe Johnson Jr. of Charlotte, David Johnson of Cary and John Johnson of Laurinburg; a sister, Frances Hamly of Greensboro; a brother, Marion W. Street Jr. of Savannah. Ga.; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 101 W. Church St., Laurinburg, N.C. 28352; or to Scotland County Literacy Council, 213 W. Cronly St., Laurinburg, N.C. 28352.

Lonnie E. Horne

Lonnie Edmond Horne, 57, of 2721 Clinton Road, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Burial will be in Lonnie Horne Cemetery.

Mr. Horne is survived by his wife, Helen J. Horne; three daughters, Neva A. Jackson, Rita C. Horne and Mary H. Simmons, all of Fayetteville; three sons, Lonnie D. Horne, Tracy L. Horne and Marion S. Horne, all of Fayetteville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burnis B. Horne of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jimmy B. Horne and Johnny L. Horne, both of Fayetteville; and 13 grandchildren.

Robert Hopkins Sr.

Robert Hopkins Sr., 56, of 429 Cabrini Court, Fayetteville, died Monday in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Gospel Baptist Church by Pastor James Johnson. Burial will be in Baptist Union Church cemetery in Hope Mills.

Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife, Ruth Hopkins of the home; a son, Robert Hopkins Jr. of Fayetteville; three daughters, Kimberly Hopkins and Beverly Murphy, both of Hope Mills, and Paulette Parks of Fayetteville; a brother, Henry Jackson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five sisters, Rosemary Johnson of Clearwater, Fla., Vera Taylor of Mount Dora, Fla., and Juanita Facyson, Tonya Jackson and Maggie Jackson, all of St. Petersburg; and six grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 7 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Dr. Josephine C. Holcomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Dr. Josephine Chandler Holcomb of Nashville, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Wednesday.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by Roesch-Patton, Austin, Bracey & Charlton Funeral Home.

Dr. Holcomb is survived by three daughters, Valerie H. Warriner of Herndon, Va., Glenda H. Anderson of Nashville and Diane H. Raine of Salisbury, Md.; two brothers, Dr. Gary Chandler of Shelby, N.C., and Mark D. Chandler of Monroe, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.

Charlie J. Hayes

GASTONIA -- Charlie Jasper Hayes, 81, of 1737 S. Linwood Drive, formerly of St. Pauls, died Friday in his home.

Mr. Hayes was a retired carpenter.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Saint Pauls Funeral Home Wallace Chapel by the Rev. Roy Ivey.

Mr. Hayes is survived by two sons, David Hayes of Gastonia and Roy L. Ivey of York, S.C.; four daughters, Lillie M. Mickler of Morganton, Ann Havemann and Ethelene Panapa, both of Fayetteville, and Myrtle Cribb of St. Pauls; a brother, Howard Hayes of Fayetteville; three sisters, Blanche Lovette and Dora Berry, both of Fayetteville, and Ilar Anderson of Parkton; 29 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ailene Kinlaw, 502 S. Butler St., St. Pauls.

Miss Carol A. Glazebrook

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Miss Carol Ann Glazebrook, 43, of Kingman, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Thursday. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in C & Adams Street Church of God in Fayetteville by the Revs. Stanford Roberts and Kenny Hollingsworth. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville. Arrangements are being handled by Highland Funeral Service & Crematory of Fayetteville.

Miss Glazebrook is survived by a son, Phillip Glazebrook of Milwaukee; her mother, Lorraine Glazebrook of Milwaukee; two brothers, Lee Glazebrook of Burlington, N.C., and Joe Glazebrook of Kingman; and two sisters, Lynda Orvis of Milwaukee and Diane Garner of Burlington.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Ann Ruegsegger, 215 Hopedale St., Fayetteville.

Hedrick Deese

ROWLAND -- Hedrick Deese, 69, of 2142 Cabinet Shop Road died Friday in his home.

Mr. Deese was a member of Mount Hebron Holiness Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Mount Hebron Holiness Church by the Revs. David Hunt and Johnny Chavis. Burial will be in the Deese family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Revels Funeral Home of Pembroke.

Mr. Deese is survived by a son, Douglas R. Deese of Rowland; a daughter, Clarissa Deese of Rowland; three brothers, Donald Deese and John G. Deese, both of Rowland, and William Deese of Greensboro; four sisters, LaStella Oxendine, Rosa White and Louise Oxendine, all of Rowland, and Frances Lowry of Michigan; and two grandsons.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the church.

Brian E. Coler

LUMBERTON -- Brian Everett Coler, infant son of Jason Coler and Paula A. Scott, of 311 Bowman Road, died Thursday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in New Point Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Randall Strickland.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by a brother, Brandon L. Jacobs of the home; his maternal grandparents, David P. and Annie N. Scott of Lumberton; his paternal grandfather, Everett J. Coler of Caldwell, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Diane L. Sandoval of Lumberton; his maternal great-grandparents, Dalla M. Oxendine and Voila Hunt, both of Lumberton; and his paternal great-grandparents, James E. and Patsy L. Coler of Plant City, Fla., and Ellare B. Jackson of Corpus Christi, Texas.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory.

Destiny Chavis

Destiny Chavis, infant daughter of Anita and Sean Chavis, of 812 Deep Creek Road, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Gospel Baptist Church by the Rev. James Johnson. Burial will be in Rockfish Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Paye Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Destiny is survived by two sisters, Allyiah Gaddy and Veorroni Smith, both of the home; three brothers, DeSean Chavis, Shawn Chavis and Robert Roundtree III, all of the home; her maternal grandparents, Joey and Patricia Smith of Fayetteville; her paternal grandparents, Willie and Laverne Adams of Fayetteville; her maternal great-grandparents, Theodist and Carrie Gaddy of Bunnlevel; her paternal great-grandmother, Lucy Adams of Fayetteville; and her maternal great-great-grandmother, Martha Morrison of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends at the home.
