NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Mrs. Kate Lizzie Preslar White, 76, of 4 Dean Ray Court, Lot 84, formerly of Stedman, N.C., died Wednesday in Riverside Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, N.C., by the Rev. Andy Wood. Burial will be in Autry-McAlpin Cemetery in Stedman.
Mrs. White is survived by four sons, Arizona White of Hampton and Gene White, Thomas White and David White, all of Newport News; two sisters, Beatrice Perry of Polkton, N.C., and Ruth Sloan of Charlotte, N.C.; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Alexander Torres (dated Thursday, July 15, 1999)
Alexander Torres, 28, of 127-N Treetop Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
Mr. Torres is survived by his mother, Rosa Torres of Puerto Rico; two brothers, Joshua W. Torres of Puerto Rico and Luis Matos of Bronx, N.Y.; three sisters, Rosalyn Lugo of Baton Route, La., Nilsa E. Lugo of Fayetteville and Melissa Lugo of Bronx; and his maternal grandmother, Carmen M. Rentas of Puerto Rico.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jamie Woodrow Stone, 85, of 1931 Pelham Road, formerly of Laurinburg, N.C., died July 7 in Greenville Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Bethel United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Dunbar Funeral Home.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Genevieve S. Stone; two sons, Jamie W. Stone Jr. of Gainesville, Fla., and Jeffrey S. Stone of Greenville; a brother, David Stone of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sisters, Ida Howard of Hampton, Va., and Elsie Bell and Katherine Horton, both of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.
Donald E. St. Louis (dated Thursday, July 15, 1999)
Retired Army Staff Sgt. Donald Earl St. Louis, 67, of 904 Sunbury Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mr. St. Louis was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the Korean War. He retired from the Army after 20 years.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Mr. St. Louis is survived by his wife, Masako M. St. Louis of the home; two sons, Paul St. Louis of New York and Gary St. Louis of California; a stepson, Lewis Ollstedt of Fayetteville; two brothers, Neil St. Louis of Scotia, N.Y., and Bill St. Louis of Fayetteville; a sister, Wendy St. Louis of Florida; and a grandchild.

FUQUAY-VARINA -- Ms. Betty Lou Parker, 68, of 5028 Westminister Lane, formerly of Raeford, died Tuesday in Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

NEWTON GROVE -- Bruddie C. Murphy, 94, of 4323 Roanoke Road died Tuesday.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hopewell United Methodist Church by Dr. Dennis Sheppard. Burial will be in Hopewell Church cemetery.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Inez S. Murphy; a son, Bennie Murphy of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Julia Raynor, Elsie Johnson and Betty Raynor, all of Newton Grove; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

SANFORD -- John Bayliss McCurry, 79, of 1330 Michigan Blvd. died Wednesday in Central Carolina Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Elinos Whitlock. Burial will be in Magnolia, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
Mr. McCurry is survived by his wife, Nancy E. McCurry; two sons, Alexander McCurry of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and George McCurry of Sanford; two daughters, Sarah S. Smith of Elyria, Ohio, and Peggy L. Wray of Battle Creek, Mich.; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. McClellan is survived by her husband, Lawless E. McClellan of Fayetteville; two sons, Michael Gordy of Glen Burnie, Md., and Mark Gordy of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Michelle Wysham of Paradise, Calif.; three sisters, Myrtle Livingston, Audrey Suggs and Pait Bragg, all of White Oak; two brothers, Halford Suggs of White Oak and William Suggs of Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. McCall is survived by his mother, Ella McCall of Dunn; three sisters, Betty R. Sanders and Catherine McNeill, both of Erwin, and Costella McKoy of Washington, D.C.; and two brothers, James McCall of Dunn and Raymond McCall of Erwin.

LUMBERTON -- Ms. Sherri C. Locklear, 45, of 7-B Jingle Drive died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Locklear is survived by her husband, Luther Locklear Jr. of Lumberton; a son, James R. Locklear of the home; a daughter, Melissa Clark of Shannon; five brothers, Dwayne Cummings of Lumberton, David J. Cummings of Rockville, Md., and Troy Cummings, Gabriel Cummings and Carl Oxendine, all of Pembroke; three sisters, Deloris Cummings and Gwendolyn Locklear, both of Pembroke, and Annette Jones of Lumberton; and a grandson.

RALEIGH -- Bobby Z. Kennedy, 67, of Raleigh, formerly of Bunnlevel, died Wednesday in his home.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Flat Branch Presbyterian Church in Bunnlevel by the Rev. Bertrand Pitchford. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Betty P. Kennedy of the home; two daughters, Betty K. Temple of Bunnlevel and Karen K. Moore of Mamers; a son, Phillip Kennedy of Lillington; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Wade of Raleigh; a stepson, Michael Johnson of Raleigh; four sisters, Nora Austin of Raleigh, Gladys Terry of Knightdale and Hazel Kahl and Joann Militti, both of Swansboro; five grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

James Archie Johnson Jr., 68, of 3310 Braddy Road, Fayetteville, died Monday.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Galatia Presbyterian Church. He worked for Fayetteville Publishing Co. for 46 years before retiring. He worked for Taylor Oils and Holt Oil companys. Mr. Johnson was an Army veteran.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Galatia Presbyterian Church by Dr. Gene Miller. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Lydia B. Johnson of the home; three sons, Lynwood Johnson of Orlando, Fla., Eugene Johnson of Fayetteville and John Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Diane Johnson of Fayetteville; a brother, Gene S. Johnson of LaGrange, Ind.; a sister, Wayne Melvin of Tobaccoville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
