Mrs. Helen Criminger Hinson, 72, wife of Mr. John B. Hinson of 1158 Bailey Road, Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. She was born July 3, 1925, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Chalmers Hoyt and Lizzie Johnson Criminger. Mrs. Hinson was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 1998 at 4:00 p.m. from the Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel by the Rev. Buford Hayes and the Rev. Dr. Archie Neal. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hinson is survived by her husband, Mr. John B. Hinson; a son, Mr. Mike Hinson of Lancaster; three daughters, Ms. Dianne Phillips, Mrs. Thomas (Kathy) Johnson, and Ms. Mary Beth Hoffman all of Lancaster; a brother, Mr. Ray Criminger of Lancaster; five sisters, Mrs. Lynn (Willene) Gardner of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. Mildred Kennington, Mrs. Bob (Mary) Faulkenberry, Mrs. Frank (Marcene) Neal, and Mrs. Nellie Bradley all of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Building - Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
The family will receive friends from seven until nine p.m. Thursday, April 16, 1998 from the Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel and other times at the home, 1158 Bailey Road, Lancaster.

Cassandra Spencer Bejarano, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died April 6, 1998. Funeral services were held April 7 in Tuscon, AZ. A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 5232 The Plaza, Charlotte, on Saturday, April 18, at 3pm.
Mrs. Bejarano was born October 23, 1963 the daughter of the late Cecil C. Spencer and Charlotte Bise Spencer.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Bejarano of Tuscon, AZ; children, Tommy, Jonathan, Laura, Eddie, C.J. and Michael; sister, Carolyn Lescalleet of Oak Ridge, TN; brother, Cecil C. Spencer, Jr. of Thomasville, NC; and her mother Charlotte Bise Spencer.

Dennis Wilburn Hollifield, 76, died Monday, May 11, 1998. Funeral is 2 PM Thursday at Drum Funeral Home, Conover. Burial in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 PM Wednesday at Drum Funeral Home.
Henry ``Don" Donald Parker, Sr., 68, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998. Memorial services will be 6 PM Thursday at Round Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be following the service with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating.
James Jay T. Isom Sr., ``Big Ike", 84, of 120 Matton St., Charlotte, NC, died May 19, 1998 at his residence.
Funeral is 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 1998 at United House of Prayer Third Ward Mission with Apostle Henry Williams, officiating. Burial will be in York Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Born in York County, South Carolina, he was a maintenance director for the City of Charlotte Cemeteries. Mr. Isom was also a deacon at the United House of Prayer and a Gray Soldier.
Survivors include his sons, James Isom, Jr. (Janice), Ronald Barr, step-son, Willie Johnson (Minnie), daughter, Ms. Sarah Jane Isom Hawkins, step-daughters, Ms. Joyce Isom Jackson, all of Charlotte, and Mrs. Lillie Boules of Brooklyn, NY; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will be at the home of the son, James Isom, 3414 Barringer Dr.

Mrs. Allie Hart Breeze, 86, of Matthews, NC, died Monday, May 11, 1998 at Presbyterian Hospital, Matthews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel with the Reverend Jim Banks and the Reverend Wendell Davis, officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Breeze was born in Pitt County, NC on June 15, 1911, the daughter of the late William Thomas Hart and Irene Sylivant Hart. She was a member of International Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of Midwood Baptist Church. During World War II, Mrs. Breeze and her husband owned and operated B & H Leather in Portsmouth, Va., a company which made welding jackets and gas masks from leather which were used by our troops during the War. Mrs. Breeze was the past owner and operator of the Casa Rancho Motor Lodge in Charlotte. She was a past member of the Order of the Easter Star and was a member of the Happy Times Club.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda B. Surrett and husband, John of Matthews; grandchildren, Alicia S. Felder and husband, Jarrett, Sharolyn Beth Surrett and Patrick Crosby Surrett; 1 great granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth and also several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Doris F. Ladd. Mrs Breeze was preceded in death by her husband, Crosby A. Breeze; brothers, Thomas Franklin Hart, Leslie Sylivant Hart and William Owen Hart; and sister, Vera Mae Hart Barrow.

Mrs. Lillie Ivey Davidson, 94, died Monday, May 11, 1998 at Chesterfield Convelesant Center in Cheraw.
Born in Richmond County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie William Ivey, she was a member of the Wallace Emanuel Holiness Church where she was church pianist for many years.
Survivors include grandchildren, MacBone of Cheraw, SC, Nina Frazier of Cheraw, SC, Wanda K. Chavis of Bennettsville, SC; 6 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.

Mr. William ``Bill" Arthur Crowe, Sr., 68, of Charlotte, died May 12, 1998 at his residence.
Mr. Crowe was born June 9, 1929 in Gaston County, North Carolina. He worked for 38 years with Piedmont Airlines as a salesman before his retirement.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Crowe will be held 11:00 am Thursday, May 14, 1998 from the graveside of Sharon Memorial Park.
Mr. Crowe is survived by his sons, William Arthur Crowe, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric Crowe of Richmond, VA and a granddaughter, Paeyton Crowe of Richmond, VA.

Mr. Reggie Boyd Russell, 64, of Charlotte, NC, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
Mr. Russell was born August 17, 1933 in Albemarle, NC. He worked for North Carolina Air National Guard. Mr. Russell was a veteran in the United States Air Force, Chief Master Sergeant.
Funeral service for Mr. Russell will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 1998 at Matthews United Methodist Church with Doctor Ken Lyon officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Trail Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 1998 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Crowell Russell; son, Gregory Russell; step children, Don and Keith Patterson and Sam Phifer; two grandchildren, Brandon and Hayley, all of Charlotte.

Ann ``Anne" Marie Banks, 48, of Charlotte died Monday, May 11, 1998, at Hospice of Wendover in Shelby of cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, in Wilson Funeral Chapel.
Anne was a native of Charlotte and attended East Mecklenburg High School. Her spirit is at rest.
Surviving are two sons, J.O. Gordon of Shelby and Jerry Banks of Charlotte; mother, Beulah S. Banks of Charlotte; a brother, John Banks and his wife, Sandy, of South Bend, IN; three sisters, Barbara Miller and her husband, Roy, of Mt. Holly, Shirley Banks and Sharon Banks, both of Charlotte; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Glenn Haley, 63, of Charlotte, formerly of Ashland, Ohio, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15, 1998, at 1 p.m. in St. John Episcopal Church on Carmel Road.
Born November 6, 1934, Glenn was the son of the late Harold Glenn and Mary Myrtle Lee Haley. Mr. Haley was a longtime Ashland, Ohio resident, and had served with the US Army during the Korean War. A Charlotte resident for 12 years, Glenn was employed as a Technical Manager for Sunoco/Engraph Co. and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa D. Haley of the home; five children; and seven grandchildren.
