WHITEVILLE -- Justin Lamont Hill, 20, of 204 Stanley Circle died Sunday in Tabor City.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Henry Jones Jr. Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Peoples Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill is survived by his parents, Jeanette Hill and Willie Hamilton II, both of Philadelphia; a brother, Willie Hamilton Hill III of Philadelphia; a sister, Ivy N. Hill of Philadelphia; his maternal grandfather, David Hill of Whiteville; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Willie Hamilton of Philadelphia.
Mrs. Louise W. White (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
WHITEVILLE -- Mrs. Louise W. White, 81, of 47 Pleasant Hill Road died Thursday in Columbus County Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in First St. Paul Baptist Church by the Rev. H.V. Williams. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Memorial Garden in Chadbourn. Arrangements are being handled by Peoples Funeral Home.
Mrs. White is survived by two daughters, Flora L. White of the home and Vera Alston of Durham; and a sister, Gertrude Maultsby of Whiteville.
Mrs. Hagar Russ (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
COUNCIL -- Mrs. Hagar Russ, 81, of 483 Cord Road died Friday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Leon McNair (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
PHILADELPHIA -- Leon McNair, 41, of Philadelphia, formerly of Whiteville, N.C., died Wednesday.
Arrangements will be announced by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.
Ivan J. Krall (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
SEVEN LAKES -- Ivan John Krall, 75, of Seven Lakes died Friday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
He was a mechanical and electrical engineer and a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Krall was a volunteer in R.S.V.P. in Moore County, worked with the Literacy Council and Moore County Habitat for Humanity and was a former member of the Moore County road naming project.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in West End Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Charles Hinson. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Krall is survived by his wife, Gene Krall; a son, James J. Krall of Westlake, Ohio; a daughter, Patty Hendrix of Marietta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

W. Preston Butts Sr. (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
BUIES CREEK -- W. Preston Butts Sr., 88, of Buies Creek, died Thursday.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Buies Creek First Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Simmons. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park.
Mr. Butts is survived by his daughter, Bettie B. Sander of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Miss Willie Willard (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
LAURINBURG -- Miss Willie Willard, 90, of Century Care Nursing Home died Friday.
She was a retired florist.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton by the Rev. W.A. Johnson.

H. Milton Russell (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
JACKSON SPRINGS -- Hubert Milton Russell, 69, of 1924 Rose Ridge Road died Thursday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Taylor Memorial Baptist Church by the Revs. Richard Hodges and Joe Wilburn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Dixie B. Russell; a son, Michael Russell of Pinebluff; two daughters, Judy R. Auman of Derby and Frances Russell of the home; four sisters, Clara J. Kirk of Aberdeen, Edith Smith of Charlotte, Alice McBride of Derby and Sue Darby of Pinebluff; a brother, Lewis Russell of Jackson Springs; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

CLARKTON -- Robert Howard Huggins Sr., 79, of 941 Rosindale Road died Thursday in his home.
He was a retired farmer, a World War II veteran and a Mason.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elizabethtown Baptist Church by the Rev. David Elks. Burial will be in Western Prong Cemetery in Whiteville.
Mr. Huggins is survived by his wife, Margaret W. Huggins of the home; a daughter, Melanie H. Settlemeyer of Elizabethtown; two sons, Robert H. Huggins Jr. of Clarkton and William J. Huggins of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Lorena H. Snider of Clarkton and Jean H. Senter of Raleigh; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Lillian Rae “Cookie” Sykes Pate, 50, of Maracay Court, Fayetteville, formerly of Chesapeake, Va., died Friday in Chesapeake.
She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and a volunteer for the food pantry and clothes closet of Highland Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel in Chesapeake by the Rev. Henry Napier. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park in Norfolk, Va.
Mrs. Pate is survived by her husband, Retired Air Force Preston H. Pate Jr. of Fayetteville; a daughter, Laura A. Pate of Fayetteville; a son, Howard N. Pate of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Jerusha S. Koon of Hollywood, Md.; and a brother, Howard R. Sykes of Virginia Beach, Va.
Mrs. Martha S. McCaskill (dated Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997)
ROBBINS -- Mrs. Martha Stutts McCaskill, 87, of 6259 N.C. 705, died Friday.
She was a member of Robbins Cross Roads Baptist Church and a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Robbins Cross Roads Baptist Church by the Revs. Mike Holyfield, Randy Clendenin and Bennie Maness. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. McCaskill is survived by four daughters, Hazel M. Clendenin of Robbins, Vera M. Freeman of Biscoe, Ann M. Slade of West End and Kinzia M. Ritter of Carthage; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

PEMBROKE -- Mrs. Olif Hunt Locklear, 95, of Pemberton Place Nursing Center, died Thursday.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Benson Chapel Baptist Church by the Revs. Johnnie Chavis and Johnny Chavis. Burial will be in Benson Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Locklear is survived by a son, John H. Locklear of Rowland; four daughters, Bernice Chavis of Hamer, S.C., Cleo Chavis of Crestview, Fla., Tener Moore of High Point and Willie L. Godwin of Rowland; a foster son, Samuel Oxendine of Rowland; a brother, Woodrow Campbell of Pembroke; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

ORRUM -- Neil Robert Greene, 68, of 120 Ann Road, died Thursday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Anne S. Greene of the home; a daughter, Donna Wade of Sanford; a brother, Marshall Greene of Cerro Gordo; seven sisters, Thelma Hayes, Helen Fairfax and Evelyn Hinson, all of Cerro Gordo, Annie Parker of Clarendon, Jewell Britt of Clarkton, Hazel Miller of Chadbourn and Shirley Hildreth of Wadesboro; and two grandchildren.
