Mr. Jake A. Fasnacht, 78, of Charlotte, died April 15, 1998.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 1998 at Elmwood City Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Whitaker, officiating. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 17, at McEwen Charlotte Chapel.
Mr. Fasnacht was a native of Charlottean. He was a veteran of WWII and the recipient of numerous decorations and citation. He and his brother founded Party Pride Ice Cream Company on East 11th Street, Charlotte. He retired from the Charlotte Police Department where he was a clerk in the Central Service Division.
Survivors include his son, Barney R. Fasnacht of Charlotte; daughters, Brenda L. Fasnacht of Thessaloniki, Greece; sister, Martha Sutton of Taylors, SC; 3 grandchildren, Travis, Daniel and Holly Fasnacht.

Mr. William Rollin ``Dub" Timmons, 71, of 3866 Great Falls Highway, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born June 18, 1926 in Lancaster County, a son of the late Mr. Rollin Timmons and Mrs. Rilda Harris Timmons. Mr. Timmons was a retired business man, a member of Second Baptist Church, a member of Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 53 and Hejaz Shrine Temple, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and served in Lancaster County as Cane Creek Magistrate for a number of years, and a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Timmons is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sybil Bailey Timmons of the home; 3 sons, Mr. William Rollin Timmons, Jr., Mr. Barry D. Timmons and wife, Lucy, both of Orangeburg, SC and Mr. Michael L. Timmons and wife, Sherry of Lancaster; 4 daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Jeanne) Robinson, Mrs. Linda Timmons, and Mrs. Eddie (Pamela) Ackerman, all of Lancaster and Mrs. Wade (Sandra) Craig of Orangeburg; 2 brothers, Mr. Vernon Timmons of Charlotte, and Mr. Marvin Timmons of Lancaster; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mr. Timmons was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Grady Timmons and Mr. Clyde Timmons.
The funeral service for Mr. Timmons will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 1998 at Hartley Funeral Home by the Rev. Joel Rhyner. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Th family of Mr. Timmons will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
Hartley Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. William Rollin ``Dub" Timmons, 71, died April 15, 1998. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Charleen Helton Ishmael, 68, of 1003 West Mauney Avenue, died April 15, 1998 at the Rehabilitation and Health Center.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late James Odell and Etta Faye Harbin Helton, a member of Grace Baptist Church, former Sunday School Teacher and Adult Sunday School Director, Missions Director and Choir Member, graduate of Gastonia High School, attended Queens College, Evans College, and CPCC. She was a former President of Credit Women's Breakfast Club and also was a retired office manager of Jefferies Enterprises.
Survivors include a son, Michael Lewis Greene of Gastonia; grandchildren, Rebecca Michelle Gomez, Tammy Annette Greene and Melissa Jane Greene, all of Gastonia; and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Don Mott, officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday at Ward Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tom Jefferies, Bill Byrd, Robert Barnes, John Ishmael, Gene Jefferies, and Weaver Byrd.

Mrs. Edna Presson Lane, 91, lifelong resident of Huntersville, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at University Hospital.
Edna was born February 6, 1907, only child to the late Emma Helms Presson and William Augustus Presson. Mrs. Lane was the wife of Robert Glenn Lane who preceded her in death on April 23, 1970. She was a retired merchant of Lane's Clothing Store in Huntersville.
Mrs. Lane was the longest time member of the First Baptist Church in Huntersville. She was baptized on May 26, 1918, in the Catawba River. At First Baptist, she actively participated in many ministries, including church organist, W.M.U. and Y.W.A. director, and was involved in the Baptist Women of the Church. She also served as Assistant Superintendent and pianist of Adult I Sunday School Department.
She was a member of the Huntersville Woman's Club. Mrs. Lane was a piano teacher for the youth in the Huntersville area. Her long and productive life is a legacy and an example of generosity, selflessness, and commitment to her friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the First Baptist Church in Huntersville by the Rev. S.M. Dorton. Burial will follow in the Huntersville Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 1998, at Almond, Raymer & McConnell Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.
She is survived by Bill and Helen Presson, Suzy, Billy, Ryn, and Neely Crawford, Jerri, Eddie and William Haigler, Mrs. Christine Holbrook and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Huntersville Music Program, 119 North Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.

Mr. Julius S. Furman, 75, of Charlotte, died April 15, 1998 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Mr. Furman was born July 18, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Frank Furman and Bessie Zinn Furman. He served in United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II and the Korean conflict where he received the Purple Heart. Mr. Furman graduated from Texas Western University. He had been a resident of Charlotte since 1957. He retired from Homelite-Textron in Charlotte. He was a life member and past chairman of Carolinas Southern Piedmont Chapter of American Society for Materials.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Sunday, April 19, 1998 from the graveside of the Hebrew Cemetery in Charlotte.
Mr. Furman is survived by Joseph Alan Furman of Boone, NC and a daughter, Judith Ann Cooper of Wilmington, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Smith Furman and brother, George Furman.
McEwen Funeral Service, Pineville Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Furman.

Mr. Logan Alan Carver, age 6 of Dallas died at Carolinas Medical Center April 15th. A native of Gaston County, student at Carr Elementary School. Played basketball and Tee Ball for the Dallas Optomist Club.
He is survived by his parents Roger and Molly Carver of the home; two sisters Treasure and April Carver of the home. Grandparents Roger and Libby Glance, of Bessemer City and Barbara Carver of Stanley and the late Verlin Carver.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 PM in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with the Rev. Charles Brumley officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home 7-9 PM Friday night and at other times at 2116 Hephizibah Church Road. Burial in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Mrs. Isabella Boggs, of 101 Truman Street, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ninety-Six, SC, a member of the Morning Glory Chapter No. 281, Order of Eastern Star and a retired school teacher of Laurens School District No. 55.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. W.T. Boggs, Sr. of the home; one son, W.T. Boggs, Jr. of Laurens, SC; one daughter, Loretta Boggs Griffin of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Carnell Robinson of Ninety-Six, SC; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ninety-Six, SC, with burial in the church cemetery.
Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, SC, is in charge of arrangements.

Nadine Z. Redano, 79, of 1612 Belmar Dr., died April 5, 1998 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
A native of N.J., she was a retired nurse's aid. Surviving are her son, Richard T. Redano of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mary Wolosenka of Corning, NY; and one grandson, David Spartak Redano of Houston, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:45 a.m. at Gaston Memorial Park with the Rev. George Kloster officiating.
Carothers Funeral Home of Gastonia is serving the family of Ms. Redano.

Mr. ``Jack" Donald Edens, 74, of 1317 Bose Avenue, died Thursday, April 16, 1998 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Mr. Edens was a native of Rosman, NC. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Edens was a retired Quality Control Inspector from Hoechst Celanese with 40 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran and served in WWII. He is survived by his brother, Dan Edens of Brevard, NC and his sister, Mildred Kilpatrick of Brevard, NC.
Funeral services are to be announced.

Mr. Eddie Dewey Lipsey, 87, of Brian Center, died Thursday, April 16, 1998 at Gaston Mem. Hospital.
A native of Cherokee County, SC, son of the late Bunyon & Engie Jane Harris Lipsey. He was a retired textile employee.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Howell Lipsey; step-daughter & step-son-in-law, Polly J. & Tom Graham of Gastonia; brothers, Frank D. Lipsey of Jonesville, SC, Elbert W. Lipsey of Gaffney, SC; sisters, Violet Lipsey Ivey of Union, SC, Kathleen Lipsey Outzs of Union, SC, Margaret Lipsey Bolin of Gaffney, SC; numerous nieces & nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 AM Saturday at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery, Gaffney, SC with Dr. Richard Harrison & Rev. Melvin Hampton officiating. Body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services. Visitation is 10-11 AM Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church, Gowdeyville Rd., Gaffney, SC 29340 or to donors favorite charity.

Charlene Pruitt Ingle, 80, of 2357 Bess Chapel Church Road, died April 16, 1998 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Born in Gaston County, NC, she was the spouse of the late David Leroy Ingle, daughter of the late William ``Bill" and Maude Roberts Pruitt, and preceded her step daughter, Linda I. Towery, in death.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral is 3 p.m. Saturday at Carpenter's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Love, officiating. Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Harold Conway Parham, 77, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998. Funeral is 11 AM Friday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Haynes officiating. Burial in City Memorial Park, Salisbury, NC.

Mr. Horace Lee Honeycutt, 64, died April 15, 1998. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
