Cyril Elijah Albert

Elizabeth City, NC - Cyril Elijah Albert, infant son of Cyril Kelly Albert and Edda Fabiola Castillo Albert, died Thursday, November 27, 2003 in Albemarle Hospital.

Besides his parents, he is survived by Paternal Grandparents, Dewitt and Beth Albert of Church Road, VA; Maternal Grandfather, Raul Castillo of Yuma, AZ, maternal grandmother, Edda Castillo of Birmingham, AL, and three uncles, Raul A. Castillo, R. Tony Castillo and Beau J. Albert.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Catholic Church with Father James Buchholz officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the memorial service in the social hall of the church. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of arrangements.

Effie Ainsley

Effie Barkley Ainsley, 90, of the 1300 block of Horner Street, Elizabeth City died Saturday morning, January 24, 2004, in the Guardian Care Nursing Home. She was born in Pasquotank County to the late Van B. and Beulah Mae Pritchard Sawyer and was the widow of the late Calvin Blackwell Barkley. She was a member of the Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ainsley is survived by a daughter, Sylvia B. Williams and husband, Webb, of Kitty Hawk, NC; two sons, Carlton Gene Barkley and wife, Millie, of Wanchese and James V. Barkley and wife Delana, of Kitty Hawk, NC; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 26, 2004, at 11:00am in the Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City by Rev. Dr. Bob Crisp. Burial will be in the Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service. The family suggests that memorial gift be made to Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church, 700 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Twiford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley Barker

Grandy, NC - Shirley Barker, age 76, of Grandy, NC, died April 13, 2004 in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born and raised in Colrain, NC, and was the son of the late George W. Barker and Mable Felton Barker, and the husband of Anne Catherine Harrell Barker of 57 years. He was a Merchant Marine and served in the US Navy.

Beside his wife he is survived by one daughter, Deborah A. Barker Wray of Grandy, NC; one son Danny Michael Barker and his wife Diane of Maple, NC; one sister Jeanette Copeland of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother George Felton Barker of North Port, FL; two grandchildren, Danny Michael Barker, Jr., and Mary Catherine Dillard, and one great grand-daughter, Abagail Nicole Dillard. He was predeceased by one grandson, Christopher Jason Byrd.

No funeral service is planned at this time.

W.A. Weeks, Jr.
Native of Pasquotank County

W. A. Weeks, Jr., age 63, of 2721 Peartree Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, December 11, 2003, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Weeks, was native of Pasquotank County, was the husband of Mary Hurdle Weeks of the residence and the son of W. A. Weeks, Sr., of Camden, NC, and the late Hazel Gibbs Weeks. He was a carpenter, a U.S.A.F. Veteran a member of Salem Baptist Church, a past member of the Weeksville Volunteer Fire Department and the Albemarle Firemen’s Association.

Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Weeks Beckwith, and husband Rob, of Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan, and Sarah Mathis-Weeks, and husband Scott Mathis, of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Billie Weeks Flora of Moyock, NC, Marina Weeks Upton and Dorothy Weeks James both of Elizabeth City, NC; two grandchildren, Chorey Parker and Sablle Titus; and dozens of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, with the Rev. Jeffery C. Russell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, PO 1967, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, or one’s favorite charity.

Margaret Perry Barker
Resident of Shiloh, NC

Margaret Perry Barker, age 52, 734 Sandy Hook Road, Shiloh, NC, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC, daughter of the late Allen E. and Opal Dozier Perry and the wife of Johnny L. Barker of the residence. She was a member of Camden Church of Christ.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Barker is survived by a daughter, Katrina B. Forbes and husband Thomas G. Forbes, Jr. of Shiloh, NC; a son, John R. Barker of Shiloh, NC; two sisters, Sharon Foster and husband Robert of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Gwen Calvert and husband Jimmy Calvert, Sr. of Shiloh, NC; two brothers, Steven Perry of Elizabeth City, NC, and Chris Perry and wife Becky of Edenton, NC; two grandchildren, Caleb Forbes and Haley Barker.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 2:00 pm in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Roland Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.

Ruth L. Webster

Ruth Luise Kollra Webster, age 72, of the 100 block of Sunny Acres Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Monday, August 25, 2003, at Norfolk Sentara Hospital. Mrs. Webster, a native of Bremen, Germany, was the wife of Kenneth Russell Webster, Sr., of the residence and the daughter of the late Herman Kollra and Luise Anna Kern Kollra. She was a homemaker.

Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Lowman, Barbara Lilly, Brenda Chrystal, and Patricia Webster, all of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Kenneth Webster, Jr., and Edward Webster, both of Elizabeth City, NC; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald Webster.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Twiford’s Northside Chapel, 1115 North Road Street, and at other times at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Lilly, 111 Sunny Acres Drive, Elizabeth City, NC. Clayton L. Armstrong

Clayton Luther Armstrong, 77, of 721 Creek Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at his residence. Born in Tyrrell County, NC, he was the son of the late Roland R. and Beatrice A. Armstrong and was the husband of Thelma Brewer Armstrong of the residence. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Besides his wife, Mr. Armstrong is survived by five daughters, Helen Armstrong Enbrock of Denver, CO, Beatrice Armstrong Minshew of Mobile, AL, Patricia Brewer Hankins of Goldsboro, NC, Theresa Brewer Van Aulen of Lancaster, PA, and Kathy Armstrong Howard of Austin, TX; three sons, Henry Clay Armstrong of Zebulon, NC, James Bill Brewer, Jr. of Statesville, NC, and Freddy Arnold Brewer of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Sadie Armstrong Hobbs and Elma Armstrong Onley both of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Robert Armstrong of Elizabeth City, NC; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness by Ed Spence, Minister. The family will be at the residence.

Jack Darrell McIe, Sr.
Retired US Navy

Jack Darrell McIe, Sr., age 64 of 125 Kings Way, Moyock, NC, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at his residence. A native of Morgantown, WV, he was the husband of Charlene Garrett McIe of the Residence and the son of the late Charles Everett McIe and Lela Emma Demastus McIe. He was a retired aviation boatswain mate from the US Navy and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Elisabeth Thornton of Bethlehem, PA, Sabrina McIe-Cooper of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kristine McIe of Norfolk, VA; one son, Jack McIe, Jr., of Austin, TX; three brothers, James Dolan McIe of Rockville, MD, William Franklin McIe of Corpus Christi, TX, and Paul Everette McIe of TN; and four grand children.

No services are planned at this time.

Robert Aldridge

Elizabeth City, NC - Robert Davis Aldridge, age 69, of 2133 Rivershore Rd., Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, June 23, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Burlington, NC; son of the late William Henry and Virginia Davis Aldridge and was the husband of Patricia Aydlett Aldridge of the residence. He was member of Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as former Chairman of the Board of Deacons. He was former owner of Midgett and Mutual Insurance Agencies; former Chairman of Trustees at Albemarle Hospital, former member of the Board of Trustees of C. O. A., former Chairman of the Board of the Elizabeth City Girls Club, former President of the Elizabeth City Jaycees, and a member of the Rotary Club of Elizabeth City.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Robin Aldridge Harris and husband, Steve, of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Jeffrey Aydlett Aldridge, and wife, Sharon, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and three grandchildren, Bobby Harris, Nathaniel Harris, and Case Aldridge. He was predeceased by a brother, William Henry Aldridge, Jr.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Bob Crisp officiating. The family will be at the residence. Elsa Eleanor Stafford Weber
Cambridge, OH native

Mrs. Elsa Eleanor Stafford Weber, age 91, of 1700 West Ehringhaus Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died January 23, 2003 at Winslow’s Memorial Nursing Home. She was born October 19, 1911 in Cambridge, Ohio to W. Edgar and Leah Addy Stafford. She was a graduate of Ohio University, a retired teacher and a member of First Families of Ohio, First Families of Guernsey County, the society of Civil War Families, AARP, the Ohio Genealogical Society, Sebring Historical Society, Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Alliance, Ohio, the United Methodist Women, and the Miller-Reid Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David G. Weber, whom she married icon August 25, 1939, and by two brothers; W. Roger Stafford and Donald H. Stafford. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Wesley Gragson of Elizabeth City, NC, a son and daughter-in- law, David S. and Kristine Weber of Ambler, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Maple of Herscher, Illinois, and Mrs. Roy (Doris) Ervin of New Philadelphia, Ohio; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Copeland Oaks Retirement Community in Sebring, Ohio, at a later date. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall of Christ Episcopal Church in Elizabeth City Sunday, January 26, 2003, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and at other times at the residence of the daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Gragson, 303 West Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Crandall Life Care Fund, Copeland Oaks, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, Ohio 44672-2050.

Charles Oscar "C.O." McMullan

Elizabeth City, NC - Charles Oscar “C. O.” McMullan, 79 of 801 West Colonial Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, January 27, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC to the late William Oscar McMullan and the late Anna Hester Bobbitt McMullan Straley. He graduated from Elizabeth City High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from East Carolina Teaching College, and received his Master’ Degree in Physical Education from Columbia University. He was a retired school teacher and coach, a member of First United Methodist Church, a member and past president of Pine Lakes Country Club, a member and past chaplain of B.P.O. Elks #856, a member of the V.F.W. Post #6060, and a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Coast Guard.

Mr. McMullan is survived by his wife of fifty years, Audrey Heath McMullan of the home; a daughter, Wanda McMullan of the home; a granddaughter, Michelle Collier and husband Brian of Falls Church, VA; two sisters, Julia Fearing Koch of Allentown, PA and Kathleen Fearing Eady of Birmingham, AL; a brother, Elbert “Ellie” Fearing of Portsmouth, VA; a brother-in-law, Bill Heath of Laurel, MA; and many devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Hugh M. Jolley and a step-father, Walton L. Straley.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Glenn Brigman and the Rev. Clyde Denny. Burial will be in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service, on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence. Doris Mae McLawhorn
Loving mother and grandmother

Elizabeth City, NC - Doris Mae Cox McLawhorn, age 75, of 908 Chestnut St, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven, NC. She was born in Pitt County, NC, daughter of the late Roy Lee and Hattie Lang Cox and was the widow of Marvin Lee McLawhorn.

Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Doris Brickhouse, Linda Ruth McLawhorn and Judy Kaye Pierce, all of Elizabeth City, NC and Ellen Marie McNeil of Beauville, NC; six sons, Bennie Earl McLawhorn, Jimmy Lee McLawhorn, Marvin Ray McLawhorn, Donald Roy McLawhorn, Robert Alan McLawhorn and David Bruce McLawhorn, all of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Ludie C. Taylor, Clara F. Cox and Winnie Crews, all of Kinston, NC; twenty one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4 at 2:00 PM in the New Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Roland Cooper officiating. The family will be at the residence.

Bobby Watson

Buxton, NC - Bobby Steven Watson, Sr., age 53, of 3942 Caratoke Hwy., Barco, NC, died Sunday, July 27, 2003 in Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Norfolk, VA, son of the late Elbert Edward Watson and Sarah Blowe Watson Huskey, and the husband of Lois Marlene Roache Watson of the home. He worked Tri-H Molding Company.

Besides his wife, Mr. Watson is survived by one daughter, Donna Watson of Manteo, NC; four sons, Randy Roache of Portsmouth, VA, Charles and Jason Watson both of Barco, NC, and Bobby Steven Watson, Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Gloria Lewis of Manteo, NC, and Frances Morris of Elizabeth City, NC; five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Thursday, July 31, 2003, at 2:00 PM in Laurel Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Wellons officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bobby S. Watson, Sr. Memorial Fund, 3942 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC 27917.

Dan “Pete” Watkins
Retired School Teacher

Dan Calvin “Pete” Watkins, age 60, of 3140 Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Watkins, a native of Bishopville, SC, was the husband of Wilhelmina “Mina” Moffett Watkins of the residence and the son of the late Melvin Delesie Watkins and Teresa Mae Gardner Watkins. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, a retired school teacher from the Currituck County School System, and a member of the ECSU Alumni.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Dan Christian, and wife Sherri, Watkins of Elizabeth City, NC, and Bradley Allen Watkins of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Melvin Donald Watkins of Elizabeth City, NC; and two grand children, Jordan Watkins and Tim Watkins. He was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Weatherington.

A funeral service will be Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 11:00 AM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, with the Rev. Reggie Parker officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. Herbert Lee Waterfield
Currituck Resident

Herbert Lee Waterfield, age 80, of Powells Point, NC, died Sunday morning, April 18, 2004 at his home. He was born in Currituck County, NC, son of the late Manton Waterfield and Nettie Waterfield Hoskins and was the husband of Dorothy Phelps Waterfield of the residence. He was a retired manager of Peoples Insurance Company, past president of Lower Currituck Fire Department, past president of Duck Woods Golf Club, past member of Currituck Board of County Commissioners, member of Currituck County A.B.C. Board, Currituck Masonic Lodge #463 AF &AM; , Sudan Shriners, and York Rites in Currituck County.

Besides his wife, Mr. Waterfield is survived by a daughter, Debra Elliott and husband Kenny of Edenton, NC; a son, Terry Lee Waterfield of Portsmouth, VA; three step-children, Judy Byrum of Elizabeth City, NC, Jo Anne Tonkin and husband Earl of Stanton, NJ, and Johnny Savage and wife Pam of Greenville, NC; two sisters, Lizzie Harris of Powells Point, NC, and Kathleen Lorenz and husband Frank of Grandy, NC; and seven grandchildren, Chad and Matt Elliott of Edenton, NC, Lee Waterfield of Elizabeth City, NC, Kristen Byrum of Elizabeth City, NC, Blake Byrum of Gates, NC, and Will and Joseph Tonkin of Stanton, NJ.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 11:00 am in Powells Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Askew and Rev. Frank Lorenz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and at other times at the residence. Onella Ann Arnold Wasilewski

Onella Ann Arnold Wasilewski, age 77, of 114 Rosewood Ave. Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at her residence. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC daughter of the late Quinton and Edith Simmons Arnold, and was the widow of Joseph Francis Wasilewski. She was a retired manager of the Vicki Villa Restaurant and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and a Life Member and Past President twice of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary.

Mrs. Wasilewski is survived by one son, Kenneth Wasilewski of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Lina Jones of Elizabeth City, NC, and Betty Markham and her husband Larry of Gladys, VA; two brothers, Nathan Arnold of Moore OK, and Elmer Arnold of Elizabeth City, NC; six grandchildren; Joey Wasilewski, Chris Wasilewski and his wife Tina of Lucama, NC, Ricky Ainsley, Hollie, Amanda, and Kevin Wasilewski all of Elizabeth City, NC.; four great grandchildren, and two very special friends, Ruth Griffin and Louise James both of Elizabeth City, NC. She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Marshall and Bobby Arnold.

Memorial service will be Saturday, January 4, 2002 at 11: 00 am in Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Jim Buchholz officiating. The family will be at the residence at 114 Rosewood Ave. Elizabeth City, NC. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Burnice Warren, Jr.

Burnice Warren Jr., 85, of 1111 East Williams Circle, Elizabeth City, died Monday, February 2, 2004, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Burnice Warren Sr. and the late Marian Jordan Warren. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration, a member of the Cann Memorial Presbyterian Church, an amateur radio operator for over 70 years with call letters, W4TLA. Also, Mr. Warren was a member of the Parkinson’s Support Group and was instrumental in establishing the 911 Commission. Mr. Warren enjoyed raising flowers and particularly orchids.

Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of 62 years, Daphne Bartholomew Warren, three daughters, Marian “Cookie” W. Stokes of Elizabeth City, Jane W. VonSchaaf and husband, Karl, of Coinjock, NC, and Susan W. Touchberry and husband, Ron, of Elizabeth City; two brothers, William Warren and Errol Warren both of Rocky Mount, NC; five grandchildren, Warren Stokes, Athens, GA, Kristen Stokes, Lilburn, GA, Graham Staples, Raleigh, NC Stuart Culpepper and Sarah Culpepper both of Elizabeth City.

Services will be conducted Thursday, February 5, 2004, at 10:30am in the Twiford Memorial Chapel by Revs. Samuel O. Jones and Leigh Gillis. Burial will be Thursday at 4:00pm in Pine View Cemetery, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends and relatives in the lobby Twiford Funeral Home immediately following the chapel service and at other times at their residence, 1111 E. Williams Circle. Also, the family will gather at the Johnson Funeral Home, 1912 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount, NC from 3:00 until interment time Thursday afternoon. OCRACOKE, NC - GEORGE BLACKBURN ‘BUFFY’ WARNER, JR., beloved husband, father and friend, died Friday, June 11, 2004 on Ocracoke Island, NC as the result of a sudden accident.

Born May 14, 1951, the son of George Blackburn, Sr. and Margie McCoy Warner, Buffy was a 1969 graduate of George Washington High School. After service aboard the USS Dale in the US Navy, he attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, where he received a degree in Labor Relations and a Masters Degree in Journalism. He served in the West Virginia State Senate from 1987 – 1991, where he earned a reputation as a colorful and dedicated public servant. He was the first Republican State Senator elected from the Morgantown-Fairmont area since the era of Herbert Hoover.

Since 1990, Buffy lived on Ocracoke Island, NC with his wife, Ann and their children. The owner of Howard’s Pub and most recently of historic Blackbeard’s Lodge, Mr. Warner was a passionate and unwavering supporter of the Ocracoke commuity and its livelihood, active in community politics and civic organizations, and also serving as Chairman of North Carolina’s Northeast Partnership. A steadfast and outspoken preservationist of the island’s idyllic lifestyle, he considered Ocracoke Island his personal paradise.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Warner and five children: daughters, Marion Warner, 22, of Washington, DC, twins, Carolyn and Sarah Warner, 20, of Yarmouthport, MA, Annmargaret Warner, 12, and son Blackburn Warner, 10, of Ocracoke Island, NC.

Buffy is also survived by his father, George Blackburn “Brud” Warner, Sr., of Charleston, WV, and five brothers: Karl K. “Kasey” Warner of Charleston, WV; Andrew “Mac” Warner of Morgantown, WV; Monroe P. “Monty” Warner of Charleston, WV; Kristian “Kris” Warner of Morgantown, WV; Benjamin F. “Ben” Warner of Morgantown, WV. His beloved mother, Margie McCoy passed away in 2001.

Memorial services will be held at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 11:00 am.

Services in Charleston, WV – A visitation will be held at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home on Friday, June 18, 2004. The funeral will follow on Saturday, June 19th at Ruffner Memorial Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Ocracoke Island Volunteer Fire Dept. and/or the Ocracoke United Methodist Church.

Patricia Aldridge

Elizabeth City, NC - Patricia Aydlett Aldridge, age 71 of 2133 Rivershore Rd., Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, August 11, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Pasquotank Co., NC; daughter of the late Nathaniel Elton and Pantha Houser Aydlett and was the widow of Robert Davis Aldridge. She was a former member of the Elizabeth City Junior Women’s Club and past deacon, interim organist and choir director at Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Aldridge is survived by a daughter, Robin Aldridge Harris and her husband, Steve of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Jeffrey Aydlett Aldridge and his wife, Sharon of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and three grandchildren, Bobby Harris, Nathaniel Harris and Case Aldridge.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13 at 2:00 PM in Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bob Crisp officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church Music Fund, 700 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
