CAMILLUS, NY - Mrs. Olga M. Burns, age 69 of Camillus, NY, formerly of Marietta, NY died January 25, 2001 at Community-General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Monday from the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home & 10:00 AM in The St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery in Syracuse, New York. The family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home, 1609 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, New York. Panahyda Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burns was born in Syracuse, New York. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and was a Communicant of St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard M. Burns August 7, 2000 and son, Richard, in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Koloski of Camillus; sons, Michael Burns of China Grove, NC, David Burns of Belmar, NJ, Robert Burns of New Bern, NC; sisters, Anne Pavia of Westvale, Helen Rogala of Syracuse; and 5 grandchildren.

ABERDEEN - Randall "Rick" C. Tate, 80, died Jan. 25, 2001. A graveside service will be 3pm Saturday at Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Boles Funeral Home and Crematory on Sat. from Noon til 2pm.
Yount, Bertha E.
Mrs. Bertha E. Yount, age 97 of 6101 Elmwood Circle died January 26, 2001 at Wesley Care. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Thrift United Methodist Church, 8245 Moores Chapel Road. Reverend Loretta Allen Stutz, Reverend Paul Yount and Doctor Tom Sigmon will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence, 6101 Elmwood Circle. Mrs. Yount was born March 9, 1903 in Catawba County, NC daughter of the late William Laban and Eudora Yount Cline. She was a former member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church and Sharon United Methodist Church and currently a member of Thrift United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Durham and her husband, Bill of Charlotte and a son, Reverend Paul W. Yount and his wife, Jean of Hendersonville, NC; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Her pallbearers will be Blake Wofford, Seth Wofford, Billy Woods, Richard Allen, Tommy Wofford, Trevor Gibson, Daniel Reckard, Wilson Sherrill, Lee Boryczewski, Brian Allen and Mike Woods.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Thrift United Methodist Church, PO Box 205, Paw Creek, NC 28130. The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Care for the love and care given Mrs. Yount during her stay at Wesley Care.

Vore, Lorenzo Allen
Mr. Lorenzo Allen Vore, - 72, of Indian Trail died January 25, 2001 at Hospice of Union County. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 27, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte with Chaplain Vickie Tuggle, officiating.
Mr. Vore was born July 31, 1928 in Dunkirk, IN to the late Homer and Minnie Vore. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Angel Baker and a grandson, Steve Vore.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Vore of Indian Trail; four sons, Michael Vore of Monroe, Patrick Vore of Ft. Mill, Danny Vore of Polkton and Randy Vore of Clover; two daughters, Madonna Baker of Charlotte and Dianna Greene of Indian Trail. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.

Ramsey, Ruby Marshall
Mrs. Ruby Marshall Ramsey, age 88 of Charlotte, died Friday, January 26, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1912 in Rutherford County, NC, daughter of the late William Mashall, and Lucy Aileen Wease Marshall. Mrs. Ramsey graduated Mt. Vernon High School and attended Appalachian State. She was a member of Dilworth Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 45 years. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Senior Citizens Club at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 11 AM Monday, January 29, 2001 at McEwen funeral service Charlotte Chapel officiated by The Reverend Jim Posey. Interment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellenboro, NC at 2 PM. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2001 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel from 3 until 5 PM.
Survivors include two daughters, Aileen Thompson and Joyce Ramsey, both of Charlotte; three sons, Donald Ramsey of York, SC; Arnold Ramsey and Coran Ramsey, both of Charlotte; two sisters, Ethel Marshall, of Forest City, NC; Lillie Huntley, of Ellenboro, NC; one brother Lee Marshall of Gainesville, GA; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Merrill, Juanita Frances Marion
Mrs. Juanita Frances Marion Merrill, 87, of Charlotte died January 25, 2001 at Hospice House of Union County. Graveside Services celebrating her homegoing will be held at 3 PM Monday, January 29 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Hamm officiating.
Mrs. Merrill was born August 31, 1912 in Portland, OR to Leo and Edith Marion. She was predeceased by her husband, Riley Judson Merrill; a daughter, Maureen Farver and a grandson, Brian Merrill. Juanita loved her role as a homemaker and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Cathedral of the Cross Church.
Her survivors include her son, John F. "Jack" Merrill and wife Roberta of Charlotte; and by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Lancaster, Ms. Eastee
Ms. Eastee Lancaster, age 79 of 1503 Southwood Avenue, Charlotte, NC died January 20, 2001 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Mother House of Prayer, Charlotte, with Apostle Young officiating. Burial will be at York Memorial Gardens in Charlotte. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 PM Saturday at Mother House of Prayer.
Ms. Lancaster, a retiree, was last employed as a homemaker /Private Duty Nurse. She was a member of the House of Prayer Back the Attack, President of the High Lights.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Kay Frances Davis (Calvin) of Savannah, Ga.; grandchildren, Loretta Lancaster, Nanette Lancaster, Rozyln Lancaster, all of LA, Calif.; great grandchildren, Janon Lancaster, Jeremiah Lancaster, both of LA, Calif.; sister, Sister Odessa Barnette of Charlotte; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.

Haughton, Gerald Lawrence
Mr. Gerald Lawrence Haughton, 70, of Charlotte, NC, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at Wesley Care Center. He was born in Charlotte, NC, on November 1, 1930, a son of the late Alexander Andrews Haughton and Blanch Yandle Haughton.
Mr. Haughton attended the Charlotte schools, graduating from Central High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant in Strategic Arms Command from 1955-1957.
Mr. Haughton is survived by his brother, Alexander A. Haughton, Jr., and his two sisters, Bettie H. McLaughlin and Patricia M. McAlister.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for all the loving kindness given by relatives, Hospice, and the staff at Wesley Care Center.
A private graveside service was held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2001, at Elmwood Cemetery with the Reverend Fred Paschall officiating.

Donaldson, William Herbert
Mr. William Herbert Donaldson, 71, died Thursday, January 25, 2001.
Services for Mr. Donaldson will be held 2:00 PM at Whitner-Evans Funeral Home, Bennettsville, SC, with burial in Parnassus United Methodist Church cemetery.

Mr. Donaldson was born in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Annie Lee Traywick Donaldson. He was a retired office manager with Suburban Propane and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Parnassus United Methodist Church and was married to the late Peggy S. Donaldson.
Surviving are: a step-son, Tom Moore, of Rock Hill, brothers, John Terrell Donaldson, of Inwood, WV, Clarence Donaldson, of Bennettsville, sisters, Mrs. Mary D. Traywick, of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Annie D. Dees, of Bennettsville, and grandchildren, Daniel Gregg Moore and Jason Thomas Moore.
Chen, Hsia Boa
Hsia Boa Chen 50 of Charlotte died Sunday, January 21, 2001 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2001 in the Pineville Chapel of McEwen funeral service.
Born June 6, 1950 in China, Mr. Chen is the son of Po Yuang Chen and Shang Jui Lui Chen. With his wife, he was the owner of several restaurants in Charlotte.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Chen is survived by his wife, Lucy Chen; son, Andy Chen and daughter, Anna Chen all of Charlotte. His parents and stepdaughter Angela Clark of Atlanta and two brothers and three sisters also survive him. Arrangements by McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service, Pineville Chapel.
