LUMBERTON -- Ms. Florence Walters Britt, 65, of 8486 N.C. 72 East died Friday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Ms. Britt was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Long Branch Baptist Church by the Revs. Ronald Long and Richard Whitley. Burial will be in the Walters family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Floyd Mortuary & Crematory.
Ms. Britt is survived by a daughter, Vickie B. Madden of the home; a brother, L.E. Walters of Lumberton; three sisters, Doris Long of Wilmington and Vera Snipes and Ida Mayes, both of Lumberton; and a grandson.
Fay Y. Beard (dated Sunday, August 15, 1999)
Ms. Fay Yacyk Beard, 84, of Fayetteville died Friday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Ms. Beard was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Cedar Creek Baptist Church by the Revs. Horace Barefoot and Roger Jackson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Beard is survived by a sister, Anna Plata of Eddystone, Pa.; and four brothers, William Yacyk of Millsboro, Del., Andrew Yacyk of Chester, Pa., Peter Yacyk of Ewing, N.J., and Nicholas Yacyk of Rehoboth Beach, Del.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church parking lot fund and memorial prayer garden.
Annie B. Anderson (dated Sunday, August 15, 1999)
HAMLET -- Mrs. Annie Bristow Anderson, 84, of Hamlet died Friday in Britthaven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Harrington Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Robert E. Land and David Lee. Burial will be in Richmond Memorial Park.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Anderson of Dallas, Mayna A. Diggs of Sanford and Glenda Krejanovsky of Herndon, Va.; a son, Robert Anderson of Camarillo, Calif.; a brother, Charlie F. Bristow of Laurel Hill; a sister, Margaret B. West of Maxton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Sarah Williamson, 406 Poplar St., Hamlet.
Geneva R. Hayes

CHADBOURN -- Mrs. Geneva Rhodes Hayes, 73, of Peacock Road died Wednesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by the Revs. Ricky Donaldson and Richard Poynor. Burial will be in Columbus Memorial Park in Whiteville.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by a daughter, Judy H. Prince of Chadbourn; a son, John F. Hayes of Chadbourn; a brother, Arnold Rhodes of Wilmington; a sister, Newell R. Etheridge of Whiteville; and a granddaughter.

Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles S. Seiler, 76, of 360 Sawtooth Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Seiler was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Adcock Funeral Home chapel in Spring Lake by Chaplain Charles Coleman. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Seiler is survived by a daughter, Vicky L. Kelly of Newport News, Va.; two sons, Henry A. Seiler of Goldsboro and W. Scott Seiler of Fayetteville; a sister, Ruth S. Beard of Lebanon, Penn.; and two grandsons.

PINEHURST -- Mrs. Julia Ann Giffin, 73, of 105 Pinyon Circle died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Giffin was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. She formerly worked for Erie Railroad.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Giffin is survived by her husband, Clarence M. Giffin of Pinehurst; three sons, David C. Giffin of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Douglas K. Giffin of St. Augustine, Fla., and James R. Giffin of Cleveland; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Grimes is survived by two daughters, Doris Grimes and Carolyn Council, both of Tar Heel; four sons, William Grimes and Jerry Grimes, both of Tar Heel, Donnie Grimes of Avornie, Va., and Horace Grimes of New York; a sister, Kina Richardson of Petersburg, Va.; 25 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

William A. Bryant

Mr. Bryant was a manager for A&P before retiring. He was a member of Creasy Proctor Lodge and Highland Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Highland Baptist Church by the Rev. Garry Ballance. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Wenona A. Bryant of Hope Mills; a son, William A. Bryant Jr. of Hope Mills; two sisters, Alma B. Coakley of Palm Bay, Fla., and Uretha B. Meeks of Stoughton, Mass.; a brother, Alston T. Bryant Sr. of Carolina Beach; and a grandson.
