ALICE BURNETTE
Alice Gay Pitt Burnette, 89, died Saturday, March 17, 2007.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Caroll Bradberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Wombles Family Cemetery near Temperance Hall.
Burnette is survived by her daughters, Polly Edmondson of Pinetops, Ellen Morris of Crisp and Carolyn Baker of the St. Lewis community; son, Johnny Pitt of St. Lewis; stepdaughter, Patricia Burnette of Richmond, Va.; stepson, Keith Burnette of Richmond, Va.; sister, Peggy Causway of Pinetops; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Peace Free Will Baptist Church in Pinetops.
The family will received friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Carlisle Funeral home and will receive them at other times at the home of Carolyn Baker, 717 St. Lewis Road, Macclesfield.

Alfonzo Jenkins, 40, died Saturday, March 17, 2007.

ROY ALFONZA THOMAS
Roy Alfonza Thomas, 69, died Thursday, March 15, 2007.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at the Mildred Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Council Family Cemetery.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Jennie Edwards Thomas of the home; two sons, Darwin Alfonso Thomas of Greensboro and Maurice Terrence Thomas of Durham; one daughter, Donna Lynn Coles of Oxford; two sisters, Dorothy Snowden of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jacqueline Hart of Durham; five brothers, Richard Thomas, Bennie Thomas and David Thomas, all of Durham, Alton Thomas of Wake Forest, and Michael Thomas of Augusta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.

Lillian Beatrice Dickens, 90, died Monday, March 19, 2007.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Cornell Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Gethsemane in Rocky Mount.
Dickens is survived by her sons, John Henry Dickens of Tarboro, Isaac Graham of Rocky Mount, Elijah Dickens Jr. of Rocky Mount and James Earl Dickens of Rocky Mount; daughters, Earline Dickens of Tarboro, Sallie Battle of Rocky Mount and Hattie Bullock of Rocky Mount; 22 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Jenkins is survived by his parents Alfonza Jenkins Sr. and Peggy Jenkins of the home; brother, Clyde Jenkins of Alexandria, Va.; and sisters, Peggy Jenkins of Atlanta, Ga., and Beverly Manley of Durham.

DYLAN P. WEBB
Pinetops — Dylan Parker Webb, 8, died Friday, July 6, 2007.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Pinetops Baptist Church with the Rev. John Melancon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinetops Cemetery.
Webb is survived by his mother, Tracy Harrel Webb of Nashville; father, James Keith Webb of Pinetops; a sister, Negan Elizabeth Webb of Pinetops, brother, Alec Paeden Webb of Pinetops; maternal grandmother, Jackie Patterson of Nashville; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Rebecca Webb of Pinetops; paternal great-grandfather, Joseph P. Penny of Rocky Mount and many aunts uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Carlisle Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bobby and Rebecca Webb at, 8677 Temperance Hall Road, Pinetops.

EDWARD RAY 'EDDIE' PILGREEN
Edward Ray “Eddie” Pilgreen, 28, of Tarboro, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastors Ricky Freeman and Ricky Forkum officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
Eddie was born in Edgecombe County July 19, 1979 to Mike and Diane Britt Pilgreen. He served with the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Department for two years and was currently attending the Rocky Mount Police Academy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Britt and paternal grandmother, Nina Pilgreen, and aunt Shirley Taylor.
He is survived by his loving family that includes his fiancée, Teresa Strickland; a son, Mason Tyler Pilgreen of the home; parents, Mike and Diane Pilgreen of Tarboro; two brothers, William “Fatboy” Pilgreen of Greensboro and Danny “PeeWee” Pilgreen of Wilmington; maternal grandmother, Faye Britt of Tarboro; paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Retha Pilgreen of Roanoke Rapids; paternal great-grandmother, Irene Pilgreen of Scotland Neck; an aunt, Donna Medlin of Conetoe; two uncles, Doug Pilgreen of Scotland Neck and Jimmy Pilgreen of Raleigh; along with many other relatives and family friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home of Faye Britt, 117 Mayo St., Tarboro.
