Elton Fuller Gallop
Elton Fuller Gallop, Jr., 55, of Wanchese died Monday, Oct. 27 in Elizabeth City.
Born in Wanchese, he was the son of the late Elton Fuller and Iris Williams Gallop. Sr., and the husband of Clara Hooper Gallop.
He was retired from Marine Maintenance.
He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and had been a member of Roanoke Island Fire Department for 15 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Carla Gallop of Wanchese; one son, Elton F. Gallop III of Kill Devil Hills; three sisters, Ruby Johnson of Chesapeake, Va., Rose Whidbee of Virginia Beach, Va., and Beryl Williams of Wanchese; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. in Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Supplee and Dr. David Dalton officiating.
Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery.
Friends may join the family at Twiford's Funeral Home, Saturday, from 7-9 p.m.

Calvin Jordan
Calvin Jordan, 78, died Dec. 3 at the Outer Banks Hospital.
Born in Seaboard, N.C., he was the son of the late Henry Jordan and Sallie Ransom Jordan and the husband of Wilhemenia Artis Jordan of the home.
He was a production manager for Bendix Aviation Company in Teterboro, N.J. for 28 years.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and The Knights of Columbus.
He was a veteran, having served for seven years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jo Theresa Jenkins of Somerset, N.J.; three sons, Charles Jordan of Silver Spring, MD, Keith Jordan of Kensington, MD and Brian Jordan of Brookeville, MD; two sisters, Dorothy Jordan of Seaboard and Bernice Emanuel of Silver Spring, MD; one brother, Carl Jordan of Marietta, GA and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Dec. 9 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Bill Stickle officiating.
Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lucille Costin Lamb
Lucille Costin Lamb, 84, of Nags Head, formerly of Grifton, died Thursday, Nov. 27, at the Outer Banks Hospital.
Born in Pender County, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Leona Matthews Costin and the widow of Leon "Jack" H. Lamb.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grifton, a bookkeeper and secretary of the Wake County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
She graduated from Adkinson High School and received her business certificate from Campbell Junior College.
She was a member of the Grifton Garden Club and a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Lamb of Nags Head and Sylvia Lamb of Macon, Ga.
Funeral services will held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with David DeVane officiating.
Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

Ruby Story Midgett
Ruby Story Midgett, of Manteo, died Sunday, Oct. 5 at her residence.
Born in Brunswick, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Ed and Martha McCullen and the wife of Chesley C. "Buddy" Midgett Jr. of the home.
She and her husband owned and operated Food-A-Rama in Chesley Mall in Manteo and Kitty Hawk Plaza.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Wanchese and was a former choir member.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Midgett.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jackie Parker of Wanchese and Patty Midgett of Palm Bay, Fl; one son, Don Royals of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, Bet Davis and Pansy Corlett, both of Brunswick, Ga.; one brother, Seaborn Story, also of Brunswick, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Bethany United Methodist Church in Wanchese Oct. 9.
Burial followed in Cudworth Cemetery.

Kianna Nicole and Brianna Denise Mitchell
Kianna Nicole and Brianna Denise Mitchell, stillborn twins, died Nov. 19 in a Suffolk, Va. hospital.
Parents of the twins are Corey Mitchell of Kill Devil Hills and Lauren Stillman of Corolla.
Besides their parents, the twins are survived by a brother, Isaiah Stillman of Corolla; maternal grandparents, Carla and David Dig Rugulliers of Corolla and paternal grandparents Elise and Terry Choates of Kill Devil Hills.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Delores Collins Witt O'Neal
Delores Collins Witt O'Neal, 75, died Monday, Nov. 3 at her residence.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willard G. Collins and Anna Grace Maybury Collins and the wife of Earl W. O'Neal, Jr. of the home, and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Ocracoke United Methodist Church and was a volunteer worker for the Preservation Society Museum.
Besides her husband survivors include one daughter, Sharon M. Breidert of Bedford, VA; one son, Mark O'Neal of Simpsonville, SC: two sisters, Phillis A. Wiggans of Macon, MO and Carolyn Prenter of Virginia; one brother, W. Gordon Collins, Jr, of Oakland, CA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Nov. 6 at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church with Rev. Joyce Reynolds officiating.

Grady F. Owens
Grady F. Owens, 77, of Port Charlotte, FL died Sunday, Nov. 23 at his residence.
He was born in Norfolk, VA on April 20, 1926 and moved to Port Charlotte in 1993 from Charlottesville, VA.
He was a retired truck driver for Amoco Oil Company, an veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2121 of Port Charlotte.
Mr. Owens is survived by a son, Charles Owens of Baltimore, MD; a niece, Kathryn Moore Falk of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mary Owens Moore of Virginia Beach and Diana Clark of Chesapeake; caregivers, Franklin and Jeannette Paul land Anna Demkiw, all of Port Charlotte, FL.
A graveside service will be held Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Tillett Family Cemetery in Wanchese.
