MAXTON -- Mrs. Reedy B. Bullard, 79, of 424 Hezekiah Road, died Thursday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Locklear & Son Funeral Home chapel in Pembroke by the Revs. Simmie Barton and Raymond Oxendine, and brother Hubert Locklear. Burial will be in the Bullard family cemetery.
Mrs. Bullard is survived by a son, Curley Locklear Sr. of Maxton; three daughters, Gertrude Locklear of Maxton, Rena L. Beard of Red Springs and Daven K. Locklear of the home; a sister, Adline Locklear of Maxton; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today after 4 p.m. at the home.
Mrs. Lana M. Brown (dated Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997)
CHADBOURN -- Mrs. Lana Gail McKinney Brown, 55, of 492 Dewitt White Lane, died Thursday.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Worthington Funeral Home by the Revs. Lee Roney and Ricky Donaldson. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Michael R. McKinney of Green Sea, S.C., and Willie K. Brown of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother, Donald L. McKinney of Shelbyville, Ky.; a sister, Corena White of Chadbourn; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Worthington Funeral Home.
Ronald L. Grimble Jr. (dated Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997)
CONWAY † Ronald Lewis Grimble Jr., 36, of Chicora Subdivision, formerly of Fayetteville, died Thursday in Conway Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Celestial Memorial Gardens in Vanceboro.
Mr. Grimble is survived by his mother, Sue Grimble of Wilmington; two brothers, Terry Grimble of Fayetteville and Curtis Grimble of Wilmington; and two sisters, Cindy Peaden of Greenville and Angel McGee of Carolina Beach.
Richard W. Moore (dated Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997)
SEVEN LAKES -- Richard W. Moore, 73, of Seven Lakes, died Thursday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in West End Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Charles Hinson. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Lois Moore; a son, Stephen R. Moore of Chambersburg, Pa.; a daughter, Melinda M. Ferry of Ellington, Conn.; a brother, Norman H. Moore of Vermont; a sister, Marilyn West of Massachusetts; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Edna C. Lemieux (dated Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997)
WILMINGTON -- Mrs. Edna Raynor Cook Lemieux of 2105 Jumpin’ Run Drive, formerly of Sanford, died Friday in her home.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington by the Rev. Harry Daniel. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Arrangements are being handled by Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel.
Mrs. Lemieux is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Lemieux of Wilmington; two daughters, Judith C. Walden of Atlanta and Ava C. Holler of Florence, S.C.; two stepdaughters, JoAnn L. Lisk of Virginia Beach, Va., and Patricia L. Turner; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Elsie Shannon (dated Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997)
Mrs. Elsie Shannon, 92, of 2118 Forest Hills Drive, Fayetteville, died Friday in her home.
Burial will be in Auburn, Iowa.
Mrs. Shannon is survived by a daughter, Gloria Peuster of Fayetteville; a brother, William Shannon of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by a brother, G. Earl Thompson of Lumberton; and four sisters, Alice B. Stone and Ellen B. Roberts, both of Chapel Hill, Georgia T. Holmes of Mullins, S.C., and Rose T. Smith of Daytona Beach, Fla.

RALEIGH -- Retired Marine Col. Richard Roland Juby Sr., 77, of Raleigh, died Friday in Stewart Health Center.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Springmoor Retirement Community Auditorium in Raleigh by the Rev. Bob Sawyer.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Chestnut Hills Cemetery in Salisbury. Arrangements are being handled by O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home of Lillington.
Among Mr. Juby’s survivors is a son, Philip M. Juby of Buies Creek.

LUMBERTON -- James Carl Rising Sr., 71, of 3226 Singletary Church Road died Friday in his home.

Mr. Rising is survived by his wife, Sue Rising; two sons, Jimmy Rising of Bladenboro and Leroy Rising of Lumberton; four daughters, Linda Meares of Lumberton, Lucille Storms of Bunn, Louise Wilkins of Sumpter, S.C., and Donna Hester of Bladenboro; a stepson, Terry Libby of Whiteville; a sister, Myrtle Stanley of Bladenboro; two brothers, Furney Rising of Bladenboro and George Rising of Rockingham; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pruitt is survived by his wife, Kimberly Labonte; three sons, Charles E. Pruitt Jr. and Michael Pruitt, both of Dillon, S.C., and Jason Pruitt of Middleburg, Fla.; a daughter, Tammy Nesbit of Tennessee; two brothers, Jerry Pruitt and James Pruitt, both of Laurel Hill; two sisters, Julia Holton and Annie Hawkins, both of Laurel Hill; and six grandchildren.

DUNN -- Mrs. Laura Jean Williams McLeod, 37, of Route 3, died Friday in Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
She worked for Red Kap in Lillington.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Antioch Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church near Erwin by the Revs. Wesley Hamilton and Sherrill Pope. Entombment will be in Devotional Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. McLeod is survived by her husband, Warren A. McLeod of Dunn; a son, Christopher A. McLeod of the home; a daughter, Alison K. McLeod of the home; her parents, Kelly Williams of Indiana and Mary B. Tart of Dunn; her stepfather, Ronald M. Tart of Lillington; four stepbrothers, Johnny Vilardo of Dunn, Billy Vilardo of Missouri, Ron Tart of Raleigh and Edward “E.T.” Tart of Lillington; and three sisters, Kathy M. Honeycutt of Lillington, and Beverly A. Stewart and Lynn “Lynnie” Tyndall, both of Dunn.

Billy J. Elliston (dated Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997)
BUNNLEVEL -- Retired Air Force Tech. Sgt. Billy J. Elliston, 60, of Route 1, died Friday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was a veteran of the Korea and Vietnam wars.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Adcock Funeral Home chapel in Spring Lake. Burial with military honors will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Elliston is survived by three daughters, Karon E. Whitney of Hope Mills, Pamela J. Steinmetz of Lexington, Ky., and Jennifer S. Elliston of Spring Lake; a son, Billy J. Elliston II of Spring Lake; a sister, Pauline George of Decatur, Ala.; two brothers, Jack Elliston and George Elliston, both of Detroit; and four grandchildren.
