Jackson Davis
Mr. Ford Jackson Davis, better known as Jackson 62 of North Wilkesboro, NC formerly of Lansing, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at NC Baptist Hospital. Mr. Davis was born April 9, 1946 in Ashe County to Ted and Arlene Greer Davis. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Farmers Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Greer and Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, Sept. 24th at Badger Funeral Home.

Ada Duffin
Mrs. Ada Stanley Sheets Duffin age 98 of Jefferson, NC died Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Segraves Care Center. Mrs. Duffin was born January 3, 1910 in Wilkes County to Robert and Ida Black Stanley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Edson Duffin and son; Clayborn Sheets.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 19, 2008 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A.B. Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Sam Miller cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Thomas William Johnson
Mr. Thomas William Johnson age 93 of Laurel Springs died Monday, September 1, 2008 at his home. Mr. Johnson was born February 10, 1915 in Ashe County to the late Johnny and Ellen Johnson
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lonnie Pruitt and Rev. Brandon Anderson. Burial will follow in the Peak Creek Community cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2pm Thursday prior to the service.

Betty Sue Jarvis
Mrs. Betty Sue McClelland Jarvis age 68 of Fleetwood died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Mrs. Jarvis was born in Iredell County on November 24, 1939 to the late Edward McClelland and Brady Ball McClelland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bob McClelland and her infant son Roger Dishman. She was a school bus driver for the Forsyth County School System.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 2 , 2008 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Jennings officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday, September 1, 2008 at Badger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jarvis is survived by, her husband: Ernest Carrol Jarvis, two sons, Eddie Dishman and Edwin Dishman both of Taylorsville, two daughters, Cecelia Ham of Wilkesboro and Penny Hollar of Taylorsville, one brother, JP McClellan of Harmony, 6 grandchildren, Danny Dishman, Stacy Dishman, John Dishman, Tiffany Ham, Julie Ham, Nicholas Hollar, one great-grandchild, Kaylen Johnson, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bobby Allen
Mr. Bobby A. Allen, formerly of Savannah, GA, died August 22, 2008 in West Jefferson, NC. Mr. Allen was born on May 24, 1941 in Statesboro, GA and lived in the Savannah, GA area until the mid 1980’s. He traveled extensively with his employment and retired in West Jefferson, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Alice and Jesse Aaron Allen and his sister, Catherine Susan Allen Richardson.
Surviving are his wife, Willene Peavy Allen; children and step-children, Gina Marchant, Diana Gray, Melissa Long, Matthew Allen, Tina Jackson and Wendy Franklin; sister, Cindy Allen Smith; nieces, Jessica Waters and Savannah Smith; and thirteen grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Badger Funeral Home Chapel, West Jefferson, NC on August 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M., the Reverend Steve LeaShomb officiating.

Glen Mash
Mr. Glen Clifton Mash, age 90 of Jefferson, NC, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Mr. Mash was born October 4, 1917 in Ashe County to Foster and Amanda Miller Mash. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Gene Mash.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bud Shepherd and Rev. Fredrick Dixon. Burial will follow in the Foster-Mash cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 PM Friday, Aug. 22nd at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruby Severt Miller, age 83 of Fleetwood, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Miller was born August 9, 1925 in Ashe County to the late Len and Mae Dympsey Severt. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband: John Miller, sons: Phillip and Charles Miller, sister: Dorothy Miller and brother: Leonard Severt.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jack Miller and Rev. Lawrence Goodman. Burial will follow in the Miller cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service.

Mr. Cory Lynn Dugger, age 19 of West Jefferson, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Mr. Dugger was born August 10, 1988 in Ashe County to Michael and Lisa Evans Dugger. Cory was a member of Bald Mtn. Baptist Church.
He attended Ashe County High School.

Miss Helen Deana Stanley, age 78 of Jefferson, NC died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Miss Stanley was born August 2, 1929 in Ashe County to the late Emmett and Della Duncan Stanley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by sisters: Dorothy, Faye and Gladys and brothers: Howard and Harold.
