Harold G. Quillen (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
Retired Army Master Sgt. Harold G. Quillen, 62, of 7243 Beta St., Fayetteville, died Thursday in his home.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Southview Baptist Church by the Rev. Ned Webb. Burial with full military honors will be in Fort Bragg Post Cemetery.
Mr. Quillen is survived by his wife, Ginger Quillen; a son, Gary Quillen of Durham; his mother, Edna Quillen of Kimmins, Tenn.; two sisters, Linda Campbell of Linden and Paulette Atkinson of Centerville, Tenn.; three brothers, J.B. Quillen of Centerville, Billy Quillen of Taylor, Mich., and Bobby Quillen of Southgate, Mich; and one grandson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills.
Mrs. Virginia M. Barefoot (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
Mrs. Virginia Mozingo Barefoot, 81, of Carrollton of Fayetteville nursing home died Friday.
Mrs. Barefoot was a member of the choir, Presbyterian Women and Willing Workers Sunday school class at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church by the Rev. William Pauley. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Barefoot is survived by a son, Reuben E. Mozingo of Charlotte; a daughter, Amy Eberhardt of Fayetteville; a brother, Thel Lassiter of Selma; two sisters, Sarah Crittenden of Eureka, Calif., and Lola Sawyer of Tampa, Fla.; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Mrs. Margaret M. Wall (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
DUNN -- Mrs. Margaret McKay Wall, 58, of 902 E. Edgerton St. died Thursday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday in St. John Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Walter J. Haire. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Wall is survived by her adoptive mother, Altha B. Cook of Dunn; two sisters, Betty J. McCollums of New York and Helen Blue of Dunn; and two brothers, Robert White of Fayetteville and Eugene “Pug” White of the home.
The public will be received today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Dafford Funeral Home. The family will be present from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
A.C. Meares (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
FAIR BLUFF -- A.C. Meares of Fair Bluff died Friday in Columbus County Hospital.
He was a veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Meares Funeral Home chapel by Revs. Billy Stines and Ray Lundy. Burial will be in Meares Cemetery.
Mr. Meares is survived by two sons, Tommy Meares of Dillon, S.C., and Bruce Meares of Chadbourn; a stepdaughter, Annie Grier of Fair Bluff; two stepsons, Stevie Grier of Chadbourn and Ollie Grier of Fair Bluff; three sisters, Victoria Hinson, Rosa Morris and Margaret Meares, all of Fair Bluff; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Robert J. Guiendon (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
SOUTHERN PINES -- Robert Joseph Guiendon, 81, of Southern Pines died Friday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A Mass will be celebrated at noon Tuesday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by Father James Butler. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Guiendon is survived by his wife, Louise B. Guiendon; two sons, Joseph R. Guiendon of Warner Robins, Ga., and Thomas Guiendon of Woburn, Mass.; a daughter, Mary Ellen G. Haley of Seattle; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.

Frank Culbreth (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
HAMPSTEAD -- Frank Culbreth, 86, of 472 Williams Store Road, formerly of Stoney Point community, Fayetteville, died Friday in Guardian Care.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Cumberland United Methodist Church in Fayetteville by the Revs. Hope Vickers and Jim Bell. Burial will be in Culbreth family cemetery in Fayetteville. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home of Hope Mills.
Mr. Culbreth is survived by his wife, Anne Culbreth; a daughter, Patricia Butler of Wilmington; a son, George Culbreth of Salome, Ariz.; a sister, Ruby Howard of McColl, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Vivian J. Dishen (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
ROSEBORO -- Mrs. Vivian Jane Dishen, 68, of 680 Pleasant Union Road died Friday in Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Butler Funeral Home by the Rev. Roger White. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dishen is survived by her husband, Max Dishen of the home; a son, Don Dishen of Sanford; a sister, Maureen Aycock of Adamsville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Lillie M. McNeill (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Lillie Mae McNeill, 71, of 210C Pitt St. died Friday in Hamlet Hospital in Hamlet.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fairley Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Mattie Austin. Burial will be in Old Beautiful Zion Cemetery in Laurel Hill.
Mrs. McNeill is survived by three sons, Edward McNeill, Haywood McNeill and John W. McNeill, all of Laurinburg; two sisters, Inez Thomas of Hamlet and Hannah Thomas of Fayetteville; two brothers, John A. Thomas and Tom Thomas, both of Hamlet; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Miss Halene Crawford (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
ROWLAND -- Miss Halene Crawford, 89, of Rowland died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Mrs. Nellie W. Fairley (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Nellie Rea Woods Fairley, 82, of Laurinburg died Thursday in Scotland Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Garland Pierce. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Fairley is survived by three sons, Robert Fairley and Richard Fairley, both of Laurinburg, and Frank Fairley of Bronx, N.Y.; a daughter, Ethel “Jay” Pegues of Newark, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home.
J.C. Atkins (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
WEST END -- J.C. Atkins, 65, of Archie Road died Friday in his home.
Mr. Atkins was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired electrician for J.P. Stevens Carpet. Mr. Atkins was a deacon and a member of the building and grounds committee for West End Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in West End Baptist Church by the Revs. Larry Wells and Brad Williams.
Mr. Atkins is survived by his wife, Polly P. Atkins of the home; a son, Larry W. Atkins of West End; a daughter, Cynthia D. Atkins of Raleigh; a brother, Jim Atkins of West End; three sisters, Ella Laude of Pennsylvania, Frances Oldham of West End and Beulah Currie of Rockingham; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Raymonia Armwood (dated Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997)
LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Raymonia Armwood, 63, of 316 Bandera St., Fayetteville, formerly of Lumberton, died Friday in her home.
She was an associate member of Hilly Branch Baptist and Mount Sinai Holiness churches in Lumberton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Mount Sinai Holiness Church by the Rev. Russell Rogers. Burial will be in the Powell family cemetery.
Mrs. Armwood is survived by three daughters, Dorothy McKenzie and Marie Brandon, both of Fayetteville, and Jean Singletary of Lumberton; three sons, Willie R. Armwood of Washington, D.C., and Davie Armwood and Doug Armwood, both of Fayetteville; four sisters, Margariet Alston and Ella Mae McKinley, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and June C. Thompson and Ada Mae Page, both of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Maultsby & Sons Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Thompson, 542 Spruce St., Lumberton.
