Mrs. Elsie M. Sharpe, 44, of 6203 Lynette Circle, Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Morgan M. McDonald (dated Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997)
Morgan Marvin McDonald, 76, of 876 W. Orange St., Fayetteville, died Monday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Northside Cemetery by Brother Lawrence LaBoo. Arrangements are being handled by Wiseman Mortuary.
Mr. McDonald is survived by three sisters, Elsie McDonald, Rosemary Williams and Catherine Stovall, all of the home; and a brother, Charles McDonald of New Jersey.
The family will receive friends at the home.

Mrs. Fannie M. Simmons, 77, of 6231 Yewelene Dr., Fayetteville, died Sunday in Memphis, Tenn.

Mrs. Eunice Hammond (dated Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997)
LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Eunice Hammond, 88, of 631 Hammonds Road, died Monday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
She was a former dietitian for Magnolia School and was a member of Ten Mile Center Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m Thursday in Ten Mile Center Baptist Church by the Revs. Earney Hammond and Leonard Gibbs. Burial will be in Hammond Cemetery in Saddle Tree community.
Mrs. Hammond is survived by two daughters, Doris Hall and Earnestine Locklear, both of Lumberton; two sons, Douglas Hammond of Lumberton and Miles J. Hammond of Ocean Isle Beach; a sister, Lela H. Brooks of Pembroke; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Biggs Funeral Home and at other times at the home of the Rev. John L. and Mrs. Earnestine H. Locklear, 630 Hammonds Road, Lumberton.
Wallace ‘Snoop’ Hursey (dated Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997)
LUMBERTON -- Wallace Franklin “Snoop” Hursey, 42, of 801 E. 10th St. died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Bill Sapp Recreation Center by the Rev. W.E. Cummings. Burial will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
Mr. Hursey is survived by his wife, Cassandra Hursey of the home; his mother, Dorothy L. Mitchell of Springfield, Mass; his stepfather, Robert Mitchell of Lumberton; seven brothers, Preston Hursey, Lamont McCallum, Melvin Mitchell and Jobray Mitchell, all of Lumberton, Ronald Evans of New York, Robert Mitchell of Atlanta and Anthony Farris of Springfield; and seven sisters, Deborah Powell, Claudette McCallum, Arnetta McCallum, Jacqueline Gorgan and Beulah Hawkins, all of Lumberton, Dedria Cole of Springfield and Jearline Smith of New Jersey.

Mrs. Ruby H. Morehead, 78, of Highland House of Fayetteville, formerly of Charlotte, died Friday.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 26 in Harry and Bryant Company in Charlotte. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 29 in Burnsville.
Mrs. Morehead is survived by three sons, John M. Morehead IV of Charlotte, Garrett Morehead Jr. of Fayetteville and Robert L. Morehead of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Catherine M. Bailey of Columbia, S.C.; five sisters, Geneva Rodgers of Burnsville, Lucille Proffitt of Wilson, Marjorie Olson of Copperas Cove, Texas, Elizabeth Barwick of Clarksville, Tenn., and Frances Millican of Austin, Texas; a brother, Russell Higgins of Abilene, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Jimmy D. Frye (dated Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997)
PINEHURST -- Jimmy Dwight Frye, 53, of Pinehurst died Tuesday in his home.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cornerstone Baptist Church by the Rev. James Cagle. Burial will be in Beulah Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Frye is survived by his wife, Brenda Frye; two sons, Jeffrey Frye of Pinehurst and Chris Carrothers of Virginia Beach, Va.; his mother, Faye D. Carrico of Rockingham; two brothers, Hughie C. Frye of Pinehurst and John L. Frye of Seagrove; a sister, Pauline F. Satterfield of Martinsville, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruby Mae Finch, 74, of 2811 Kingdom Way, Apt. 107, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Columbia Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Wiseman Mortuary chapel by the Rev. C.E. Lawson. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Spring Lake.
Mrs. Finch is survived by a daughter, Eloise Lilly of the home, and one grandson.

QUINCY, Mass. -- Dr. Sue Allen Warren, 79, of Quincy, formerly of Dunn, N.C., died Nov. 14 in her home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.
Ms. Warren is survived by a son, Arthur A. Little of Quincy; two sisters, Genevieve Nichols of Herkimer and Helen Jackson of Asheboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Thomas M. Pipkin (dated Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997)
DUNN -- Thomas Milton Pipkin, 84, of Golden Years Nursing Home died Tuesday in Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He retired after 30 years from Erwin Mills.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Skinner Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Davis. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery.
Mr. Pipkin is survived by a son, John I. Pipkin of Benson; a brother, Osbert Pipkin of Dunn; two sisters, Viva Boron and Edna G. Smith, both of Magnolia; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Letha Mae Edwards, 72, of 57 Carolina Ave. died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Edwards retired after 21 years as a hostess and cashier for Holiday Inn. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of Brown’s Bible class.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in First Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Phillip Bland. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Biggs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by two sons, Ernest Hinson of Star and Robert Hinson of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Glenda Hughes of Liberty and Brenda Pittman of Lumberton; a brother, James C. Grant of Rockingham; three sisters, Daphine Spruytte of High Point, Novella Beck of Charlotte and Elnita Kirby of Rockingham; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home.

CHEHALIS, Wash. -- James Edward Bowman, 79, of Chehalis, formerly of Fort Bragg, N.C., died Tuesday in his home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, N.C. Local arrangements are being handled by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
Mr. Bowman is survived by a son, Pete Bowman of Chehalis; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
