Stokes McAllister Jr., 52, of 4812 Neptune Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Church of God of Prophesy by the Rev. James Shepherd. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.

Mr. McAllister is survived by his wife, Pearlene McAllister of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Stokes McAllister III of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Moresa Caper of Jacksonville; a stepson, Alonozo Parrish of Jacksonville; a sister, Louise Shaw of Selma; a brother, the Rev. Floyd McAllister of Fayetteville; and nine grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary and at other times at 731 Maxine St., Fayetteville.

Mrs. Gretchen Felder (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

Mrs. Gretchen Felder, 50, of 245 Rosemary St., Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses by Elder Anderson. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4.

Mrs. Felder is survived by four daughters, Rita Kilfoil, Angela Felder, Sandy Felder and Marcia Felder, all of Fayetteville; two sons, Albert Felder Jr. and Michael Felder, both of Fayetteville; her mother, Dorothy Johnson of Fayetteville; four brothers, Willie Gaddie, Ernest Johnson, Harry Robinson and Dwayne Johnson, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Earlene Davis of Fayetteville; and 10 grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

Aaron ‘Buster’ Jenkins Jr. (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

SANFORD -- Aaron “Buster” Jenkins Jr., 67, of 931 Pickard Road died Thursday in Convalescent Center of Sanford.

Arrangements will be announced by Watson Mortuary.

Lawrence Jennings Jr. (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

SANFORD -- Lawrence Jennings Jr., 39, of Sanford, died Thursday in Sanford.

Arrangements will be announced by Watson Mortuary.

Louis E. Sparrock (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

ROSE HILL -- Louis E. Sparrock, 88, of 2232 Herring Road died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Allen Chapel AME Church by the Rev. McAfee Bannerman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sparrock is survived by his wife, Arletha Sparrock; three sons, Ernie Sparrock of Brooklyn, N.Y., Arnold Sparrock of Rose Hill and David Sparrock of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five daughters, Jean Brown of Rose Hill, Martha Davilla of El Paso, Texas, Mary Reese and Blanch Patton, both of Hempstead, N.Y., and Gertrude Brann of Washington, D.C.; a stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Taylor of Indianapolis, Ind.; 22 grandchildren; one step-grandson; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The public will be received today from noon to 5 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.

Mrs. Reba A. Jones (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

DUNN -- Mrs. Reba Aman Jones, 85, of 2699 Fayetteville Highway died Thursday in the Carrolton of Dunn nursing home.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Mingo Baptist Church by the Revs. Louis Strickland and W.H. Calcutt. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Skinner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones is survived by four brothers, Eddie R. Aman of Dunn, Isaac Aman of Wilmington, John Aman of Clayton and Willis Aman of Hendersonville; six sisters, Rena Barefoot, Pennie Gainey, Zilpha Barefoot and Dale Jackson, all of Dunn, Beth McLamb of Greensboro and Grace Gooden of Cary.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Mrs. Emma V. Green (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

CAMERON -- Mrs. Emma Velie Green, 87, of Convalescent Care nursing home in Lee County, formerly of Route 2, died Thursday in Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

Arrangements will be announced by Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake.

Ms. Katherine B. Whitlock (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

ABERDEEN -- Ms. Katherine Buchan Whitlock, 80, of 1201 N. Poplar died Friday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Arrangements will be announced by Powell Funeral Home of Southern Pines.

Kenneth Spence (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

SURF CITY -- Kenneth Spence, 69, of Surf City, formerly of Dunn died Friday in Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va.

Mrs. Julia F. DeBois (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

HOPE MILLS -- Ms. Julia Frances DeBois, 37, of Route 1, died Thursday.

Arrangements will be announced by Reeves Funeral Home.

Ms. Mary B. Britt (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

CLINTON -- Ms. Mary Blue Britt of 404 Powell St., died Friday in her home.

Arrangements will be announced by Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

Ms. Josephine Darden (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

CLINTON -- Ms. Josephine Darden of 617 McCullen Road died Friday in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Piney Grove Baptist Church in Faison by the Rev. Joel E. Story.

Mrs. Darden is survived by two daughters, Shirley D. Hargrove of Wilmington and Ola D. Daughtry of Clinton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Randy Cummings (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

LUMBERTON -- Randy Cummings, 39, of Fifth Street, died Thursday.

Mrs. Louise T. Rogers (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

SANFORD -- Mrs. Louise Thomas Rogers, 75, of 1015 Goldsboro Ave., died Friday in Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

She was a Sunday school teacher for 27 years and a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Morningside Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Betty Sherrod. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by a daughter, Brenda R. Osborne of Greensboro; two brothers, L.W. Thomas and Kenneth Thomas, both of Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Harvey L. Emanuel (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

LUMBERTON -- Harvey Lee Emanuel, 84, of Country Club Road died Friday in N.C. Cancer Institute.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bethel Hill Baptist Church by the Revs. Jimmy D. Hammonds and Albert Lowery. Burial will be in Bethel Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Emanuel is survived by a son, James Emanuel of McDonalds; four stepsons, James D. Hammonds of Maryland, and John D. Hammonds, Willie A. Hammonds and Glen Hammonds, all of Lumberton; a daughter, Margie Locklear of Lumberton; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jake Hagman and Mrs. Shadie Revels, both of Detroit; five brothers, Vester Emanuel and Quitman Emanuel, both of Shannon, Leslie Emanuel and Victor Emanuel, both of Lumberton, and Ellie Emanuel of St. Pauls; six sisters, Sally Burnett of Dunn, Maude Lawson of Hope Mills, Julie M. Hunt of St. Pauls, and Arletha Hammonds, Alese Blanks and Eva Locklear, all of Lumberton; and several grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory.

Mrs. Rosa Fennell (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

ST. PAULS -- Mrs. Rosa Fennell, 51, of 150 Community Road, died Thursday in Hope Retirement Home in Red Springs.

Arrangements will be announced by McKoy & Sons Mortuary.

Walter ‘Buck’ Sinclair (dated Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997)

Walter Lee “Buck” Sinclair, 40, of 5504 Cabot Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wiseman Mortuary chapel by Evangelist Ruby Verball. Burial will be in Mt. Hebrew Church cemetery.

Mr. Sinclair is survived by his wife, Erma J. Sinclair of Clinton; a son, June Sinclair of Clinton; three daughters, Lee A. Sinclair and Michelle Sinclair, both of Clinton and Christine Sinclair of Fayetteville; and four brothers, William Sinclair of Fayetteville, and June Sinclair, Alford Sinclair and John Sinclair, all of Richmond, Va.

The family will receive friends at 431 A Cedric St., Fayetteville. The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

William Hinson (dated Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997)

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- William Hinson of Washington, formerly of Rockingham, N.C., died Thursday in Washington.

Mrs. Maggie D. Johnson (dated Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997)

HAMLET -- Mrs. Maggie Downer Johnson of Hamlet died Saturday in Palmer Hinson Care Center.
