Charles Edwards

GRAHAM, N.C. - Charles Dana Edwards, 21, 186 Windsor Drive, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 1996.
Born Sept. 23, 1974, in Alamance County, he was a son of Charles Paul Edwards and Pamela Page Edwards, who survive.
He was employed by Engineered Controls International and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents of Graham, he is survived by a sister, Tracy Cobb of Yanceyville; and his grandparents, Sam and Bertha Page of Elon College, and Paul and Margaret Edwards of Snow Camp.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday from Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. Marvin Simpson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at Marley Funeral Home in Yanceyville, and other times at the residence of his grandparents, Sam and Bertha Page, 7240 Kerr Chapel Road, Elon College.

Edgar "Ed" Sigmon

EDEN, N.C. - Edgar "Ed" Sigmon, 76, 153 Green Knolls Drive, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996, in Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
He was born in Woodbay, W.Va.
He was married icon to Dorothy Doyle Sigmon, who survives.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by American Tobacco Co. He was also a member of Leaksville Masonic Lodge No. 136 AF and AM and a member of Lynrock Golf Club.
In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by a son, Keith Sigmon of Eden; a brother, Lewis Sigmon of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and one grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday from Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Jack Kirkman

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jack Lee Kirkman, 80, of West Vandalia Road, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at his residence.
Born in Danville, Va., he was a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II, serving under Gen. George S. Patton. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Pet Shannon of the residence; four daughters, Shirley Hunt of Greensboro, Judy Hawkins of Light House Point, Fla., Faye Dail of Louisville and Betty Bordeaux of Cape Coral, Fla.; two sons, Jack L. Kirkman of New York, N.Y., Richard A. Kirkman of Lynn Haven, Fla.; three sisters, Helen Huckabee and Katherine Fuller, both of Greensboro and Virginia Johnson of Concord; two brothers, William D. Kirkman of Eden and Clarence "Dicky" Kirkman of Greensboro; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday from Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rosa Hodges

PELHAM, N.C. - The funeral for Rosa W. Hodges, 77, of 1068 Jones Road will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rex Brooks. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She died Sunday, Sept. 1, 1996, at the home of her son, Wayne Hodges, 1429 Park Springs Road, Providence.
Born May 20, 1919, in Person County, she was the daughter of Will Walker and Mary Nunn Walker.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and was retired from Royal Textile Mills after 35 years of service.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosemary H. O'Quinn of Elgin, S.C.; two sons, Wayne E. Hodges of Providence and Ronnie E. Hodges of Ruffin; two sisters, Edna W. Davis of Roxboro; Alliene Keck of Pittsboro; two brothers, Jimmy Walker of Hurdle Mills and John Walker of Roxboro; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her son, Wayne Hodges, 1429 Park Springs Road.
Barker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Barts

YANCEYVILLE, N.C. - Ronald Lee Barts, 64, of Sunvale Apartments, Apt. 2C, 275 7th St., died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 22, 1931, in Caswell County, he was a son of Robert Lee Barts and Myrtle Mise Barts.
He was married icon to Lona Nell Rice Barts, who survives.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as minister of Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mountain Hill. He was also a carpenter.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include two daughters, Joy Cleary of Milton and Pamela Robertson of Yanceyville; three sons, Samuel "Mike" Barts of Yanceyville, Randy Barts of Marion, and Steve Barts of Norfolk, Va.; a brother, Robert D. Barts of Blanch; three sisters, Hazel Oliver of Oxford, Shirley Murray of Concord, and Alice Ellis of Yanceyville; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday from Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church the Rev. Robert Oliver and the Rev. Dale Fuquay. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at Marley Funeral Home in Yanceyville, and other times at the residence.

Annie Pallinder

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Annie M. Gee Pallinder, 72, 501 Pomeroy Place, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, in her residence.
Born June 21, 1924, in Caswell County, she was a daughter of Otis and Linder Willis Marshall.
She was married icon to George Pallinder, who survives.
Prior to her retirement at age 70, she was employed by W&J Rives in High Point for 20 years, with 10 years of perfect attendance. She was also a member of 16th Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of the residence, survivors include a daughter, Patricia Davis of McLeansville; two sons, Perry Gee of Trinity and Charles Gee of Liberty; a sister, Elsie Millner of Gatewood; two brothers, James Marshall of Danville, Va., and Bobby "Bear" Marshall of Ringgold; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Morell Marshall, Ben Marshall, and Thomas Marshall, and by a sister, Barbara Dodson.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday from Hanes-Lineberry, North Elm Chapel. Burial will be in Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Yanceyville.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Roy Holland

KING, N.C. - Roy L. Holland, 62, Route 1, Box 345, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1996, in his residence.
Born Feb. 10, 1934, in Danville, Va., he was a son of George E. Holland and Alice Kendrick Holland.
He was married icon to Nancy Sparks Holland, who survives.
He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. In 1953, he graduated from George Washington High School. Upon graduation from Catawba College in Salisbury in 1957, he taught at public schools. Prior to his retirement, he worked in textile management for 30 years.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include three daughters, Lee Ann Holland of Tobaccoville, Debbie Stanifer of Fayetteville and Kim Holland of Martinsville, Va.; a sister, Nancy Inman of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Eugene Holland of Lexington, Va.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday from Barker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. W.L. Wade. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Robert "Bob" Wrenn

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Robert "Bob" Wrenn of Bayberry Lane died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1996, in Beacon Place, Hospice.
Born in Danville, Va., he was of the Baptist faith. During World War II and the Korean War, he served in the Military Air Transport. He was also a member of the Civitan Club.
He was married icon to Cheryl Wrenn, who survives.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include a son, Robert W. Wrenn of Greensboro; two daughters, Carol Puett of Asheville and Patricia Maix of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sisters, Nancy McBride of Danville, Va., and Dorothy Pankey of London, Ark.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday from Guilford Memorial Park by the Rev. Vic Dowd. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Chapel.

Roy Holland

KING, N.C. - The funeral for Roy L. Holland, 62, Route 1, Box 345, will be conducted 2 p.m. today from Barker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. W.L. Wade. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1996, in his residence.

James "Mutt" Riggs

MEBANE, N.C. - James "Mutt" M. Riggs, 65, 572 Corbett Ridge Road, died Monday, Sept. 9, 1996, in Danville Regional Medical Center, following several months of declining health.
Born in Caswell County, he was a son of Wiley M. and Ruby H. Riggs.
He was married icon to Martha C. Riggs, who survives.
He attended Caswell County Schools. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Ace Hardware and Building Center in Yanceyville. He was also of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include two daughters, Virginia C. Tickle of Fairfax, Va., and Lisa R. Stahl of Prospect Hill; three sons, Daniel Wilson of Providence, Carlton Wilson of Chatham, Va., and David Wilson of Danville, Va.; a brother, William M. Riggs of Orange County; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday from Hooper Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Theodore Strealow. Burial will be in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8 tonight at Hooper Funeral Home in Yanceyville.
