RICKY JOE BLINSON
CARY -- Ricky Joe Blinson, 41, of 3800 Greenleaf Street, died suddenly Sunday, June 13, 1999. Ricky was a welder with Aeroglide Corporation in Raleigh. Memorial service 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel.
Surviving: father and stepmother, Charles and Magdalene Blinson of Middlesex; sons, Ricky Glenn Blinson and Roy Dwayne Blinson, both of Wendell; daughter, Ashley Nicole Blinson of Washington State; sister, Laura B. Berry of Middlesex; mother of Ricky and Roy, Sherry R. Blinson.
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Terry Lewis in 1993 and his brother, Roy Irven Blinson in 1975.
Family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the memorial service from 7:30-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes. Association, 2315-A Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

JERRET J. BLYTHE
CHAPEL HILL -- Jerret Joseph Blythe, infant son of Thomas J. Blythe and Ann Lee-Blythe, died a week before his expected delivery from a probable umbilical cord accident.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kaitlin Lee Blythe; paternal grandparents, Marie and Lloyd Blythe of Surfside Beach; maternal grandparents, Joan and James Lee of Hopewell Junction, NY; paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Tompkins of Hopewell Junction; six uncles; six aunts and 15 cousins. His brother, Jake Thomas Blythe died July 3, 1998.
The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 216 Governor Burke Rd. in Hillsborough. Burial will be in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery, Durham.
Friends will be received 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home, 1113 W. Main St., Durham (across from NC Eye & Ear Hospital).
Memorial contributions may be made to SHARE, St. Joseph Hospital, 300 First Capitol Dr., St. Charles, MO 63301 or to Holy Family Church, 216 Governor Burke Rd. Hillsborough, NC 27278.

BILLY RAY CURRIN
FUQUAY-VARINA -- Billy Ray Currin, 75, died Monday, June 14, 1999 at Mayview Convalescent Home in Raleigh. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington.
Mr. Currin was a World War II Navy Veteran having served in the Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Senter Currin in January 1999.
Surviving, son, William Senter Currin and wife, Stella Hardwick Currin of Fuquay-Varina; a daughter, Candace Currin Taylor and husband, Cary B. Taylor, III of Clinton; granddaughter, Georgia Howard; grandsons, Jess Howard, Senter Currin and Grayson Currin; sisters, Eugenia Earp of Angier, Edna Pepoon of Raleigh, Ophelia Lance of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service and other times at the home of Bill and Stella Currin, 3531 Chalybeate Springs Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ECU Educational Foundation for Student Athlete Scholarship Support, Ward Sports Medicine Building, Greenville, NC 27858-4353 or the charity of one's choice.

PAULINE "POLLY" GAY
RALEIGH -- Pauline "Polly" Gay, of Raleigh, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999 at Rex Hospital.
Surviving are two sisters, Laura Blanche Gay of the home; Rosalie G. Hendricks and husband, Bob of Lexington; four nieces, Gay Elliot and husband, Ret of Mooresville, Robin Robertson and husband, Dan and Ginger Richardson and husband, Bobby, all of Lexington, Becky Eiane and husband, Per of Clarksville, Tenn.; three great-nephews and five great-nieces.
Graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999 in the Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, by Rev. Sheila Barrick.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Funeral Home, 600 Saint Mary's St., Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church Capital Campaign, 111 W. Morgan St., Raleigh, N.C. 27601 or to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's St., Raleigh, N.C. 27605.

MARY ELLEN ODELL GOODNIGHT
KANNAPOLIS -- Mrs. Mary Ellen Odell Goodnight, 76, of Kannapolis, died Monday, June 14, 1999.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Harward of Holly Springs; a sister, Rachel Odell Long of Kannapolis; a brother, James L. Odell of Kannapolis; a granddaughter, Erin Brandon of Holly Springs; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Brandon of Holly Springs.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Lois Cummings, 3630 Bingham Drive, Concord, NC 28027.
Lady's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC is serving the family.

ROBERT D. "GUS" GREEN
YOUNGSVILLE -- Major Robert D. "Gus" Green (USMC, Retired), 78, of 155 Harris Road, formerly of Havelock, died Sunday at Wake Medical Center. Major Green served 22 years of military service and was owner of Village Enterprises in Havelock. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church located on Highway 70 West in Havelock.
Major Green was preceded in death by his wife, Verdelle Brockner Green.
Surviving are his daughters, Pamela G. Rogers of Wakefield, VA, Patricia G. Barczykowski of Youngsville, Penny g. McNutt of Fort Worth, TX; his sons, Patrick Green of Kingsport, TN, Michael Green of Havelock; nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Havelock Fire - Rescue Dept., P.O. Drawer 368 Havelock, NC 28532 or to the Craven County Home Health Hospice, P.O. Box 12610, New Bern, NC 28561.

RALEIGH -- Wilbur Lee Hall, of 3019-D Holston Lane, died Saturday.
Funeral services Thursday 12 p.m. at Lea Funeral Home. Burial, Carolina Biblical Gardens.
Surviving: spouse, Bettye Hall of the home; stepdaughter, Kimberly Gerald of Raleigh; sons, Marcus Hall of Goldsboro and Germaine Hall of Portsmouth, VA; sisters, Maggie Lightfoot of Raleigh, Linda Coplon, Wanda Cannon, and Jacqueline Hall all of New Bern; brothers, William Tyrone Hall of Raleigh, George Hall of Goldsboro, Thomas Johnson, and Joshua Hall both of New Bern; one grandchild.

WALTER T. "HOUSE" KENON JR.
RALEIGH -- Walter T. Kenon, Jr. of 3412 Bell Drive, departed this life on Saturday, June 12th. Funeral, Friday 2 p.m., Walter's Chapel AME Zion Church, Newport, NC. Burial, Newport Community Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara A. Kenon of the home; daughter, Sheree Kenon of the home; stepdaughter, Chandra Alston of Marietta, GA; son, Robert Kenon of the home; father, Walter T. Kenon, Sr. of Newport, NC; brother, William C. Kenon, Sr. of Newport, NC; an aunt, Hallesse Ward of New Bern, NC. Also surviving, nephew, William Kenon Jr., of Charlotte, NC; three great-nieces, Yvette Williams of Columbus, GA, Yvonsha Keith and Ymona Williams both of Atlanta, GA; a special friend, Lula Walker of Newport, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

WILLIAM T. LAWRENCE JR.
CREEDMOOR -- William Lawrence, Jr., 38, died suddenly June 13, 1999. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor, located on Hwy. 56.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the William Thomas Lawrence III account at the Fidelity Bank in Creedmoor

ALICE P. MATTHEWS
CHAPEL HILL -- Alice Poulnot Matthews, died Saturday, June 12, 1999. Born on July 27, 1912 in Jacksonville, FL she traveled extensively throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Earle D. Matthews and daughter, Jan Burmeister.
Surviving are daughter, Claudia Lyons and Gretchen Matthews, both of Durham; son-in-law, Shannon Van Wey; grandchildren, Rebecca Cheatham, Leah Van Wey, Nicholas Burmeister, Elisabeth Burmeister.
Donations may be made to the Triangle Hospice at Meadowlands, Hillsborough.

ROBERT K. McHOSE
WAKE FOREST -- Robert K. McHose, 63 of 1424 Averette Road died Tuesday. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, June 21, 1999 from the St. Johns Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Jerry Fisher officiating.
Surviving is his sons, James McHose, Bill McHose, Doug McHose and his wife Dee Cee all of Wake Forest; mother, Mildred McHose of South River, NJ; grandchildren, Ben McHose, Devan McHose, and Brittany McHose; brothers, Warren McHose of South River, NJ and Jim McHose of Mesa, Arizona.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the St. John's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 830 Durham Rd., Wake Forest, NC 27587, or to the American Heart Association, Triangle Division, 3901 Computer Dr., Raleigh, NC 27609.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service, at the church.

LANDON O. MEADOWS
FUQUAY-VARINA -- Landon Odell Meadows, 68, a retired Navy Commander died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, 1999 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with full military honors.
Surviving, wife, Brenda S. Meadows; daughters, Pamelo Jo Meadows and Nancy Lynn Meadows both of San Diego, California, Kimber Leeann Meadows of Playa de Rey, California; sons, Thomas Earl Meadows of Beverly Hills, California, Donald Lee Meadows of Madison, Wisconsin, John Edward Meadows of Corona, California; sisters, Pat Harrelaon of Lenoir City, Tennessee, Mary Shepard and Margaret Finch both of Morro Bay, California; four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 620 West Morgan Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

MARY CARTER PERRY
WAKE FOREST -- Mary Carter Perry, 79, of 5812 Pulleytown Road, died Monday, June 14, 1999 at her home. She was born in Wake County and was the daughter of the late Charlie Hebrew Perry and Siddie Blanche Edwards Perry. She was a member of Beulah Christian Baptist Church and was married to Fennerson Perry who preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, June 17, 1999 at Beulah Christian Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Tharrington and the Rev. Carl Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her daughters, JoAnn P. Reagan, Paulette P. Parrish and Vickie P. Cozart all of Wake Forest; sons, Roy D. Perry, Sr., Everette W. Perry and Donald W. Perry all of Wake Forest; sisters-in-law, Lucy P. George of Zebulon and Lucy Ann Carter of Wake Forest; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Bright Funeral Home from 7-9 Wednesday evening. (556-5811).
