CLINTON -- William Arthur Blue, 46, of 1122 Phillip St. died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Union Grove Disciples Church of Christ by Elder Ivan Green. Burial will be in Sandhills Cemetery.
Mr. Blue is survived by a daughter, Eran R. Blue of Turkey; a son, William A. Blue II of Turkey; seven sisters, Ester Pope, Eliza Vann, Elizabeth Speller and Willadean Robinson, all of Clinton, Ruth Rich and Jeanette Faison, both of Turkey, and Annie Blue of New York; two brothers, Edward Blue of South Carolina and Robert Blue of Clinton; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 7 p.m. at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home.

CLINTON -- Mrs. Hannah Jane Bennett, 93, of 2834 Boykin Bridge Road died Thursday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Flora A. Armstrong, 90, of 3917 James Dail Road, Fayetteville, formerly of Wade, died Thursday in her home.

Mrs. Eva F. Bullock (dated Friday, Nov. 21, 1997)
LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Eva Freeman Bullock, 86, of 1555 Willis Ave. died Thursday in Kingsdale Manor nursing home.
Mrs. Bullock was a member of Hog Swamp Baptist Church and was a WYA teacher. She was director of WMU and a Sunday school teacher.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Floyd Mortuary & Crematory chapel by the Revs. Vernon Williamson and Mark Brown. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
Mrs. Bullock is survived by two sons, Donald K. Bullock of Lumberton and James R. Bullock of Laurinburg; two daughters, Nancy B. Warwick and Patricia B. Davis, both of Lumberton; a sister, Agnes Hickman of Lumberton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Ernest I. Enzor (dated Friday, Nov. 21, 1997)
NICHOLS, S.C. -- Ernest Irvin Enzor, 88, of Nichols died Thursday in Marion County Medical Center.
He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Spring Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. Jack Stafford. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Enzor is survived by five brothers, Luther Enzor and Herman Enzor, both of Nichols, Austin F. Enzor of Santee, Elmer Enzor of Fair Bluff, N.C., and Carroll Enzor of Florence; and three sisters, Irene Luther of Nichols, Pauline Osborne of Columbia and Jennie Lovette of Lumberton, N.C.

SOUTHERN PINES -- Army National Guard Sgt. Larry D. Thompson, 33, of Southern Pines died Friday in his home.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Vanessa K. Thompson; two sons, Christopher Thompson and Devonte Thompson, both of Pinebluff; three brothers, George Thompson of San Antonio, Joe Thompson of Augusta, Ga., and James Thompson of Fayetteville; and a stepsister, Barbra Gilmore of Southern Pines.

COUNCIL -- John David Parks Sr., 87, of Council died Wednesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mr. Parks is survived by his wife, Betty K. Parks of Council; a daughter, Betty L. Mintz of Council; a son, John D. Parks Jr. of Council; two sisters, Ina P. Mercer of Spartanburg, S.C., and Martha P. Shufler of Raleigh; four brothers, Woodrow Parks of Clarkton, Joe Parks of Rocky Mount, Hugh Parks of Kinston and Murvelle Parks of Mary Ester, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

LAURINBURG -- Eldress Alice McNeill Fairley, 81, of Laurinburg, formerly of Maxton, died Friday in Central Care Nursing Home.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph First Pentecostal C.O.D. Church in Red Springs by Bishop R.L. Garner. Burial will be in St. James Holiness Church cemetery in Wakulla. Arrangements are being handled by Jackson Funeral Home.
Miss Fairley is survived by two daughters, Alice R. Daniels of Seaford, Del., and Greta Adams of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Gurney E. McLaughlin (dated Friday, Nov. 21, 1997)
SANFORD -- Retired Naval Reserve Lt. Gurney Edward McLaughlin, 77, of 5001 Cardinal Circle died Wednesday in his home.
Mr. McLaughlin was a life member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and had served as governor, governor alternate, vice president, director, president, national director, and on the executive committee for the Fayetteville and the Ohio Chapters of Professional Engineers. He was a member of the Sanford Rotary Club and retired after 35 years with Havens & Emerson Consulting Engineers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.
Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his wife, Olive H. McLaughlin; a daughter, Susan Toukonen of Jefferson, Ohio; two sons, William McLaughlin of South Euclid, Ohio, and David McLaughlin of Cleveland; a sister, Louise Tansey of Contona, Italy; and five grandchildren.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Addie Ruth McCoy Eastman, 58, of 323 Lark St., Quails Acres, died Monday in Hamlet Hospital in Hamlet.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Open Door Christian Fellowship Church by Elder Robert Killens. Burial will be in the Thompson family cemetery.
Mrs. Eastman is survived by her husband, Allen Eastman of the home; a daughter, Mary McNeill of Lumberton; four sons, Howard McNeill, Brodrick McNeill, Edward L. McNeill and Cecil McNeill, all of Lumberton; two sisters, the Rev. Earlie Killens and Magnolia Wilmore, both of Lumberton; a brother, Claude McCoy of Baltimore; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Victor W. Thompson Sr.; two sons, Victor W. Thompson Jr. and John H. Thompson, both of Naples; a daughter, Jane Thompson of Naples; a brother, John Bullock of Roanoke, Va.; and one grandson.
