BLACKSBURG - Dr. R. Larry Rednour, 61, of 139 Roberts Road, Blacksburg, SC, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney, SC.

He was a native of Gaston Co., NC, son of the late John Edgar & Nannie Naomi Brown Rednour. He was a graduate of Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced Chiropractic for over 37 years in North & South Carolina. He was an avid farmer and and lover of animals.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Grigg Rednour of Blacksburg; sons & daughters-in-law, Bob R. Rednour, DVM & wife, Davelyn of Raleigh, Brad J. & Lisa Rednour of Atlanta, GA, Mike A. & Candy Rednour of Blacksburg, Rodney J. & Lisa Rednour of Gastonia; daughter, Nancy D. Rednour of Charlotte, NC; brothers, John E. Rednour of Pascagoula, Miss, Raymond J. Rednour of Gastonia, Herman L. Rednour of Gastonia; sisters, Mary A. Gibson of Harrisburg, NC, Eunice McClellan of Tampa, FL, Faye Rednour of Concord, NC, Anne McCracken of Rural Retreat, VA; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2001 at Antioch Baptist Church, Antioch, SC. Pastor Kevin Kellough will be officiating. Interment: Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation: 6-9:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2001 at McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia. Pallbearers: Wayne Rednour, Mark Rednour, Jason Painter, Steve Bowen, Marc Wells and Robbie Lynch.

Memorials: New Testament Church of the Firstborn, 1510 Hargrove Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

McLean Funeral Directors will be serving the Rednour family.

Browning, Constance "Connie"' Eugenia Troutman
CONCORD - Constance "Connie"' Eugenia Troutman Browning, 53, died January 24, 2001. Funeral 3pm Saturday, Hartsell Funeral Home. Burial, Harrisburg Baptist Church Cem. Vstn 7-9pm Friday at the funeral home.

Hooper, Talmadge Lee
FAIRFAX - Talmadge Lee Hooper, age 67, died Wed., Jan. 24, 2001. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Sat., Januay 27, 2001 Hartsell Funeral Home-Concord. Burial, Carolina Mem. Pk., Kannapolis. Visitation 7-9 PM Fri. at funeral home.

Mandeville, Robert Lee
FLOWER MOUND, TX - Robert Lee Mandeville, 57, of Flower Mound, TX, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 at his home. He was born in Rockford, IL on Oct. 24, 1943 to Richard and Dorothy (Hetrick) Mandeville. He was married to Donna Paulson in 1963 in Madison, WI. He attended public schools and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of Hillcrest Church of Dallas. He was employed as a Certified Public Accountant with the Unitrin Corp. of Dallas.

Memorials services will be held 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2001 in the Chapel of Roselawn Cemetery in Madison, WI. Rev. Foster Trout, officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Madison, WI.

Mr. Mandeville is survived by his wife, Donna Mandeville, Flower Mound, TX; daughter, Valerie Beebe, Fort Mill, SC; parents, Richard and Dorothy Mandeville, Oregon, WI; sister, Connie Mitchell, Brooklyn, WI; and grandson, Ray Beebe, Fort Mill, SC.

Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville, TX is in charge of arrangements.

Brimer, Robert Glenn "Farmer"
GASTONIA - Robert Glenn "Farmer" Brimer, 45, died Jan. 24, 2001. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene funeral service (Southside Chapel). Burial, Gaston Mem. Pk. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mitchell, Clara
GASTONIA - Clara Mitchell, 96, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

A native of Swain Co., NC, she was daughter of the late Isaiah & Annie Crisp Calhoun. She was wife of the late Jesse A. Mitchell, retired from Firestone Mill after 32 years, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, J.B. Mitchell and Jerry Mitchell, both of Gastonia; daughter, Barbara Jenkins of Gastonia; brother, Harry Calhoun of Gastonia; grandchildren, Dennis Mitchell, David Mitchell, Jan Mitchell, Jon Mitchell, Sheila Parker, Sherry Maples, Genia Jones, Butch Mitchell, Marlise Lowrimore, Dean Mitchell and Susan Murphy; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held today (Friday) at 2:30 PM at McLean Funeral Directors. Rev. Steve Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Mitchell's grandsons, Dennis Mitchelll, David Mitchell, Dean Mitchell, Butch Mitchell, Steve Jones and David Maples.

The Family will receive friends today (Friday) at 2:00-2:30 prior to the service at McLean Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 701 Littlejohn St., Gastonia, NC 28052 Or to Puett United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 3009 Puetts Chapel Road, Dallas, NC 28034.

Proctor, Ruby "Dot" Lee Bailey
GASTONIA - Mrs. Ruby "Dot" Lee Bailey Proctor, 66, died on Jan. 25, 2001. Graveside service will be conducted 2 PM Sat., Jan. 27, 2001 Westview Gardnes. Visitation is 7-9 PM Friday at the Sisk-Butler Funeral Home of Bessemer City.

Smith, Herman C.
HAMLET - Herman C. Smith, 82, died Thurs., Jan. 25, 2001. Funeral is 11:00 AM Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Visitation is 7-8:30 PM Friday at Carter Funeral Home.

Branch, Jewel Bennett
HICKORY - Jewel Bennett Branch, 70, died January 25, 2001. Funeral 2:30pm Sunday at First Baptist Church. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation 6-8pm Saturday at Bass-Smith Funeral Home.

Poindexter, Eulalia Crapps
HICKORY - Eulalia Crapps Poindexter, age 94, died Jan. 24, 2001. Funeral is 11:00 AM Sat. at First Baptist Church. Burial, Catawba Mem. Pk., Hickory. Visitation 6-8 PM Fri. home of Joy & John Stroupe, Hickory. Bass-Smith F.H. is in charge.

Pauley, Thelma M.
JONESVILLE, MI - Thelma M. Pauley, age 89, of Jonesville, Michigan passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born January, 1912 in Midland County, Michigan to Elmer and Rosella (Kendall) Hock. She married Walter K. Pauley and preceded her on September 17, 1983.

Thelma has spent the majority of her life in Jonesville and attended the Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Gordon of Charlotte, NC and son, Skip Pauley of Charlotte, MI. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, son, Bud in 1996, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services for Thelma Pauley will be held Saturday 2:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-Jonesville officiated by Pastor Max Masters and Pastor Rick Maloyed . Visitation will be Friday 2-4 PM and 608 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bird Lake Bible School, 7880 S. Bird Lk. Rd., Osseo, MI 49226. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home.

Eugene Hope Earnhardt (Buddy)
KANNAPOLIS - Mr. Eugene Hope Earnhardt (Buddy), age 40, died Wed., Jan. 24, 2001. A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Sat. at Carolina Mem. Pk. Visitation is 1-2 Pm Sat. at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC.

Angle, Marsha Shoe
KANNAPOLIS - Mrs. Marsha Shoe Angle, 39, of Cimmaron Circle, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at Northeast Medical Center, Concord.

Born on March 3, 1961, in Concord, she was a daughter of Geneva Carroll Williams, of Mt. Mourne, and the late Harold A. Shoe. Mrs. Angle was a graduate of Mooresville High School. She was a homemaker and Certified Nurses Assistant. Mrs. Angle was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Shoe.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Angle is survived by her husband, Hank W. Angle, whom she married May 23, 1986; children, Ashlee and Steven Angle, both of the home; step-children, Crystal Angle Henderson, of Connelly Springs, and Regina Angle, of Hickory; brothers, Jerry Shoe, Doug Shoe, and Tim Shoe, all of Locust, and Phil Shoe, of Mooresville; twin sister, Denise Grindstaff, of Concord, and sisters, Rhonda Covington and Renee Wingate, both of Mooresville; and grandchildren, Sarah Henderson and Anissa Gouge.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2001, at Southside Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Dr. D. Steven Gouge and Rev. Eddie Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2001, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 525 S. Broad St., Mooresville, NC 28115.

Brooks, Gladys L.
KANNAPOLIS - Mrs. Gladys L. Brooks, 75, of 102 South Rose Ave., died Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Services will be held 3pm Saturday at Central Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 7-9pm Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Livengood, Preston James
KANNAPOLIS - Mr. Preston James Livengood, age 91, died Jan. 24, 2001. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Schneider, Frank Ernest
KERSHAW - Mr. Frank Ernest Schneider, 82, of 306 Neal Street, Kershaw, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at the Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born January 7, 1919, in Emmett, Indiana, a son of the late Ernest and Jeanette Sams Schneider. Mr. Schneider was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served over twenty-six years. He was a Mason and had been a member of the Butte Lodge #37 in Emmett, Indiana since 1959.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2000 at 2:00 PM from the Sand Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Patrick Minihane. Burial with Masonic Rites and Full Military Honors will be in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife, Mrs. Allen Knight Schneider; a son, Mr. Darrell Hinson of Kershaw; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, PO Box 607, Maldin, SC 29662.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM, Friday, January 26, 2001 at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel and other times of Mr. Darrell Hinson, 247 Neal Street, Kershaw.

Goins, Dawn Laikin
LAKE WYLIE - Mrs. Dawn Laikin Goins, age 32, of 53 Honeysuckle Woods, died Jan. 24, 2001 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at River Hills Community Church, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Jones, Rev. Jeffrey Vickery and Rev. Tonya Vickery.

Interment will be in the River Hills Community Church Cemetery.

Born June 10, 1968 in Miami, FL, Mrs. Goins was the daughter of Andrew R. Laikin and Lynn Nilsson Laikin. She was a graduate of Charlotte Christian School and attended Montreat College, Black Mountain, NC. She was an active member of River Hills Community Church where she served on the pre-school board.

Surviving are her husband, Larry H. Goins of the home; one daughter, Linda Ann Goins of the home; parents, Andrew and Lynn Laikin of Melbourne, FL; brother and sister-in-law, David and Renvia Laikin of Miami, FL; grandmother, Jo Nell Nilsson of Melbourne, FL.

Memorials may be made to River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton's Ferry Rd., Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
