Dorothy B. Balthrope Brombolich, 82, teacher, of 50 Heritage Dr., Lake Wylie, SC, died at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 1998, at her residence.
Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 1998, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL, with Rev. Donald Sabbert officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 1998, at the funeral home.
Born on Sunday, August 29, 1915, in East St. Louis, IL, Mrs. Brombolich was a daughter of the late Harry W. Balthrope and Melinda Kalina Balthrope, and wife of the late Michael J. Brombolich whom she married
on July 28, 1942. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Roland Anderson.
She was a Life member of Eastern Star in Collinsville and a Life member of the N.E.A. She was a member of the Emblem Club of the Elks, and the California Retired Teachers. She was retired after teaching for 42 years.
Survivors include daughter, Michaelyn Davis of Lake Wylie, SC 29710; son, Michael Brombolich of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Betty River of Collinsville, IL; sisters, Betty Nicol of Collinsville, IL, Gail McWhirter of Fairfield, CT, and Frances Gilbert of Tallahassee, FL; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care of South Carolina; or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Wilson Lewith, 83, of Charlotte, NC, died on Monday, February 9, 1998, at Mercy Hospital South.
Mr. Lewith was born on October 22, 1914, in Charlotte, the son of the late Arthur Edward Lewith and Freda Hayman Lewith.
Mr. Lewith is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret McDonald Lewith; two sisters, Irene Weinstein of Matthews and Miriam Bernstein of Hollywood, FL; three nieces, Jean Frey of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn Sosnik of Gastonia, NC, and Constance Bernstein of San Francisco, CA; two nephews, Harold Weinstein of Charlotte and Richard Bernstein of Toledo, OH; also numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Lewith will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 1998, at Temple Beth El, 5101 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC, with Rabbi James Bennett and Rabbi Israel Gerber officiating. Interment will take place in Hebrew Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harry and Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road.

Derrick Stuart Woodall, 30, of 123 Dalehurst Drive died Sunday, February 8, 1998, at Rutherford Hospital.
A native of Rutherford County and the son of Royce and Margaret S. Woodall of Forest City, he was employed by Reeves Brothers, Grace Plant, in Rutherfordton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Franziska Bradley Woodall of the home; a stepson, Drew Patterson; a stepdaughter, Miss Cieara Patterson, both of the home; and one sister, Denise W. McCullogh of Boiling Springs, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. L. Joey Faucette officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Padgett and King Mortuary. The family will be at the home of his parents, 1684 Rock Corner Road, Forest City, NC.

Maude Sutherland Hudson, 101, died at a local hospital, Monday, Feb. 9, 1998.
The widow of Homer C. Hudson, she was a native of Franklin County, VA, and has lived in Salem for the last 27 years.
In earlier years, she taught in Iron Gate and Lynchburg, Virginia; in Greensboro, NC, where she met and married
her late husband; and in the North Carolina counties of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Forsyth and Davie.
Survivors include son, Robert C. Hudson and wife, Cliffodean, and granddaughter, Mary Hudson Boston and husband, Paul, all of Salem; grandson, James C. Hudson of Richmond; grandson, Clifton R. Hudson of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Jessica and David Boston of Salem, Christopher Hudson of Warren, RI; nieces and nephews in Virginia, Arizona, New York and South Carolina.
Graveside services will be at Sherwood Cemetery, Salem, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, conducted by Rev. Dean Lindsey, pastor of Salem Presbyterian Church.
Visiting hours are 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Mr. Lewis Edward ``Bud" Almond, 64, of 1102 W. Main St., Locust, NC, died Feb. 8, 1998, at Mercy Hospital, Charlotte, NC.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, NC, with the Revs. Clint Scott and Tony Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Union County, NC, with Rites by DAV. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the funeral home.
Born on Aug. 22, 1933, in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Almond was a son of the late William John and Ida Mae Brattain Almond, was a retired service station owner, and served with the U.S. Army in Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ann Griffin Almond of the home; brother, Floyd Gene Almond of Locust, NC; and sisters, Mrs. Hazel Barbee, Mrs. Mary Grace Laughter and Mrs. Linda Helms, all of Concord, NC, and Mrs. Dorothy Martin of Locust, NC.
Brothers, Robert and Dewey Almond, and sister, Annie Tucker, preceded him in death.

Roger Lynn Satterfield Sr., age 48, died suddenly Sunday, February 8, 1998, at his home in Charlotte. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington with Reverend William Beyer officiating. The family will receive friends at Hankins & Whittington from 7 until 8:30 Tuesday evening. Mr. Satterfield, a Charlotte native, was the son of Mary Satterfield Osborne of Charlotte and the late William Satterfield Sr. He was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School. Mr. Satterfield was the owner of Daughtry Sheet Metal and leaves behind hundreds of friends and associates. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jane Irby Satterfield, sons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cristi Satterfield, and Josh Satterfield, two daughters, Katie and Jamie Satterfield, and a brother, William Satterfield Jr., all of Charlotte; and a sister, Ann Estes of Stallings. A brother, Richard Satterfield, predeceased him. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Hankins & Whittington is serving the family of Mr. Satterfield.

age 86, of Charlotte died Sunday, February 8, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral service is 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 1998, at McEwen Charlotte Chapel with Dr. William G. Young of Third Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 11:30-12:30 p.m. Tuesday at McEwen Charlotte Chapel.
Mrs. Keever was a homemaker and member of Third Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Keever, and their daughter, Margaret Keever McLaughlin.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hunter Causby of High Point, NC; four grandchildren, Pamela McLaughlin Crowder, Sherry McLaughlin Knotts, Richard Kirk McLaughlin, Melanie McLaughlin Cleveland; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mr. Willie J. Lambert, 84, of 2801 Lyndell Way died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 6, 1913, in Williamsburg County, Mr. Lambert was a son of the late Ervin Moody Lambert and Minnie Lee Johnson Lambert and husband of the late Willie Mae McManus Lambert.
He owned and operated Lambert's Antiques since 1951. He was one of the members present at the ground breaking ceremony and helped establish Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church in 1960. He served as a deacon and Sunday school superintendent for 25 years.
Survivors include sons, Donald R. ``Buddy" Lambert of Lancaster and Jerry Wayne ``Pookey" Lambert of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Barnes of Camden, Mrs. Marvin (Christine) Timmons of Lancaster and Mrs. Franklin D. (Mary Frances) Black of Statesville, NC; brothers, Rev. Cecil Lambert of Florence and Clyde Lambert and Manlee Lambert, both of Andrews; sister, Mrs. Ozzie L. Ackerman of Andrews; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Carrigan was a son of the late William and Laura Jane Carrigan, husband of the late Millie M. Helms Carrigan and brother of the late Floyd, Virgil and Coyt Carrigan and Bertha Reel.
Survivors include sons, Douglas Carrigan of Gastonia and Wayne Carrigan of Pigeon Forge, TN; daughters, Narvice Wentz of Lowell and Vearline Ballard of Gastonia; brothers, Arthur Carrigan and Ralph Carrigan, both of Kings Mountain; sister, Ina Mae Lineberger of Gastonia; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
