HAMLET -- Ms. Julia Harrington, 79, of 200 Rose St. died Monday in Hamlet Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Friendship Baptist Church by Dr. Terry L. Streater. Burial will be in Dobbins Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Harrington is survived by four sons, Lee A. McRae of Griffin, Ga., Walter Harrington of Los Angeles, William Harrington of Hamlet and James Harrington of Dale City, Va.; a daughter, Odessa Gamble of Los Angeles; three sisters, Lula Carloch and Lois Parker, both of Springfield, Mass., and Edna White of High Point; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The public will be received today from noon to 8 p.m. at Charles McNeill Funerals.
Shelton L. McCall

RED SPRINGS -- Shelton L. McCall, 67, of 252 Effie Jane Road died Tuesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Sherman Brooks. Burial will be in Center Grove Church cemetery.
Mr. McCall is survived by three sons, Shelton L. McCall and Douglas E. McCall, both of New Jersey, and Jerome Stevens of New York; four daughters, Sheena L. Christian of New York, Ming Y. McCall and Tammy Sally, both of New Jersey, and Barbara Reagan of Raeford; seven sisters, Sally Austin, Estella McNeill and Beatrice McCollum, all of Raeford, and Ruth Gillespie, Willie L. McEachern, Essie McMillian and Montez Gillespie, all of Red Springs; and seven grandchildren.
The public will be received today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Doby Funeral Home.
Ester M. Brown

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. -- Mrs. Ester Mae Brown of District Heights, formerly of Sanford, N.C., died Saturday in Doctors Hospital in Lanham.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion AME Zion Church in Carthage, N.C., by the Rev. Leo McKoy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Watson Mortuary of Sanford.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Brown of District Heights; a son, Thomas Brown Jr. of District Heights; three daughters, Mary Brown, Gail Brown and Carolyn Randall, all of District Heights; three sisters, Alma Cameron and Betty McDougald, both of Sanford, and Lula Wooten of Carthage; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

SANFORD -- Ms. Julie M. Vogler, 19, of Sanford died Wednesday in Central Carolina Hospital.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in El Baville United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Sells.
Ms. Vogler is survived by her parents, William H. and Camillia O. Vogler of Sanford; three sisters, Kim Patterson of Broadway, Mary Key of Thomasville and Kris Vogler of Sanford; a brother, Jimmy Vogler of Cary; her paternal grandmother, Julia Vogler of Reidsville; and her maternal grandmother, Ruth Orrell of Siler City.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.
J. Reid Upchurch

BUIES CREEK -- J. Reid Upchurch, 81, of Buies Creek died Thursday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Buies Creek First Baptist Church by Dr. Michael Simmons. Burial will be in Buies Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Upchurch is survived by his wife, Alene B. Upchurch of the home; two daughters, Faye U. Sexton of Lillington and Ginny U. Herring of Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Teresa Enzor of Buies Creek; a stepson, Eddie Humphrey of Buies Creek; three sisters, Lucille Stinson of Fuquay-Varina and Grace Braswell and Pansy Beal, both of Durham; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home in Lillington and at other times at the home.
Marie H. Hamilton

Mrs. Marie Hyatt Hamilton, 67, of Fayetteville died Wednesday in Sunrise Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of C & Adams Street Church of God. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Cooper Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in C & Adams Street Church of God.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her husband, Colie Hamilton of Fayetteville; a daughter, Catherine Bramhill of Spring Lake; a son, David Hamilton of Fayetteville; a brother, J.W. Hyatt of Dillon, S.C.; two sisters, Mildred Freeman of Bennettsville, S.C. and Shirley Webster of Sumter, S.C.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

MAXTON -- Sebastain Cage Locklear, infant son of Tammy Locklear, of 5057 Red Hill Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Locklear family cemetery by Bobby J. Hunt. Arrangements are being handled by Thompson’s Funeral Home of Pembroke.
In addition to his mother, Sebastain is survived by two brothers, Franklin Locklear and Terry C. Kenworthy, both of Maxton; and his maternal grandparents, Harold L. and Gladys Locklear of Maxton.

Mr. Eady is survived by four sons, Walter G. Eady of Tusuwerdia, Ala., James L. Eady of Seaside, Calif., John Campbell of Fayetteville and Lt. Col. Walter B. Eady of Fairburn, Ohio; and a sister, Carolyn Abernathy of Tusuwerdia.

Mrs. Mary Parker Dawson, 91, of Heritage Place, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Integrated Health Services.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in St. John’s Episcopal Church by Dr. David Chamberlain and the Rev. James Taylor. A private committal service will be held at LaFayette Memorial Park Mausoleum at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Mrs. Dawson is survived by a son, Retired Army Col. Wallace H. ‘‘Bo’’ Dawson of Oak Island; two daughters, Sarah J. McLeod of Leavenworth, Kan., and Elizabeth A. Rhiddlover of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
