The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home chapel in Lillington by the Rev. Pannie Smith. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park.

Mrs. Holleman is survived by two daughters, Fannie Haydon of Raleigh and Doris H. Keith of Hope Mills; two sons, Charles ‘‘Tommy’’ Holleman of Baltimore and Art ‘‘Phillip’’ Holleman of Autryville; two sisters, Ruby Moore of Garner and Pansy Harrison of Raleigh; a brother, Linwood Lowery of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Iula ‘Ann’ Freeman

HOPE MILLS -- Mrs. Iula Strickland ‘‘Ann’’ Freeman, 62, of 5719-D Franklin St. died Saturday in her home.

Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Cumberland Baptist Church by the Revs. Roy Chason and Ken Pritchard. Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband, Roland Freeman; a daughter, Denise Luera of Fayetteville; a son, Michael Freeman of Parkton; a brother, Sam Strickland of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 Reeves Funeral Home.

Mrs. Leona E. Coleman, 89, of 1616 Murchison Road, Fayetteville, died Monday in Village Green Health Care Center.

Kenneth H. Stephenson

(dated Tuesday, April 27, 1999)
BENSON -- Kenneth Hugh Stephenson, 62, of 12623 N.C. 210 died Monday in his home.

Mr. Stephenson was a farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Steve Morris. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Stephenson is survived by five daughters, Kelli S. Wall of Wilson Mills, Johnnie S. Heath of Four Oaks, Kimberly D. Stephenson and Rebecca S. Petit, both of Benson, and Judith S. Rollins of Rocky Mount; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home.

Earl G. Butler

(dated Tuesday, April 27, 1999)
CLINTON -- Earl Geddie Butler, 84, of 5215 Five Bridge Road died Sunday in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Mr. Butler was a farmer before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a district supervisor for Sampson County Soil and Water Conservation Board for 27 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church by Dr. Homer Morris. Burial will be in Clinton City Cemetery.

Mr. Butler is survived by his wife, Loraine V. Butler of Clinton; a daughter, Katherine B. Barkin of Clayton; two sons, Joseph Butler of Clinton and Bennie Butler of Raleigh; a sister, Mary K. Butler of Clinton; a brother, Stacy ‘‘Red’’ Butler of Clinton; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Cumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson St., Clinton, N.C. 28328.

Mrs. Inez Moore

(dated Tuesday, April 27, 1999)
ROSEBORO -- Mrs. Inez Moore, 78, of 409 Pearl St. died Saturday in her home.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Jessie Smith. Burial will be in Roseboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Joyce Owens of Roseboro and Ruby Thomas; two sons, Richard Thomas of Roseboro and Andrew Thomas Jr.; four stepdaughters, Pearlene Melvin of Greensboro, Anna King of White Plains, N.Y., and Marie Rich and Mary Thomas, both of Roseboro; and two brothers, Agent Rich and Osie Rich, both of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Butler & Son Funeral Home.

NAKINA -- Ms. Lillie Penny Halks, 81, of Nakina died Sunday in Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Ward Cemetery in Charlotte.

Ms. Halks is survived by two sons, Mack J. Ward and Grover S. Halks, both of Whiteville; and four grandchildren.

Albert McLean

LAURINBURG -- Albert McLean, 59, of 519 Kingsdale Drive died Friday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Union Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. George T. Ellis. Burial will be in Robinson Chapel cemetery in Laurel Hill. Arrangements are being handled by Morris Funeral Home.

Mr. McLean is survived by his wife, Helen McLean of the home; five daughters, Veverly Matthews of Laurinburg, Sheila Burnette of Buffalo, N.Y., and Denise McLean, Alverna Stewart and Dorothy McLean, all of Laurinburg; three brothers, David McLean Jr. of Bronx, N.Y., and James McLean and Richard McLean, both of Laurel Hill; six sisters, Mamie Jones of Laurinburg and Thelma Dockery, Eula Cotton, Peggy McNeil, Sarah McMillan and Sharon McLean, all of Laurel Hill; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in LaFayette Memorial Park by the Rev. David Crumpler.

Mr. Raynor is survived by his wife, Marie Raynor of the home; a daughter, Dawn Barber of Carthage; a son, Stephen K. Raynor of Blythewood, S.C.; a sister, Arcene Berzaal of Salt Lake City; and a grandson.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spearman is survived by two daughters, the Rev. Florence Brown and Shirley Johnson, both of Bolton; and three sons, John P. Spearman and Norman J. Spearman, both of Bolton, and Henry L. Spearman of Freeport, N.Y.
